With my flashcart. I have a DTSS which I run Pokemon Black, White, Plat and White JPN with. I have both retail carts too but I don't use them too much anymore now that I know how to abuse on an emu.
I save the pokemon as a file, open PokeGen then open the file and load it onto my .sav so I don't really do trades, I just do quick transfers.

Depends, imho it's not 100% safe if you use that to clone a poke. IR-GTS is better for that but only works for 5th gen, so probably only AR codes and flash cart backups are safe for cloning in 4th gen.
