k, so there is a way to RNG in gen 5 with a DSi but it is harder than the one that does not use a DSi. For you, if you are not using a DS then g4 and g5 will be about the same level of dificulty, but g5 is slightly harder.
tl;dr
you have 3 choices:
1. RNG gen 4 (slightly easier than #2 if using HGSS)
2. RNG gen 5
3. get an emulator
DSis will not work. What is a G4?

I can't really teach you that well, because i haven't actually done any gen 5 rng. The reason i helped sunshine is because I was helping him with gen 4 rng, and so we also began gen 5 rng.
However, gen 5 rng is very simple and i can provide you with resources and simple instructions. What type of DS do you have?

Um, sorry if this is a bother, but would it be alright if the Registeel is Semi Redis instead of Full Redis? I don't really want to annoy the people on Smogon Wi-fi who RNG'd for Seismic Toss Registeels, and Full Redis kinda makes my Registeel almost worthless =/.
