Chandelure is usable in TR but 80 base speed is kind of pushing it. I do not typically use offensive pokemon to set up my TR. I feel it is better to have bulky setters that can heal off damage, stay in the fight, and keep setting up TR. My latest TR team that I have been using to great success...

    Pokémon Beedrill

I honestly think endeavor would be fine. The last move slot is up in the air anyways.

    Pokémon Talonflame

I've seen it done before. It works fine if they don't predict it. I'd assume you would be able to get away with it easily in lower ladder matches.

    Pokémon Gyarados

No problem! As with the case with Scizor, taking a good pokemon and giving it 100 more base stats is always a good thing! Remember that if you choose to go the crunch route, you can always pack in a pokemon with Heal Bell to get M-Gyra up and running again.

    Pokémon Gyarados

Well, as always, it depends on the rest of your team. Substitute works well against stall teams since it prevents them from giving it status. If you are looking to use it in the late game, however, it would probably appreciate having the extra coverage move in Crunch. Honestly, you should...

    Pokémon Sharpedo

It is probably there since most M-Sharpedo sets are going to have it on them. The whole Speed Boost plan sort of relies on it. Plus not every pokemon can have Protect. Just look at Magikarp! ;)

    Pokémon Sharpedo

It is easily forced out by anything that can take a hit and then fight back. But who knows? Maybe I just got a bad impression since I've seen M-Sharpedo misused so many times. It is odd how many people are sending it out first only to have it's only speed boost for the game wasted.

    Pokémon Dragalge

I personally would not run more than one special offense pokemon on a Trick Room team. TR normally use physical sweepers since it only takes a pink blob to stop your special pokemon cold and ruin your TR. With that said I do believe that Dragalge would work fine in TR, but two special attackers...

    Other Stall

I honestly do not see the reason to take M-Sabeleye. I really enjoy using regular ol' Sabeleye on my teams and I am glad that he got a mega evolution, but there is just too much of a disconnect between their roles. The main thing that contributes to Sabeleye's bulk is the fact that it has...

Other Gay Archive by Fren Ben ~o3o~

Thanks a bunch for the post Ben! I've learned quite a bit from all of the good replays you provided. If anyone who is reading this and wants to learn the stall game, I recommend watching them!

    Pokémon Sharpedo

I have played against so many people trying out M-Sharpedo, but I have never seen it do much of anything. It is much too predictable having to rely on Protect to get the boost up. The main problem is that it is easy to force out and when it is forced out it can't get the speed boost again. I...

    Pokémon Beedrill

Couldn't have said it better myself. If your pokemon is meant to use hit and run tactics it has no business using a set up move. Especially one that is as sub-par as Fell Stinger. Even if you get that dream 2+ off, any steel or rock type stops it dead.

    Pokémon Beedrill

I do not think that M-Beedrill can make great use of Fell Stinger let alone have a set built around it. The main problem is that if the opponent switches out, Fell Stinger won't do a thing. If the opponent's poke is low, you should just use U-Turn. Even if they switch, you benifit from the...

    Ladder Anything Goes

In my search of a pokemon with Own Tempo and Roar/Whirlwind, Avalugg came up. Could it be a potential SwagKey counter without using up your mega slot?

Glad you prefer DPP OU. That's a personal fav of mine as well. On topic, what was your main reason for disliking BW's OU metagame?

    Pokémon Beedrill

It is important to note that a pokemon with a U-Turn stronger than Scizor shouldn't be too affected by having a lack of coverage moves. M-Beedrill comes in and U-Turns most of the time, and really, that's exactly what it should be doing. Also, X-Scizzor over U-Turn? Get your priorities straight!

    Other Trick Room Playstyle

Hello everyone! I've come back from the dead just to give my 2 cents. I've been using the "gimmick" trickroom since the beginning of DPPt, and I have found that you have to do as much damage as possible during your first tr. The nature of a TR team should be one that will surprise your opponent...

    Pokémon Noivern

I still do not understand how people can say one ability is far superior than the other when they are so very different. Both Frisk and Infiltrator have their uses and just the fact that you have to good abilities to chose from makes Noivern better as a whole. Different sets call for different...

    Move Trick Room

Hey, thanks for the response, and I'm sorry for being gone so long after creating a nice discussion. I don't necessarily think that what I am running is hyper offensive. After all, the biggest perk of using a TR team is being able to invest in 252 HP and not be reliant on a nature that raises...

    Pokémon Talonflame

If it is going to force a switch, then why not Swords dance? It might help you kill their counter and I do not think Talonflame needs four attacking moves.
