[OVERVIEW]

  • Dwebble carves itself a niche as a hazard setter by being the fastest Pokémon in the metagame with access to Stealth Rock and Spikes.
  • Dwebble also has good attack and access to Shell Smash, which allows it to perform a sweeper role as well.
  • Dwebble has two great abilities in Sturdy and Weak Armor that require different counterplay and increase it's unpredictability.
  • Dwebble's typing gives it very few resistances, which hinders it's defensive capabilities.
  • Dwebble is susceptible to Knock Off, as it heavily decreases the longevity of it's Sturdy sets and it's Weak Armor sets rely on Eviolite for bulk.
  • Dwebble faces competition from Onix, which has the same abilities, can perform the same roles as Dwebble, is faster, and has a better STAB combination.

[SET]
name: Shell Smash sweeper
move 1: Shell Smash
move 2: Rock Blast / Stone Edge
move 3: Earthquake
move 4: Knock Off
item: Berry Juice
ability: Sturdy
nature: Adamant
evs: 236 HP / 236 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

  • Shell Smash raises Dwebble's attack and speed by 2 stages, drastically increasing it's power and allowing it to outspeed the entire unboosted metagame.
  • Rock blast is Dwebble's main STAB move, it is the most accurate rock-type move with good power and will often hit at least as hard as Rock Slide due to LC's low HP totals. It also breaks Focus Sash and Sturdy.
  • Alternatively Stone Edge can be chosen for more consistent damage if it hits and to bypass Berry Juice on opponents like Weak Armor Vullaby.
  • Earthquake is Dwebble's best coverage move, it hits Pawniard and Onix, who resist Rock Blast, super effectively, and hits other Pokémon that resist Rock Blast neutrally, like Timburr and Mudbray.
  • Knock Off is Dwebble's second strongest physical move with 100% accuracy if the opponent's item is intact, and can be a useful tool to pick off less bulky or weakened opponents that are immune to or resist Earthquake when you don't want to risk a miss.

Set Details
========

  • Maximum attack EVs and boosting nature is used to optimize Dwebble's sweeping power.
  • Maximum speed EVs allow Dwebble to outspeed almost the entire metagame after a Shell Smash boost, only tying in speed to Choice Scarf Diglett.
  • Sturdy guarantees you live one hit when at full health, allowing Dwebble to take a hit while setting up.
  • Berry Juice restores your HP to full when it goes below 50%, making your sweep less hindered by priority.
  • Rest EVs are not spent on HP to ensure that Berry Juice restores your health fully, giving Sturdy another chance to activate.

Usage Tips
========

  • Dwebble should be used as a late-game sweeper.
  • Try to bring Dwebble in on a free switch, after a Pokémon has fainted or a slow U-turn, so it doesn't lose it's Berry Juice early by switching into an attack.
  • Weaken or remove bulky Pokémon like Mudbray, Spritzee and Timburr before attempting to sweep with Dwebble, because they otherwise survive your moves even at +2 and retaliate for lots of damage.
  • Also remove any possible priority users on the opponent's team, because they can hinder your sweep and their moves deal more damage after you've lowered your defense.
  • Try to avoid switching Dwebble into entry hazards at all costs, as this will stop Sturdy from working and rob you from your safe Shell Smash.
  • With sturdy intact, Dwebble can also act as a countermeasure for enemy sweepers that don't have multi-hit moves.

Team Options
========

  • Entry hazards from Pokémon like Ferroseed or Pawniard wear enemy Pokémon when down, allowing Dwebble to KO more opponents.
  • Pokémon that remove hazards for you are essential, like Defog Timburr or Vullaby.
  • Pokémon that bring Dwebble in safely are good partners, like U-turn Vullaby or Parting Shot Pancham.
  • Pokémon that deal with bulky ground types make good partners, like Giga Drain Ferroseed or Scald Wingull.
  • Pokémon that deal with Timburr are good partners, like Mareanie or Ponyta-Galar.
  • Wynaut is a possible partner, because it can trap and remove Timburr and Mudbray for Dwebble, and maybe give it a free turn to set up if Wynaut encores the opponent into a status move.
  • Final Gambit Diglett can also trap and take out or severely weaken a Pokémon that would otherwise wall you.
  • Knock off support by Pokémon like Timburr or Farfetch'd-Galar is welcome, for very few pokemon will be able to take Dwebble's boosted moves without an Eviolite.
  • Pokémon that don't mind or take advantage of common priority that tries to end Dwebble's sweep are good partners, like Weak Armor Vullaby or Croagunk.

[SET]
name: Bulky hazard setter
move 1: Stealth Rock
move 2: Spikes / Earthquake
move 3: Rock Blast
move 4: Knock Off
item: Eviolite
ability: Weak Armor
nature: Jolly / Adamant
evs: 36 HP / 156 Atk / 76 Def / 236 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

  • Stealth Rock is your main entry hazard, damaging and wearing down every Pokémon in the tier bar Solosis.
  • Spikes is another entry hazard for additional damage to grounded foes.
  • Alternatively, Earthquake can be used to give Dwebble more combat utility.
  • Rock Blast is your STAB move and strongest neutral damage output, threatening Pokémon like Rufflet and Vullaby, and wearing down other foes.
  • Knock off has good damage output and removes the opponent's item, also helping to wear them down.

Set Details
========

  • EVs in HP and defense accompanied by an Eviolite give Dwebble solid physical bulk, allowing it to take multiple physical hits and activate Weak Armor.
  • Max EVs and boosting nature in speed allow Dwebble to outspeed threats like most Vullaby and fast Mareanie, and outspeed the entire metagame after a Weak Armor boost.
  • EVs in attack increase Dwebble's power, which makes it force more switches and wear opponents down more.
  • An adamant nature can also be used to increase damage, but this makes you lose some speed battles against Pokémon like Pawniard or Vullaby without a boost.

Usage Tips
========

  • Dwebble can function as a lead to get hazards onto the field quickly.
  • Try to switch Dwebble into neutral or resisted physical attacks in order to take advantage of Weak Armor.
  • Try to avoid special attacks, as Dwebble's special defense is mediocre.
  • Try to avoid getting hit by Knock Off early in the game, because this limits your switchins severely.
  • Dwebble can force opponents that fear Rock Blast to switch out; use these turns to stack on as many hazards as possible.

Team Options
========

  • Late-game sweepers and cleaners like Shellder and Nasty Plot Vullaby appreciate Dwebble laying down entry hazards and removing opponent's Eviolites, and make for good partners.
  • Spritzee can pass a Wish to Dwebble, keeping it alive and allowing it to switch in more often.
  • Dwebble is weak to Stealth Rock, so hazard removal like Defog Timburr or Rapid Spin Drilbur is appreciated. Rapid Spin doesn't remove your own hazards and therefor synergizes with Dwebble even more.
  • Pawniard makes for a good partner, as it can punish Defog with Defiant and help wearing down opponents with Knock Off.
  • Pokémon that deal with Defog Timburr make for good partners, like Oddish or Mareanie.
  • Pokémon that resist rock-type moves are good partners, like Timburr or Mudbray.
  • Pokémon that can deal with bulky water types are good partners, like Croagunk or Ferroseed.
  • Other Pokémon that carry an entry hazard like Ferroseed or Pawniard can free up a moveslot on Dwebble for Earthquake.
[SET]
name: Suicide lead
move 1: Stealth Rock
move 2: Spikes
move 3: Knock Off
move 4: Stone Edge / Earthquake
item: Berry Juice
ability: Sturdy
nature: Jolly
evs: 236 Atk / 236 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

  • Stealth Rock is your main entry hazard, damaging and wearing down every Pokémon in the metagame bar Solosis.
  • Spikes is your second entry hazard, damaging all grounded foes.
  • Knock Off can remove the Berry Juice of other suicide leads, reducing their longevity and impact on the game.
  • Stone Edge is Dwebble's strongest rock-type STAB (except for Rock Wrecker), threatening to OHKO foes like offensive Ponyta and Berry Juice Vullaby.
  • Alternatively, Earthquake can be used to deal more damage to foes that resist rock-type moves.

Set Details
========

  • Maximum EVs and boosting nature in speed are used to get out as many entry hazards before dying.
  • Maximum EVs in attack are to make Dwebble as big of a threat as possible while it is alive.
  • Sturdy allows you to live one hit guaranteed, giving you an extra turn to set hazards.
  • Berry Juice heals you to full health, giving Sturdy another chance to activate.
  • Rest EVs are not spent in HP to ensure that Berry Juice fully heals you.

Usage Tips
========

  • As the name of this set indicates, Dwebble is supposed to be sent out first in battle.
  • The main objective of this set is to get hazards onto the field and then die.
  • Damaging moves are to be used mostly when this OHKOs an unsuspected opponent or when you know you won't get hit for it; Otherwise stacking hazards is usually more valuable.

Team Options
========

  • Offensive teams benefit most from Dwebble, as they can pressure the opponent into a situation where finding a spot to remove hazards is really hard.
  • Setup sweepers like Shellder or Nasty Plot Vullaby appreciate entry hazards wearing down opponents and breaking their Sturdy Pokémon.
  • Pawniard can punish Defog with Defiant and makes for a good partner.
  • Pumpkaboo is immune to Rapid Spin and has a good matchup against the most prominent user of the move, Drilbur, and makes for a good partner.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

  • Dwebble can choose to run a bug-ttpe STAB move; this doesnt offer any meaningful coverage, however.
  • Dwebble can run Aerial Ace to hit Timburr; this still doesn't KO at +2 and generally isnt worth it.
  • Dwebble can run Counter to catch a bulky physical opponent off guard; however, this move is very passive and can give the opponent a free turn if they choose not to attack.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Timburr**: While Timburr doesn't like getting hit by Knock Off, it can counter all Dwebble sets - It survives any move from Dwebble even at +2 and heals back up after hitting you with Drain Punch, and it removes entry hazards Dwebble may lay down with Defog.

**Multi-hit moves**: Getting hit by multi-hit moves hinders all Dwebble sets, as they can break through Sturdy and drastically lower your defense on Weak Armor sets.

**Corphish**: Corphish has access to Knock Off and Aqua Jet, making it the most efficient Pokémon to KO Dwebble. It also has decent enough bulk to live a Rock Blast.

Amcheck, so feel free to include changes or not

Firstly,change the thread name the Dwebble (QC 0/3), because this might have been mistaken for a pseudo-analysis by QC and ignored
Secondly, the credits should be:
- Written by: [[Kipkluif, 315003]]

Moving onto the analysis:
I dont think Dwebble warrants 3 sets, especially when suicide lead and bulky hazard setter do pretty much the same thing. IMO move suicide lead to other options

Overview
I think Ferroseed is worth a mention as a comparison, being another hazard stacker but with more bulk
On the Knock Off line, "it's" should be"its", check that its right in the rest of the analysis to make GP's lives easier

Set (shell smash)
236 atk evs not hp

Moves
For Stone Edge, I would mention the reduced accuracy of Stone Edge compared to Rock Blast
I'd change the knock off line, maybe refer to it as a coverage move with the utility of removing the foe's item

Set details
For the first line, I would mention a roll that adamant helps with over jolly
For the line about HP evs, say that there are enough remaining EVs to increase HP, but this is avoided so that juice is guaranteed to fully restore its health and reactivate sturdy

Usage tips
Change the line about hazards so that it says to remove hazards rather than avoid switching into them - saying to remove them links nicely to the team options section
I'm not sure if its worth mentioning, but smash Dwebble can be used as a surprise early game breaker since most people expect a dwebble lead to set hazards - leaving a dwebble for the endgame makes the set obvious

Team options
For the pivot line, I think Volt Switch Chinchou should be there instead of P Shot Pancham
When say "deal with X", I'd be more specific i.e. "switch into" or "weaken"
Change the Diglett line to mention that it can either memento or final gambit to help Dwebble sweep
I would be more specific with the line about priority, and say which mons switch into what priority

===========

Set (bulky hazard setter)
Looks fine

Moves
Remove the Solosis mention, its not a relevant mon in the meta
I would mention something that earthquake hits, such as Pawniard/Onix

Set details
Might be worth mentioning the defense investment complements Dwebble's natural defensive bulk
Again, try to find a roll which the extra defense/hp investment helps (e.g. Avoid the 2HKO from x)

Usage tips
"because this limits your switchins severely. " rephrase to "because this severely limits your ability to switch in"
mention that you should use spinblocker eg Frillish and defog deterrents eg pawniard to keep hazards on the field

Team options
Mention Spritzee instead of mareanie/oddish as a way of dealing with timburr
Again, mention spinblockers

============

Other options
Counter should be first since it can remove Dwebble's check (eg mudbray)

Checks and counters
Add Ferroseed (+3 236+ Atk Dwebble Earthquake vs. 84 HP / 108+ Def Eviolite Ferroseed: 11-14 (50 - 63.6%) )
Add onix (+2 236+ Atk Dwebble Earthquake vs. 76 HP / 0 Def Eviolite Onix: 16-20 (76.1 - 95.2%) ), plus there's the sturdy sets. i would replace the multi hit moves line with Onix
Add mudbray (+3 236+ Atk Dwebble Earthquake vs. 116 HP / 36 Def Eviolite Mudbray: 15-18 (60 - 72%) )
This would mean it Timburr, Corphish, Ferroseed, Onix, Mudbray. Onix and Mudbray could be combined to be "Bulky Ground-types" if needed.

Dwebble carves itself a niche as a hazard setter by being the fastest Pokémon in the metagame with access to Stealth Rock and Spikes.
This isn't really it's best feature, so it shouldn't be it's own bullet point.
Dwebble is susceptible to Knock Off, as it heavily decreases the longevity of it's Sturdy sets and it's Weak Armor sets rely on Eviolite for bulk.
WA doesn't mind taking a knock, as it doesn't really mind trading the extra speed for vulnerability.
Dwebble faces competition from Onix, which has the same abilities, can perform the same roles as Dwebble, is faster, and has a better STAB combination.
Dwebble faces more competition from Ferroseed, which does it's job but bulkier. Analyses should also give a reason why you would use this mon over something else, so try to end it with the advantages that Dwebble has over Onix and Ferroseed.
name: Shell Smash sweeper
This should not be the first set, move this down to two. For clarity purposes I'm going to continue checking it on top though.
Knock Off is Dwebble's second strongest physical move with 100% accuracy if the opponent's item is intact
This is really confusing phrasing. Remove the qualifiers and explain why Knock Off is good, because I can replace X-Scissor with Knock Off in this situation and it makes sense.
Try to avoid switching Dwebble into entry hazards at all costs, as this will stop Sturdy from working and rob you from your safe Shell Smash.
This should be usage tip number 1 or 2.
Team Options
========
Too many team options. Remove the one on slow pivots because it's mentioned earlier. Remove the one on Wynaut too, it seems really long-winded for a single mon.
[SET]
name: Bulky hazard setter
I see no value in this set. And after deferring to the rest of the qc team they don't see a need for Dwebble to have 3 sets. Combine this with the next set, and make that set the first set on the analysis.
  • every Pokémon in the metagame bar Solosis.
remove. irrelevant information
Stone Edge is Dwebble's strongest rock-type STAB (except for Rock Wrecker), threatening to OHKO foes like offensive Ponyta and Berry Juice Vullaby.
Gonna defer to someone else as to whether or not Rock Blast is more viable than Stone Edge on this set.
unsuspected opponent or when you know you won't get hit for it
Rephrase. Either scoring an OHKO or the opponent is switching, fearing a potential Shell Smash.
Pumpkaboo is immune to Rapid Spin and has a good matchup against the most prominent user of the move, Drilbur, and makes for a good partner.
Frillish. Not Pumpkaboo.

There is a lot here to unpack, tag me when you make the changes and I'll review it again and give you the QC.

Ah fuck, I completely forget about this. I haven't kept in touch with LC meta, so I think it's better to drop it. Sorry, I should've handled that way better.
