Due to Galarian Darmanitan having Gorilla Tactics, Choice Band heavily complements it and makes it one of the most threatening powerhouses in the 1v1 metagame. Icicle Crash lets Galarian Darmanitan take down slow threats like Mandibuzz and Kommo-o. Flare Blitz and Superpower allow Galarian Darmanitan to take down some of the metagame's bulkiest Pokemon, like Corviknight and Aegislash, as well as Tyranitar and non-Chople Berry variants of Incineroar and Snorlax. Giga Impact hits harder than Icicle Crash and can be used against non-Chilan Berry Primarina, Sylveon, and Choice Band Dracovish. Sadly, almost any Pokemon that can outpace Galarian Darmanitan can easily KO it due to its middling bulk. Sturdy Pokemon will also threaten Galarian Darmanitan. This leaves it up to teammates to cover the likes of Choice Scarf Galarian Darmanitan, Dracovish, Crustle, and Sawk, so naturally bulky teammates like Galarian Corsola and stall Rotom-W make good partners.

Giga Impact rounds the moveset out with it being neutral though very powerful against hitting miscellaneous neutrally effective threats harder than Icicle Crash like non-Chilan Berry Primarina, Sylveon, and Choice Band Dracovish. Sadly, almost any Pokemon that can outpace Galarian Darmanitan can easily KO it due to its middling bulk. Sturdy Pokemon will also threaten Galarian Darmanitan, as they cannot normally be OHKOed. This leaves teammates having to cover the likes of Crustle, Sawk, Avalugg, Zeraora, and Choice Scarf Galarian Darmanitan and Dracovish, and Zeraora, so naturally bulky teammates like Galarian Corsola, Chilan Berry Primarina, and stall Rotom-W Haban Berry Kommo-o rwash beats more. make good partners.
