I'm new to breeding shiny Pokemon, so correct me if I'm wrong, but once the egg has been determined shiny it will always be shiny, right? No matter which game it hatches in?

Well I could get the shiny sprites but those are fairly static. I don't like the cliche "Pokemon picture on top of background" banner, so that's why I like card pictures, because they have more versatility.
