Swift Swim Teams will destroy this metagame.
  2. A Vortex of Fairies (Hyperoffense)

I played you earlier today with the Garchomp version of the team :) Figuring out what to lead with is a problem with this team. It has troubles getting rid of Aegislash and Genesect due to their priority and speed. The pokes who have the super-effective moves to deal with them (Fire Blast/HP...
  3. Serperior

What about Superpower (since Malamar has Contrary, maybe it will have a rival for it)?
  4. Other Most overhyped or underated aspect this gen so far?

252 Atk Choice Band Talonflame Brave Bird vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Thundurus: 143-168 (47.6 - 56%) -- 82.8% chance to 2HKO Thundurus is not switching into Jolly Talonflame safely, especially if Stealth Rocks or Sandstorm are up. Timid Thundurus outspeeds Adamant Talonflame by two points. Talon HAS to...

People don't know about Magic Guard Life Orb Clefable...
  6. RMT the gods of OU (peaked 2200)

Superpower is not selectable for Landorus-T on Showdown, nor can Lucario currently learn Ice Punch on Showdown. These are Gen 5 tutor moves. Sleep Talk on Talonflame? Softboiled is a Gen 3 tutor move for Clefable, it is not legal.
  7. VGC 2014 Rules

One Mega Evolution per battle is a game mechanic, not a tournament rule. The game physically will not let you Mega Evolve two pokes in the same battle.
  8. Pokémon Bisharp

The more I play, the more I struggle to keep Bisharp alive. Ground and Fire moves are run in spades to deal with Aegislash and Klefki. Sub sets seem to be its best option to survive in OU.
  9. Pokémon Kangaskhan

She learns Crunch via level up. Can she take a Focus Miss after Gengar switches in and subs?
  10. Pokémon Azumarill

Water resists steel, thus Bullet Punch is neutral on Azumarill.
  11. Pokémon Chesnaught (Revamp Occurring)

Sludge Wave is TM34. Is the TM incompatible with Gengar or something?
  12. Other The Lack of Power Creep in Gen 6

People forgetting we can now EQ Mega Gengar or something?
  13. Pokémon the starters role in the metagame

Go into the actual game, boot up TM97.
  14. Carracosta (Analysis)

Where was the announcement for Skymin being moved to Ubers?
  15. Cinccino

Do you have confirmation of this change? All the known changes so far indicate that these moves still have the Gen 4 probability distribution. EDIT: Irrespective of the alleged changes, these moves cannot hit 3.167 times, so in actuality, the average result will still be three hits = 112.5.
  16. Cinccino

The only thing Chilla will be getting STAB on is Tail Slap - at 3 hits, this is 168.75BP; still super awesome, I'll admit. The point is this: With Technician, three times out of four, you will not match Skill Links BP. Three times out of eight, you won't even make the average BP. You're...
  17. What aren't we writing about? (Pokemon unfit for OU Analyses)

Why is Chillachino excluded from OU analysis? Skill link, 115 base speed and excellent move coverage allow it OHKOs on several OU threats, even without hazard support. Pokes like Swampert, Hippowdon, Suicune, Burungeru and Shanderaa are just ruined by 125BP super effective attacks - and for...
  18. Cinccino

Well, to start, the probability distribution of these moves is: 2 Hits: 37.5% 3 Hits: 37.5% 4 Hits: 12.5% 5 Hits: 12.5% If my mathematics are correct, the average outcome of these moves without using Skill Link is: 2*.375 + 3*.375 + 4*.125 + 5*.125 = 3.000 Hits. Ergo: The average base...
  19. Cinccino

That is assuming T/Tar doesn't have any HP or Def EVs. Put 252 HP, 0 Def on Tar and you get: Chirachiino@Life Orb (252 EVs, +Nature) Bullet Seed vs Tyranitar (252/0 EVs, Neutral Nature): 71.7 ~ 84.6% (290 ~ 342 HP) Chirachiino@Life Orb (252 EVs, +Nature) Wake-Up Slap vs Tyranitar (252/0 EVs...
  20. Cloyster

Clamp does not benefit from Skill Link, if I recall correctly. It does not hit successive times in a turn, but one time per turn over 2-5 turns. It's a Water-type Wrap, in effect, so you're never guaranteed 5 turns of Clamp.
