Nah, the only guides I read were those in The Smog.
Don't trust anyone.
I wouldn't recommend having me teach you anything lol since I'm pretty much a beginner myself. The best way to learn I think is playing the game yourself I think. You should observe the games already in progress and see what you can learn from those. Also join #fluodome on IRC and play some real time mafia to get a rough idea of what it's all about.
It's pretty fun. IRC is required though so you might want to read the IRC guide on the Smogon website. Also starting from #4 of The Smog there is a Mafia article in every issue and I'd highly recommend you read those. Then all you have to do is sign up for a Beginner game when a new one starts taking sign-ups.

school's been hell, i'm late on my rng abuse training, i haven't got my Platinum FC yet, and Cliff Burton died yesterday, but at least i still got my drums.

Thanks for making the banner, but I'm using someone else's. I do appreciate the hard work though, so if you want you can have credits in my thread, if you're into trading Pokemon or whatever.
