Maybe my reads are just off this game but I think former is town I don't think we should vote him today. Pretty clear he had confidence in his gambit and that it caught something it didn't, the cop was obviously fake. Anything about Alakazam and flavor seems completely pointless. I don't think he would randomly pull 5 townreads out of a hat as scum although he hasn't shown his thinking progression in the thread (the obvious conclusion is that he did it in his head) which is why I'm assuming he's getting heat. Plus the only game I've played with him he's acted similarly and flipped town.

Yeah this is pretty much it. I'm really good at reading tones and getting into people's heads, unfortunately that style of play is really hard to verbalize and explain because a lot of it is based on feelings more than concrete statements.

As an experienced player, I'm also really good at keeping my head on a swivel, especially D1. In pretty much all my town games I rarely lock into a read unless I'm 99% sure. Unfortunately, a lot of newer players don't understand the importance of that and tend to scumread it, instead of actually thinking that through more.

So I did this. I guess it matches up with Former's meta description and I didn't realise first time around how heavily Tommy was tunneling into Former tbh? But I can also see why he would do it because like. I have read Former's posts and can see why people scumread him for shit he's doing.

I'm stuck on the fence here, because honestly he has a reason (afterwards) for everything he's doing but it's like... hard to trust still because of lack of transparency? Like I'm not sure if scum Former here doubles down and keeps gambitting after he draws pressure but if it's 3 scum I can definitely see it being a play he'd be willing to make, but maybe less with 2 scum and that makes it a mess? It's too confusing.

This is actually the single biggest difference between my mafia/town playstyles. When I'm mafia I'm pretty decent at BSing a read and a reason for it. But as town I have trouble explaining my reads so I can't do so as well.

Where do you stand on Tommy rn?

I was fine voting shub earlier but voting him now feels weak since he hasn't posted in forever? But I guess saying this is just reason for scum!shub to not post until the day phase ends? I don't know anymore.
