I've seen your town game before, both times pretty up close. I've never seen your scum game, but after you made these posts you already exuded a level of innocence and a lack of self consciousness that I would associate with scum that as a preliminary read I felt pretty good about putting you in the strong category. I get that it can be a little demeaning to be titled obvious town, and I've been there, but honestly until you bamboozle me in a game I'm going to feel pretty comfortable giving a high confidence read on you very early on. If you do happen to be scum right now, hats off to you, and I guess I won't underestimate you in future games.

If you look at the sum total content than Energy has put into the game so far, there really isn't anything aside from a relatively decent start of d1 (accusing DS of having slipped). I honestly kind of forgot that he was in the game at all until he hopped in to vote moody which is an ok vote I guess? Except it kinda just seems like Energy entered the thread as a reaction to being placed in apricity's POE, and instead of--as you are pressing me to do--defending himself or his read, he places a vote on Moody and leaves.

I really don't think you have any basis in saying that I'm afraid of posting, or defending my reads. I'm one of the main people driving discussion in the thread, I just think that having to go through my own ISO and defend myself as town is silly.

Sorry for lynching Clarinet, I just thought the odds of him being scum was higher than jalmont because I don't trust m2h and hannah.

Right now I'm really torn between whether I should just slink away and join my town reads' wagons or if I should just push even harder against my scum reads because I had no traction against my scum reads last time.

Really still kinda wtf'd on Hannah with everything and anything she says about me, despite almost everyone else very much disagreeing with her. She's the person who seems to have been agenda pushing the most this game.

If I were agenda pushing I would push to lynch you. I, however, kinda learned from last game where I pushed the guy I was convinced was scum and he flipped town, so I'm giving people time to actually show if they're town causegod my reads are dreadful.

Maybe I'm completely misreading this but my honest vibe is that a lot of the 451 gang actually uhhh don't like DS. After a game where m2h modkilled DS, DS quit 451. There's a bit more nuance than that, but I wouldn't necessarily buy any argument that m2h would kill DS for a name kill. Hannah might though. Didn't get to see Dusk and DS interact enough to know how they feel about each other.

I really think he's town this game. Today? I like tbz's entrance, I know he was busy w EiMM all of last phase so he gets a free pass from me. I dunno where Fenrir is so that's fine, and I think M2H is town. If I had to pick townies right now as of this post, I think me you Tommy M2H are town. I'm SO confused on Doggo and Texas right now though.

oddly enough I feel like this is not actually so bad a position. It would have been better if clarinet claimed. But there have been enough interactions to weasel out more reads/movement in this block if we flip one bad guy

My kneejerk reaction to seeing the first moody vote was "wow, a vote I could get behind. wish energy said more reasoning, but moody's posts don't look towny in their amount and the only reason people seemed to give moody any credit at all was for temporarily wanting to lynch me on day 1 and people bowing down to him because of that."

worst post in the history of my mafia playing imo. if you can't defend the reason why you've done what you've done, why are you playing mafia in the first place? if you're just passively sitting there for a knight on a white horse to defend you for you instead of taking something into your own hands, why are you playing mafia? Even clarinet at least offered some form of self-defense, even if it wasn't very good, and jalmont's offered a ton of self defense.

The parenthetical aside seems kinda sketchy. I also only started acting scummy a bit after the gladiate because at that point I literally couldn't be lynched. In one breath you say you don't remember much of our main game together, but in many other breaths you accuse me of pocketing you that game and being able to recount or otherwise allude to major aspects of that game... It seems a bit wishy washy. Decide if that game matters to your read on me or not.

Overall your dismissal of anything I do is getting old really fast, and I could have not posted anything before you showed up and 100% you'd still be ragging on me for something else.

I know for a fact that if someone who I townread and who's opinion I cared about asked me to defend myself or prove why I was town, I could easily write up 500+ words within a few minutes without once needing to say that "well I'm town because the host gave me a green role PM." It's not that hard, and I get that sometimes some directing questions might be helpful but I know I could do it on the spot, and I personally 100% value the content of a response if it's on the spot without overly direction questions. When the questions get too narrow, it just lets scum know what you're looking for in an answer and a towny should have a broad sense of why they are town from every part of the game, not a narrow sense that only forms from replies to narrow questions.

Also m2h has been getting shade throughout the whole thread, I don't think saying "your specific question means he has NO POSSIBLE IDEA of what to defend against" makes any sense. All of the suspicion against jalmont was way more vapory and ethereal than the things said against m2h up to the point of my question, so I think jalmont's responses make more sense and he still was able to write a lot of reasoning before questions aimed at him became razor focused like what m2h needed. Like come on, the points against jalmont were basically that he was acting like jalmont, the points against m2h were never that circular.

Yeah I was super lazy day 1 and missed like 250/400 messages, and I only read back thru it when I was isoing people. I did skim it tho, I just didn't really go back and read it. My bad?? I don't think THAT'S what lost us the game.
