So my advice would be replace excadrill with something that could patch up your weaknesses.
Excadrill is good in sand because he's fast and has good coverage with a STAB earthquake. This means if he's in and sand is up he can do some serious damage to the pokemon he's facing or the switch-in, while being faster than all unboosted pokemon in OU.
I said without sand. Excadrill is really bad if you don't have tyranitar or hippowdon, because it needs sand to activate Sand Rush.

It won't be very different. You got lucky that Starmie missed with Hydro Pump, otherwise it would have been 6-0. Why are you running excadrill without sand? Excadrill is terrible without sand.
