Hey! So are you applying for undergrad or med school right now? Because I'm currently an undergrad, and I'm starting my med school apps next year. I could still give you some tips on that, though, since I've been to so many premed advisors that I know what's going on anyway :)
As far as surviving college, it's not that different from surviving high school, really, only there's less drama. Just try to take at least some fun classes, get involved with things you truly enjoy doing, and you'll make friends just fine. Try not to get too caught up in the parties, but don't stay in on weekends to study all the time either. If you need help on something, email your professors or go to their office hours, because you'll not only get help, but you'll also get bonding time with the professor, which will be important for letters of recommendation later.
