In-depth:

Abomasnow:
Hasty@Leftovers
78 Attack/180 Sp atk/ 252 Speed
Ability: Snow Warning

Moves:
Substitute
Leech Seed
Focus Punch
Blizzard

Standard hail set-up Abomasnow. I gave it a Timid nature to outspeed lead Status inducers and such. I decided to give it 180 evs in sp atk because I figure it'll be harder to set up sub then just blizzard instead. On this team, i plan on abusing Blizzard on Abomasnow, Porygon-z and Walrein.

Dusknoir
Careful Nature@ Leftovers
252 HP/252 Sp def/6 atk

Moves:
Will-o-Wisp
Thunderpunch
Shadow sneak
Pain Split

Again, another standard moveset. Dusknoir covers Abomasnow's as well as Porygon's fighting weakness. It also cripples Physical sweepers with WoW and a flamethrower that would've been used on Abomasnow does nothing to Dusky.

Walrein
Bold Nature@Leftovers
252 HP/80 Def/178 Sp def
Ability: Ice body

Moves:
Protect
Toxic
Substitute
Blizzard

Toxic-stall Wallrein. Ice body works well in conjuction with Toxic and protect to ultimately stall and kill the opponent. I used to carry yawn, but it wasn't doing much. Great late game wall, can easily survive outrage from garchomp (it's uber anyway) and is able to take many hits and finish the opponent off with Blizzard. Probably the centerpiece of the main team.

Gliscor:
Adamant Nature@Leftovers
252 atk/252 Spd/6 Def
Hyper Cutter

Moves:
Swords Dance
Aerial Ace
Earthquake
Ice fang

Unusual Gliscor moveset. Most people expect a wall and then get a powerful Earthquake instead. I use donphan instead of glis. Set up swords dance, then sweep. Gliscor is pretty fast, 317 max speed. It can take a hit or two as well.

Porygon-Z@Choice Scarf
Modest Nature
Download
252 atk, 200 Speed/58 HP

Moves:
Blizzard
T-bolt
Tri Attack
Dark pulse

Standard Pory. Instead of ice beam, using blizzard to abuse the 100% accuracy in hail. My special Sweeper for this team and it's a pure beast.

232.png

Donphan@leftovers
Impish Nature
252 hp/252 def/6 atk
Sturdy

Moves:
Earthquake
Rapid Spin
Stealth Rock
Ice shard

My physical wall, not much to say. Spinner, and SR setup.

Team Overview:
This team is mostly stall based thanks to Walrein and his toxic. Gliscor and Porygon are there when the other team is tired out and poisoned. Abomasnow also helps to stall with his leech seed. Overall i made a stall team because of the hail. Thanks for reading and tell me what you think.

Stalrein isn't utilized to its full potential unless it has substitute. With it, you can first use Toxic on your opponent, and then switch off with protect and substitute while your oppopnent slowly dies. I would definetly put it in there over Blizzard or Surf, preferably Blizzard, so that surf can wear down Tyranitar, which can pose a huge threat to this team. Also, consider making Stalrein a defensive wall with 252 Def/252 HP/6 SpDef and Bold Nature, because you don't have a pure defensive wall other than Donphan, who isn't really the best one. On Gliscor, I strongly strongly recommend roost over ice fang, or you wont be able to recover damage while setting up. Also, just because you have hail, doesn't mean every single pokemon on your team has to have an ice attack. It really isn't necessary at all, or very helpful. I don't want to change your team around, but imo, one of the most effective pokemon for hail teams is Mamoswine, and I would definetly suggest considering him for a spot. Just some options you could try out

Having both Gliscor and Donphan seem redundant to me as they add a physical wall with high attack to your team, both with quite a nasty weakness ice. I would replace Donphan with Tentacruel, whom sets up and absorbs Toxic Spikes (you could replace Toxic on Walrein for Surf this way), and also Rapid Spins. With the exception of Psychic, Tentacruel and Gliscor take each other's weaknesses quite well too.

I would also put Bronzong or Cresselia on here to counter your dragon weakness. Weavile or Mamoswine can be considered too (Ice Shard). Over all, a Dragon or Dark resist would be quite nice on this team, as not even Dusknoir can fully handle a DD Salamence too well.

Your team would really benefit from a Wisher, considering Donphan, Abomasnow, Walrien and Abomasnow are all bulky but lack a _reliable_ way of recovering.

I'd make Gliscor the standard set with Stealth Rock and replace Donphan with a Bold Wish Vaporeon. I would've said Jirachi, but you've no fire resists as is and Jirachi'd make it worse. It'll also get rid of your massive Gyara weak. hmm... then you lack a spinner. Perhaps you could replace Gliscor. Your call.

Switch Aboma's nature to Hasty and use max Sp. Attack, it's much more effective than Timid with Attack EVs.

Yeah everything else lacks reliable healing, which is hampered by Hail.

I can't help but think you're a bit Gyara weak. You can't do much if it get's a DD or two.

i've battled many gyaras...i usually scare em off with Porygon. it can still t-bolt gyarados after a Ddance. And only three pokemon carry blizzard, again it's boosted by Hail, it's 100% and it hits a lot of pokemon for neutral or super effective...

Gliscor wants Roost > Aerial Ace. Stone Edge is better than Ice Fang on Gliscor IMO because it nails Gyarados. Donphan and Gliscor are too similar for my liking, Gliscor can still act as a physical wall (but he needs a jolly nature and enough speed to outrun lucario). replace donphan with vaporeon or tentacruel. I prefer Surf on Stallrein for PP and Tyranitar issues but thats just personal preference.

I would replace Donphan with a Tentacruel. Then you could make your Gliscor a bit faster or bulkier using the standard wall set or a Speedy Tank set in the analysis. Personally, I use a Max Speed Jolly Gliscor to outspeed all Lucario and the surprise KO really helps as Lucario is a tough Pokemon to get around.

Tentacruel is great because it can help with countering Scizor, who could easily wreak some havoc on this team.

For Walrein, I suggest Surf > Blizzard due to PP reasons. If you are going to stall, you're gonna need more than 8 PP; especially against things with Pressure.

I'm working on my own hail team at the moment. I see that you've made a SubSeed set for Abomasnow and in that case, I suggest a more defensive set. Maybe 252 HP / 140 SpDef and maybe the rest dumb them in attack, defense, and speed because it definitely needs to outspeed Blissey in order to setup his substitute and not taking a Thunderwave or Toxic. With the HP set and HP, Abomasnow won't be afraid to switch into Ice Beam. Abomasnow can setup on Starmie which can assure a switch while you begin your sub seed. It also stops non-HP Fire Magnezones and other special attacks that will roughly have a tough time breaking Abomasnows Substitute.

By the way, Sassy nature is best choice because you need Attack and Special Attack but allow Abomasnow to outspeed Blissey, but slower than T-tar because you need that hail advantage.

Well this is so close to the top anyway I'll just make my own post...

7. Bumping. If your team is interesting enough to comment on, people will do it for you. If no one at all comments on your RMT for around 24 hours, feel free to bump it. After you have bumped your thread once, or after it has been inactive for two weeks, do not bump it again unless you are making significant changes. "Stealth Bumps" will not be tolerated. Moderators and Administrators can see your deleted posts, so do yourself and us a favor and don't even attempt this.

If your thread is locked/deleted, do not re-post it until you have corrected entirely what caused a moderator/administrator to lock/delete it in the first place.

I changed this rule for a reason.

Hasn't been edited since September? I don't think so.
