Hey, About Shroomish with headbutt RNG. I've done it before. there is only one tree in all of Kanto that you can find it. On that tree what you find depends on your game.
on HG, its so difficult, like 4% encounter rate, so that gives it such a high encounter slot. you will find more Seedots then Shroomish. on SS, its the exact opposite, I believe.
On that tree you can find:
Night: (Hoothoot, Caterpie, Weedle, Kakuna, Metapod and Shroomish)
Day: (Same as above plus Seedot. I believe you can only find seedot in the morning.)

I hope this helps. The tree you find it in is in the South Eastern corner of Viridian Forest. it should be inside a little crater. there are rwo trees. It is the uppernost tree in the crater.

I don't have the blocks yet either (I'm still waiting for Baoba to call >.>) but I've already abused a Shiny Timid HP Fire Magneton and Wobbuffet (Lol). The problem with using no blocks is that you might not get the pokemon you're looking for on your shiny frame, which is why it's a good idea to use a seed with more than one shiny frame.

Awesome! Rock Climb + Sheer Force + STAB... that's awesome. I only have ~700 DW points, lol, so I rely on breeding my DW pokemon. But, in Tauros' case, you can't get Rock Climb through breeding :(

Try Safari Zone abuse. It's waaaay easier and there are no NPCs. The only thing is, you don't know what pokemon you'll find since there are no encounter slots mapped out.

Ok there are no delays in 3rd gen game only frame advancements..in emerald your frame starts from 0..so you need poken rng version 1.1 to search from spreads in 3rd gen games
