  • I think I'll test it.

I found a couple of frame 1 seeds but none are swarm encounters! Besides, I find about 20~ seeds by making it 1-13 (Although so far, out of 24 seeds, only 1 has a swarm encounter...)!
Yes, I did. I think it's because it's a shiny frame :/ When I changed my ID/SID, it showed up syncable, but when I used my ID/SID combo, it didn't. Should I test it?

And, I'm aware of that. If I just walk the same path it shouldn't be too difficult! And even if it will be difficult, Idc. I want my Yanma :3
So, would around 95 steps and turn 10 times to make the clouds appear?
    D481055F18E86A5B Frame 835

I'm pretty sure RNG Reporter is right, but it would be awesome if it was wrong somehow :x

And, the IV frame is 3 so advancing the PID frame would take a while, but I'm fine with that. :P
Ok, let me know when it works for you.

    92413A7191E06C21 IV:4, PID: 247
Kiebin, is RNG Reporters main window correct about sync natures for swarms? I FINALLY found a seed that yields a swarm encounter on the target frame... but the main window says it's not syncable D:
What about these? B7A4CFC5B479B37F, IV frame 2, PID frame 161

Also, can you post a screenshot of your researcher set up?
hey can you check whether this seed will yield a dust cloud pokemon? I put in exactly what it said in Researcher, and I'm not seeing the value.

    Lol >.<

I think I'll just stick to looking for swarm seeds, my non-shiny Swanna is good enough for me :P
Yes. The snapshot I gave you had the seed I gave you (I tried to see if it would work for Yanma, and when I changed the encounter type to swarm it was still 536) so I looked at frame 540 and it had 65 in Custom 5. I also made sure the PIDs matched and they did. I'll just keep looking!
Yeah, that's the problem :/ If swarm's appear 40% of the time (According to Serebii) I should've found a seed by now! >.<

Method 5 PIDRNG? :P If you mean the encounter type, it's for Wild Pokemon Cave Spots.
    :o

You know how to find out if it's an encounter or not? Can you check for this seed, frame 536 please? 4EE689AE8C628438. Or tell me how to do it, either would be appreciated! I was going to try this seed yesterday but I didn't feel like it :P

Edit: Also, can you tell me if I'm setting up researcher correctly for finding out if there's a swarm encounter or not? I keep finding great seeds but none are swarm encounters on the target frame :/ http://fc05.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2011/337/b/0/researcher_by_princessofjohto-d4i2b9t.png
Well, I just assumed. When I was looking for my initial frame, I did no PID advancements and luckily I got a battle on my first try. I caught the Swanna and it did have the right IVs, so I looked at any possible PID frames that matched.

Frame 48 was my calculated initial frame, but since I had to take 100 steps to advance the IV frame I probably advanced the PID frame by about 4 - 6 (Iirc, every 17-20 steps advances the PID frame by 1, not completely sure though). The Swanna I caught was Timid (My Sync nature), Ability 0, Female, and Often Dozes Off and the lowest frame I found that had those was 54. My target was 236, so the next time I hit my seed I did 182 PID advancements and I got a wing. Do you want me to give you the seed?
I used the shadow spot to check. If it appeared in the same spot, then I hit my seed. Luckily, there's no NPCs on Marvelous bridge to interfere with that :)
Kiebin, if you're going for a Swanna do HP Ground, Imo! Water/Flying hits almost everything in the game for at least neutral damage, the only things that resist both are Lanturn, Empoleon, and Dialga (Lol) which are all hit by HP Ground.

But, Grass/Electric does hit water types for SE damage. I was trying to get a shiny HP Ground Swanna but my shiny frame was a wing :( So instead I just caught a non-shiny one that was on my initial frame. Dive Ball matches non-shiny Swanna nicely.
    32 bit high, +, 0, hex
    previous 1, +, 0
    custom 1, +, 0
    custom 2, *, 1000
    custom 4, >> 32

That good? I would look in custom 5 for the value?
    so it's 32 bit high, +, 0, hex
    previous 1, +, 0
    custom 1, +, 0
    custom 2, *, 100

Is that what you put into Researcher? If not, what did you put?

EDIT: What is the value range for a pokemon dust cloud?
I looked at them, but I can't figure what to put in

EDIT: Unless it's the same as what it was with Gothic Togekiss's screenshot.
Oh that how one collapse them, Got to remember that.

I see...so it doesn't matter so much which frame is looked up (minus the first three #4 gives me a number there), only if the frame that are less the 40 in them in the Swarm Decision.
How the heck do you get rid of them anyway? I tried, but it doesn't appear to give me an option.

BTW, I set my thing to give me about 1000 results but is they're any specific result you need to pay attention? Like the first result within the list is the one that matter the most?
Okay. I was asking this because the 64bit slot display another "seeds" one could use but didn't have the desired IVs I need.

Looks like I got everything, now it's time to see if I do it this time.
Okay, I understand the Custom slot thing and PID frame shown in Researcher being different than those shown within the main window. A question I need answering is do I still use the target seed that was given within Time Finder (desired seed(s)) or the one's showing up within Researcher (results)?
