I get that viewpoint but I think there's a big difference from putting an extra flavour move on something and giving it a wide array of coverage moves. The move restrictions are needlessly restricting for allowing fringe designs. Similarly the stat restrictions don't allow 180-ing a Pokémons...

Let me explain why I think the movepool change restrictions are terrible. In general they work because when you are changing types you can remove the moves of the type you are are removing (or similar typed moves like Rock/Ground and Water/Ice) but with something like Porygon's line the movepool...

I 'fixed' Skarmory but honestly that restriction kind of ruins the concept given Skarmory's high base defense. The idea was it shedding the steel armour and losing most of it's defense capabilities to do a 180 on it's role. With -30, the max change I can make it's still got a very decent 110.

Its more likely that the save file has your time stored on it, so if you could manipulate the save file you could re-sync and unlock the events.
