  1. Rate My Team(bolded parts need help)

In general, unless you are using a stall team, tanks are more effective in the current metagame than "walls". This is simply because things like Machamp and Rotom offer more to the team than just sitting there like Cresselia or Dusknoir. For example, not only does Rotom-A counter Lucario and...
  2. OU Shoddy Team that Peaked at 1430 in 1 Day

Why not try Taunt on Tyranitar > Substitute. It still prevents status, with the exception of those moves with side effects, which would get to you anyways without a Sub up, while also being able to stop Skarmory from ruining you. As for Swampert, a simple Grass Knot > Explosion on Bronzong...
  3. Rate My Battle Tower Team

What about CM Blissey? She is always a bitch to take down, and with Softboiled it should be able to take a few pokes down. Serene Grace could be annoying with Ice Beam and Thunderbolt, or Natural Cure for Toxic. I love the lead Ape tho. Fake Out, then Close Combat or Overheat depending on...
  4. Rate My Battle Tower Team

Can you elaborate more on the 252 Attack EVs? Also, I prefer Expert Belt as it provides similar power, due to the coverage, without the recoil, which he can't recover.
  5. I need some good Smogon rates. No catchy titles here, I just need some help.

The ignorant statement of SpecsLuke being inferior in just about every way infuriated me and left me with a poor first impression... On to the team. I find Curse / Rest / Sleep Talk / Waterfall a superior set on Swampert. With all the teams running your standard Zapdos / Scizor, Lucario /...
  6. Rate My Battle Tower Team

EDIT: CM Blissey > Starmie. Infernape @ Focus Sash Ability: Blaze Nature: Naive (+Spe, -SpD) EV: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe -Fake Out -Close Combat -U-Turn -Overheat Works nicely as a starter. Fake Out destroys Focus Sashes, while Overheat and Close Combat put things in pain. U-Turn...
  7. RMT-First Time

Mamoswine is by no means a Heatran counter. It is weak to both of its STAB moves(should Heatran be even carrying Flash Cannon), plus it has subpar special defense and defense, meaning Earth Power and Explosion will hurt, as well as HP Grass.
  8. Team Godsend. RMT. New Battler

I wasn't aware that Starmie was an electric type. EQ seems rather useless, I think Hammer Arm would be better not only for Tyranitar, but Porygon-Z as well.
  9. RMT: The best defense is a good offense

Infernape @ Choice Scarf Ability: Blaze Nature: Rash (+SpA, -SpD) EV: 36 Atk / 252 SpA / 220 Spe -Overheat -Close Combat -Hidden Power [Ice] -U-Turn ScarfApe is a great lead, getting quick hits on the majority of common leads. Things like Bronzong and Gengar are OHKOed by Overheat, destroying...
  10. The Choice to Be Different

I really like this team actually, especially that Entei set you are running. For teams like this that have 3 or more Choicers, there are two important things, a rapid spinner and a wishpasser. Seeing as you have both of those, the only thing I can say is good luck.
  11. RMT: Pretty much Standard OU (need help)

Lum Berry>Leftovers on Bronzong. Lum Berry is a must for lead Zong to beat Gengar and other Bronzongs. It will allow you to OHKO Gengar after it puts ou to sleep. Another thing, you might want to switch Zapdos into a Resttalker with a Calm nature to combat Gengar. Looks decent otherwise.
  12. First Team in a while and I think it's good (but not perfect...)

IMO the only effective Umbreon set is one with Charm. Without it, you become just setup fodder for the likes of Gyarados, Heracross, Machamp, Lucario, and other strong fighters. Wish could go over Moonlight as the omnipresent sand will destroy it, plus Wish helps most of your team who don't...
  13. RMT: Offensive DDNite Sweep Team

This is very true, Safeguard would work very nicely, however I rarely use that last move. Outrage and Earthquake are typically the only moves I need, so the last move options are now: Dragon Claw, Safeguard, and I have other ideas-Thunder can hurt Gyarados and other bulky waters, who without it...
  14. RMT: Offensive DDNite Sweep Team

Hmm, Nidoqueen is definitely an option. I would probably run the standard set, tho with Stealth Rock > Toxic Spikes, making SpecsMence and Gyarados a bit more afraid to switch in, and then Aerial Ace and Ice Beam for Zapdos? Lum Berry on Magnezone will do.
  15. RMT: Offensive DDNite Sweep Team

Azelf @ Choice Scarf Ability: Levitate Nature: Naive (+Spe, -SpD) EV: 36 Atk / 252 SpA / 220 Spe -U-Turn -Psychic -Flamethrower -Explosion This is possibly my favorite lead. With Choice Scarf and a Naive nature, I outspeed all Gengars and essentially every other lead. Since Weaviles...
  16. RMT: OU Standard but Bleu Cheese is Gross!

Without Seismic Toss this team gets raped by Raikou and Heatran too. Calm on Blissey allows me to switch into Azelf, Porygon-Z and Heatran more easily, while Bold only allows me to survive EQs from Swampert and Hippowdon, and I won't be surviving too many fighting attacks, seeing as STAB...
  17. RMT: OU Standard but Bleu Cheese is Gross!

Gyarados @ Leftovers Ability: Intimidate Nature: Adamant (+Atk, -Sp Atk) EV: 72 HP / 252 Atk / 184 Spd -Dragon Dance -Ice Fang -Earthquake -Waterfall Excellent lead with Intimidate and no Pursuit weak. I usually just switch out and save him for late game, since most leads dominate...
  18. RMT: Bulky Salamence and Rhyperior

Well the only way to prevent Mamoswine from ripping this team up is adding Cresselia or Bronzong. Bronzong could help your Weavile weak too and set up Stealth Rock. Weavile doesn't beat Milotic with Brick Break, plus after that he can switch to Mence to set up a possible sweep. Oh yeah, and I...
  19. My First Team

Definitely Grass Knot or Energy Ball on Sceptile, Giga Drain just has too little power and besides, it doesn't even give much health back. Use whatever Charizard works better for you. Weezing needs Fire Blast to 2HKO Heracross. Put CB or LO on Duggie, maybe even Choice Scarf. Either way...
  20. Umm...standard? My first RMT in awhile.

Here come the MixApe police. Everyone get down!!!!!!! Anyways, you need more special attack on Starmie to beat Garchomp, shoot for 269 and just use the standard set, as the defense doesn't save you from everything, it just allows an extra Pursuit to hit you, but you can't survive if you switch...
