  1. Animal Crossing: New Leaf

It doesn't look like anyone else has mentioned this, so I'll give it a shot. The island is a goldmine if you kill everything but the palm trees. Hunting beetles after 7pm I earned something like 350k in an hour.
  2. Ask a Simple Question; Get a Simple Answer & General Resources (OU Edition)

NFE pokemon can be used in any tier, provided they are not listed on that tier's banlist (Ubers for OU, BL for UU, etc.) Sheer force removes the recoil from Life Orb, but does not remove any other sort of recoil.
  3. Isshu vs. Unova. STOP CHANGING THE THREADS NAME!

I don't want to see Unova over this, but I have an Isshu with this not being a poll. Either way, I have no Isshu with Unova, so I'll vote for the engish name.
  4. Challenge Nuzlocke Challenge

The idea is to begin the game with the full party of six, all at level five.
  5. Challenge Nuzlocke Challenge

Okay, so I got an idea for a nuzlocke variant that I'd like to try out. It's supposed to be a much harder version of the challenge. The Rules: 1. my team will consist of six pokemon chosen at random from the entire pokedex, excluding the GBU banlist. If the rng selects an evolved pokemon, I...
  6. I'm looking for advice with tournys

I agree that swiss is an excellent compromise between round-robin and single or double elimination brackets. The game shop here that runs local MTG tournaments usually does three randomly paired rounds (so everybody gets to play three matches regardless of record), and then the four or eight...
  7. Ask a simple question, get a simple answer - mark 24 (READ THE OP)

Each of these two answers is half right: Arceus is only obtainable at level 100, and therefore cannot be EV trained normally. You can, however, apply vitamins and use the box trick to get the EVs from those. Vitamins are capped at 100 EVs per stat, though. Arceus is banned on the Ubers ladder...

Yes, but he means identical in every way, including ID's as well as stats, nature, egg moves, pokeball, etc.

This is incorrect. Though there is heal bell tutor in HGSS, you can't use him to teach it to Dragonite. Dragonite can only learn the move by being purified in Pokemon XD for the Gamecube, meaning Heal Bell is incompatible with 4th gen egg moves.
  10. Pokemon Black & White, aka Gen 5. Coming to Japan in Fall 2010.

I don't mean to nitpick, but Lombre and Nuzleaf evolve into Ludicolo and Shiftry, respectively. I do agree with your point as a whole, however, and would gladly look forward to an Arbok evo especially.
  11. The First Smogon Council - Salamence

Whether you're right or wrong only matters AFTER the play has been made. How likely you are to be right or wrong is what matters before the play is made, and in Hip's example, you have more "correct" options "incorrect" options, meaning you have a higher chance of making the right prediction...
  12. Ask a simple question, get a simple answer - mark 23 (READ THE OP)

You're exaggerating quite a lot. Take a spin through the RMT archives, and you'll see that even some of the RMTs that are considered the best of all time offer only a brief paragraph about the purpose of each pokemon, and then a threat list detailing the team's plans against most major threats...
  13. Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

I'm trying to get a Boomlax from the Pokewalker, and I can see how to get the IVs I want now, but how would I go about getting a specific desired nature? Or do I just have to keep resetting until the nature is right? EDIT: I plugged seed B010049 into RNG reporter using Wondercard IV generation...
  14. Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

I was just looking at the information on pokewalker pokes in the research thread (I'm trying to get a boomlax) and, unfortunately, All I see is *MATH* and I can't figure out how to translate that information into something usable. Would somebody be willing to PM me and help walk me through how...
  15. Ask a simple question, get a simple answer - VGC edition

you can RNG pokewalker pokes?! Where might I find out how to do this?
  16. Ask a simple question, get a simple answer - VGC edition

I had considered that, but I wouldn't necessarily call a 5% chance after 8,000 steps "easy". Not to mention how hard it will be to get even decent stats that way. If a non-SD Snorlax is at all viable, I'd rather do that than torture myself with trying to get one out of Winner's Path.
  17. Ask a simple question, get a simple answer - VGC edition

Is a non-selfdestruct Snorlax at all viable in TR? I'd love to use Lax but I don't currently have access to XD for the tutor, not to mention the relative difficulty of breeding perfect 'mons in Emerald.
  18. Ask a simple question, get a simple answer - VGC edition

What do you guys think of running Speed IVs of 1-2 on a TR team as an anti-metagame measure? Basically my idea is that the stats are still low enough that I outspeed most teams under TR, but in the mirror I can try to stop TR from going up, and then all of my pokes (especially the ubers) are...
  19. Ask a simple question, get a simple answer - VGC edition

Could someone give me some idea of what a TR smeargle lead should look like? I figure it's brave with fake-out, dark void, filler, filler, but I'm not sure how close that is to reality, and I'm not sure what his EVs should look like. EDIT: also, I'm obviously new to this, and I was wondering...
  20. Ask a simple question, get a simple answer - mark 22 (READ THE OP)

1)Red Gyarados does work, but you need to treat it like a chained shiny. (i.e., save, catch it, find exact IVs, use the SID finder in RNG reporter, reset, rinse, repeat.) 2) as far as I know, yes. 3)+4) don't know and am too lazy to research.
