I dunno. Pretty much, you know you can hit 1,000+ easily. So just that.
As the normal faster delays will be about ~500
I can hit 478 sometimes, but normally 488.
I like to hit the higher delays as you aren't rushing.
So use a delay of about 1,000 if you'd like.

Your delay isn't amount of seconds. It's a number in the hundreds.
Only if you want a shiny.
I suggest breeding to start. It's easier in that you hit lower delays, but you have to hit 2 and deal with NPC's which advance your frame.
Where as if you do a capture, it's a higher delay. But only have to hit one, and can avoid NPCs. Depends where you go.

Well I hear Non-c-gear is easier as it doesn't have a delay, but it's more like Emerald in the second time hitting and that's it. But it also depends on a lot of different variables to determine seeds for non-c-gear.
There are pros and cons to both.
