No, not that I know of.
My tutee lives in Austrailia so yeah it's quite different from the US one of the farthest timezones with a lot of users here on smogon come from Austrailia so it's quite popular.
I'm sure the staff did but they didn't find another tutor with a similiar timezone with the user.
Me, lol. Which was 5 PM on his timezone.
Crazy eh?
Pretty good, one tutee I had a session with him 3 AM due to the timezones.
