SS OU #1 Ou Ladder Team

Hello guys, got to #1 on Ou ladder with this team (username: ez2beatu). Here is the team:

036.png

Clefable @ Leftovers
Ability: Unaware
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Calm Mind
- Moonblast
- Heal Bell
- Soft-Boiled
Clefable unaware max spd def takes care of quiver dance volcarona, any variant of dragapult, calm mind tapu, etc.. Heal bell gets rid of mons that come in to try to status the clefable to deal with it/ also a great overall cleric. Cm is used to set up on specially offensive mons which feel they can stay on clefable to weaken it down until they are forced to switch out (timing the moonblast/boiled is important here).

quagsire.jpg
Quagsire @ Leftovers
Ability: Unaware
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Relaxed Nature
- Toxic
- Scald
- Earthquake
- Recover

Quag takes care of sd garchomp, bisharp, weavile, etc. Pretty much full coverage for all setters paired with clefable besides things like sd kartana and rillabroom. This is why it is extremely important to keep your skarmory in good health if any of those two mons happen to appear on their team. Toxic/ Scald/ Eq provides good coverage across the board- toxic especially important in order to hit offensive setters who try to stay in to attack.

748Toxapex.png
Toxapex @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Relaxed Nature
- Scald
- Toxic Spikes
- Knock Off
- Recover

Toxapex can stay in on pretty much anything (survive one hit at least), toxic spikes is super important in order to deal with the future sight/ attacker synch. It forces a pivot to a non-attacker. Knock off is really good to get rid of heavy duty boots, vests, or lefties recovery for mons that rely on it like lando or heatran. Great counter for urshifu/ barraskewda, etc. as well. Recover is essential so you do not have to rely on regenerator in order to heal. I have honestly been back and forth on replacing this with tangrowth to provide for further heavy grass coverage, but leading with toxapex (most of the time) is really good with knock off.

227.png
Skarmory @ Shed Shell
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Defog
- Body Press
- Roost

Skarm is self-explanatory, however be careful as it is your only defense to super aggressive grass moves. It is essential to not let this thing become crippled if they have rillabroom or kartana on there team. Great switch in for lando. Sr and defog on the same mons makes it very convenient in order to have both uses on the same mon. Body Press in order to hit kartana/bisharp/weavile, etc. when needed. Also, great to get rid of some roosts on a corviknight if facing a stall team (as they roost first, then it becomes SE). Skarm/Quag is important for trying to get rid of dark types on their team in order to allow mew to sweep. If Quag can status a dark pokemon with toxic (do not worry if you do not kill it) or skarm kills it with bp, mew can begin setting up cm to sweep.

423.png
Gastrodon @ Leftovers
Ability: Sticky Hold
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Scald
- Earth Power
- Toxic
- Recover

Gastrodon sticky hold is really good for pivoting into knock off mons and dealing with trick, also keeping lefties for gastrodon is imperative. Great counter for regi, heatran, tapu koko, magenzone, etc. Similar moveset as Quag provides the best coverage. Great switch in to galar if they going to try to set up future sight with an attacker because if they decide to pivot you can hit them with toxic, plus Gastrodon can take future sight quite well.

250px-151Mew.png
Mew @ Leftovers
Ability: Synchronize
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 230 SpD / 22 Spe
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Taunt
- Cosmic Power
- Stored Power
- Roost

Mew is without a doubt the most amazing pokemon I have ever created; once you get rid of a team's dark type pokemon, this thing really just wins. Taunt deals with almost all mons that would status/ haze and after one set up mew can tank the majority of hits. Almost max spd def evs is best because of shadow ball, after one cosmic good luck killing it (22 evs to outspeed non-invested garchomp and other mons). Mew can set up on kyreum, magnezone, ferra, heatran, toxa, corviknight, galar, other stall teams, etc.

Hi, welcome to Smogon! I am locking your RMT for the time being as the forum rules require that you provide at least three lines of descriptions for each Pokemon to explain their roles. Please read the rules carefully and look at Team Showcase to see the detail we require. PM me with updated descriptions, and I will be happy to unlock this.

Why did you choose this mon
What do the EV spreads do and why do you have it
What are all 4 moves for

I like the double unaware core a lot. It sets this apart from other stall teams. Also props for the double win con core also.

You lose to the standard anti-stall mons (Crawdaunt, NP Genies, LeLe with CM, Togekiss) luckily they are all rare to non existent.

Watch out for Grass spam + Magnezone. Kartana really slices you up.
