PK, I know I'm not a mod, but I'm really getting tired of these "i'm dropping x for y analysis" in the RU analyses forum. With regards to the most recent incident, I have removed the offending user's current reservation and denying him any other reservations until further notice. I hope this is okay for now.

My point was to highlight how hypocritical it is that you posted in a thread that was largely vitriol-free at that point and posted a multiple paragraph rant about how annoying you felt the user in question was, which was completely unrelated to discussion of whether or not it was a good idea to badge him or not because it was entirely based on your personal opinion of him. You then got offended when I called you out for it, as though you hadn't been the one to instigate the change of pace in the thread.

Here's a reality check: If your definition of "self-centered" is defending a user you happen not to like by calling you out, you're delusional. "The point" here is that you seem to think since you're already staff or whatever it's perfectly okay for you to be as "smug" and "self-centered" as you want and insult and insult potential badgeholders you might not like, yet apparently you expect not to have to defend the fact your entire post outside of two lines was flaming MrE.

As I said in the thread and again in the last VM it is completely irrelevant what you or anyone else thinks of someone on a personal level when they are badged. That isn't personal attack: badges aren't given out for sucking cock here(or are they?), they're given out to try to advantage the site by incentivizing/rewarding users. I'm not really sure what you're even talking about in regard to "brushing shoulders in the past" because I barely even know who you are, but you're completely missing the point if you think I'm just attacking you for the sake of attacking you. Or if you think your post was any more innocuous than mine... I'm still really not sure how you think you're innocent in this exchange. Stop playing the victim.

Additionally, I think I made it pretty obvious in my first post in that thread why I didn't respond to the "contribution" part of the argument, if you actually read it prior to running off to post your frothing flame post.

If you really think that was just flamebait and there was nothing wrong you should probably consider re-evaluating your attitude. Your post was completely out of line. Read your post and then mine and then tell me who's post is "an abrasive internet tough guy" rant. You flamed the hell out of a user who was up for badging for reasons essentially completely unrelated to what was being discussed. Your entire post is a whiny, off-topic rant. That isn't okay in Inside Scoop or frankly anywhere, and I'm really not sure what you think makes you entitled to post a giant rant insulting another user because you find them "annoying" and then think you're justified in being upset because I called you out for not sticking to the issue being discussed in the topic. Maybe you should start a LiveJournal or something, maybe you can find people there who give a shit beyond other people who had already posted similarly stupid posts in the same topic.
