    the song is about people in general, about war and violence. "The promised land" Refers to The story of Moses (you know it? I'm not religious, but I still do) where he brought the "good people" to the promised land, where there was no war or violence. But only those who weren't fighting or causing such wars were brought there.

    It's saying that there is no need for violence and war, as all it does is create "a hole in the world" (the world dieing, not physically, however)
    and a "cloud of fear and sorrow" (the trauma the innocent experience)

    yeah but where do we strike? i mean, it's not like a real war right? we DO fight them wiv pokemon battles right? so we can't just decide on one moment 'CHAAAARGE' when they're not even online on PO. those are the things i can't grasp of the situation. whatever, i'll just await orders from YOU with a PM or VM, if you can hopefully explain me this, and i guess i should create a OU team again or something
