Ok, so I take it you know how to port forward? And I'm getting tutor moves figured out for my Fakemon, and after that it's just a matter of getting Egg Moves done.
Yo Ninjabait, I've got a server almost fully functional (port forwarding confuses me, so I'm not further than that), so if you'd like we could have a Fakemon metagame on it eventually.

I just said, it could be that your internet (which I don't believe is a proper noun so you can stop capitalizing it btw) is hooked up so it won't let your laptop connect but everything else will. Just a guess, and I can't think of anything else. If there was some form of electromagnetic interference like you mentioned I believe your other devices would be messed up too.
