That's why using RNG Reporter to track your frame is better than counting the advancements yourself. :)
Especially since sometimes your starting frame isn't 1, because of the NPC. For example, if you need K, E, P to confirm your seed, you might get into the game and call Elm right away. But you get P instead of K, but you still hit your seed. That's because the NPC advanced the frame, so having RNG Reporter to track your frame really helps. Does that make sense? :s

Also, what do you mean? The frame doesn't advance at all when you pick up the egg. You have to advance the frame with Elm/Irwin calls to 11. :P

I usually don't save after I take the egg, just in case.
Wait, did you paste the seed into RNG Reporter, change the method to Breed (HGSS), and click generate? You can keep track of what frame you're on (By the Elm Responses) and that way you don't even have to think about your starting frame. Or were you already doing that?
You can, but there's really no point in doing that lol. You already saved before you took the egg when you were trying to get the shinyness. So it wouldn't make a difference. Why would you want to save again? xD

For IVs, verify your seed with calls, and if you seem to have hit your seed, advance to frame 11, and take the egg ASAP! Then hatch the egg and check the IVs :3

Edit: Also, when verifying your seed, make sure you don't pass up frame 11!
Confirm your seed, then use Joey to advance the frame to 11 (5 calls).
Then generate the egg by biking, and save in front of the old man, and verify :)
Yeah, in G4 breeding Everstone's are not required which is great :)
I am not sure but i am certainly it does affect it in platinum. And you don't need everstone you just find a seed in reporter for the nature gender and shiness you want
I've decided I'm going to try and RNG every single Pokemon in my thread that isn't mine. Save it for a few Legendaries that I can't get. xD

For Landorus? Repeat Ball seems best for Shiny
Wow that's a lot more advnaces than I like to do. Most of the Shiny Frames I found have only needed like 90 advancements at Max.
