Admin Thread | Spreadsheet | Replays and Usages

Week 5​

  • Follow all rules listed here.
  • Schedule via Smogon VMs. It's easier for me to make decisions for activity calls when I can actually see what went down with scheduling.
  • If you are unable to schedule with your opponent, please let your managers know ASAP so they can communicate that to me or the other team's managers for a potential substitute.
  • Substitutions may be made after a week has started. When making a substitution, please tag myself, the managers of the opposing team, and all of the players affected by the substitute to ensure that everyone is made aware. Players who have already played in the week or were subbed out in the same week cannot be subbed back in.
  • If a match remains incomplete by the time of the deadline, it will be subject to an activity call.
  • Players are eligible to call act if mid series after challenging their opponent does not accept within 7 minutes.
  • Replays are mandatory. Not only are they useful for confirming wins, they contribute to usage stats and allow the people who couldn't watch the games live to watch them later.

10-11 last week. hooooooly unviability. that being said, i did predict a heatrans tie #numberoneheatransfan. i said horrors were out mentally but not mathematically, but they got a p clutch win last week so lets see if they can use this momentum to catapult themselves back into playoffs contention as they face yet another middle of the standings team this week. fun fact actually, the top 4 seeds all face a bottom 4 seed this week, so this could be a big week for every single team involved. LOCK IN ! also the panchams were about to recuperate some much needed momentum but bangladesh is in political unrest rn so lumii ended getting an activity win. hope kaif is aight /gen
okay onto this week where as i said every series matters A Lot

Hellfire Heatrans 4-4 RPS Rhyperiors
SV Bo7: RTM vs Lumii - the ceo of activity wins finds themselves facing RTM who, despite being a very likable figure, finds himself constantly being lambasted in my predictions for not picking up the amount of wins a manager should. despite this, the heatrans have propelled themselves into the 5th seed under his leadership so i can't help but respect the grind. do think lumii forma de care is better tho
SV: Akuu vs Murm - so like, last week i made fun of murman for moving from sv2 to 3 and commended kala for moving from 3 to 2, both due to their respective records. however they both lost, so murmastermind made the murmagnificent call to slot himself back into sv2. similar to rtm i do like murm a lot and would love to see him succeed but his gameplay so far has been less than inspiring
SV: Indi01 vs Kala chasmah - went out on a limb to bold kala last week only to find out that he's said some things I don't agree with. fucking l2p. meanwhile i said i was about to give up on building indi if they didn't win last week but then they did win so i will continue being #fanoftheindi0127.
SS Bo7: stravench vs Here Comes Team Charm! - charm is so cool and my bias bold kinda cursed them last week i fear. that being said i do think they outclass stravench (who btw has been p impressive this tour but as said before probably not ss7 level just on a team with no good ss7) bc of their solid teambuilding and deep experience w the gen. my pick for a sleeper series that will be quite good despite most people probably not buying into it as much
SS: Nick vs Clementine - nick finally picked up a win last week so i'm all aboard the hype train right now. 0-3 to 4-3 incoming? choo choo !! clementine got subbed out for frag last week which i thought was an upgrade for the rhyperiors but then frag lost too so were back to clementine now. i would suggest the rhyperiors managers try yet another sub but with kala chasmah becoming the new CEO of homophobia they might run out of subs very soon
SM: Sanshokuinsumireko vs Elo Bandit - last week i bolded sansho vs a much stronger opponent on grounds of him seeming very strong in this sm pool. he's rellia's only loss so far and is as such contending for best sm record post his missed week which im unsure why that happened my sources say Frito was begging in dms to please get some playtime as she just cares so much abt this tour. elo bandit is a solid clicker but is addicted to loading garbage. should be a fun watch
ORAS: Mubs vs Synonimous - my streak of succesfully betting on mubs ended last week whereas my streak of succesfully betting on ea continued. i'm quite high on both of these guys and expect this to be a rather okay series (despite my constant dislike of oras 1v1 i rly do feel like the pool in this tour is very above average)
BW: Portrait or Ruin vs dreepy - did PA get overran by real life? not quite sure why he's not in anymore while imo he's still rather competent on the bw battlefield. not quite sure who portrait or ruin is but i bolded against eepy :c airlines ;c last week and got blown up for it. 7-0 season incoming from doctor eepy.

overall: #1HEATRANSFAN4LYF predicts another heatrans tie water is wet grass is green. despite both of these teams having generational NPC populations i think there's quite a few fun matchups here that i'm excited to watch, with the highlight being stravench charm. sadly kala chasmah is milan levels of bigoted without providing milan level skill so rps seem like a sinking ship ATM hope they recover tho

SV Bo7: bo_bobson27 vs Blanched - i promised last week i was done bolding against giboney. 3-1 with the one loss being the greatest player of all time by a lot (A LOT) is obviously great, and boseph feels on top of the meta. blanched has proven themselves a very potent clicked in many past tournaments and has clearly not missed a beat during their BANNED DEUCER era but i do think giboney will be a step ahead of them in prep here. looking forward to this series
SV: happysh vs DripLegend - driplegend won the world cup of pokemon for his team.massive aura boost. congrats :D
SV: lost heros vs Miyoko - mathematically speaking the loss heros streak has to end somewhere right? + i still don't really know who miyoko is nor do i really buy into the hype. is drip building for them? r they self sufficient? r they the neglected middle child in radu's campaign to carry both bw and oras? either way this series will not be watched
SS Bo7: lolebruh vs Mishlef - lolebruh subbed out last week so he's at a grand total of 2 games in 4 weeks. unsure what's going on. i think mishlef is p good i didn't watch his series last week but i did get hit with an 'how bad is max @here' so i assume it was bad. 60-40 of this game happening without a sub but would favour lolebruh here somewhat i guess
SS: Liimpy vs xdRudi.exe - doubling down here-bolded rudi and bolded against liimpy last week and was wrong on both account. don't think i have much more to say than i did last week; trusting rudi as a solid clicker with good support
SM: Felucia vs Waylaid - i finally bolded against mez last week and she finally won and then she somehow said like radu keep bolding against me so i guess ill die.. waylaid is good so ill bold him. soft hl. still quite unsure what waylaid is doing wrt the tier hopping as he has quietly racked up a 1-3 record but it was versus a very strong pool of players so i still believe in him
ORAS: SEROO vs Irene - turbo hl. 5-1 combined record between these 2. i'm not exactly sure what's going on in oras (apparently darkrai is unbanned now) nor do i care but clearly both of them are doing something right. both of them have defeated quite competent opponents so far as well, so i do think their success so far is more than a bit of a fluke. bolding irene here for no other reason than the fact that i bolded against her last week. cointoss mu in my head
BW: AlyssaVGC vs LpZ - kittyvgc ended her 3 week loss streak to finally get in the win column but lpz continued his win streak to get to get his record to the opposite of his adversary's. trusting radu support for as long as the bubble isn't popping.

overall: the horrors once again find themselves on elimination week, as they will for the rest of the tour i guess. i definitely think they can grab a point or even two in this matchup if they proper lock in vs the thwackeys who have been struggling some, but it once again all loops back to their managers really needing to put up or shut up. rooting for mez and lost heros to clutch yet another week from the jaws of defeat.

SV: Marshme1to vs bea - bea got me infracted last week and she also dm'd me that she couldn't believe that i predicted her to win. naturally she won as i predicted am i the fucking goat lol. nothing more to say i was begging in vc last night that game 5 giddey dont lose to marshmelto and then we didnt so it's up
SS Bo7: luser vs Close - close finally got it together and seems somewhat unstoppable now. meanwhile eric luser chungus of barraskewdas discord fame is the only SS player to not drop a set so far, so he has looked on top of his game so far too. highlight of the week to me as a noob SS main :3c
SS: glitched vs feen - feen apparently lives in canada so seems to dodge the bangladeshi power outage which im glad to hear as i like his non mainer attempt at conquering the tier. despite having a worse record here i'm gonna build glitch one more time as i do have a lot of faith in her despite the fucking menhera chan profile picture indicating anything but trustworthy.
SM: Iron Crusher vs Freddy Kyogre - 2017 matchup. best game of the week or worst game of the week no inbetween. aicy has gotten p unlucky so far this season but has looked sharp and has always been one of the coolest player this gen has to offer so i root for their fortune to turn around and have them pick up some much deserved wins.
ORAS: torterraxx vs LittEleven - torterra won their last two matchups but the season defining match was played in week 2. can not possibly bold this player. that being said litteleven has looked less than inspiring all season long so i'll do it anyway. crying baby vs coughing baby unsure who's who or what option is even better there
BW: Palestine vs QWILY - فلسطين حرة

overall: panchams success was directly tied to kaif support from the start and then a calamitous world event happened to his country; assuming the internet comes back here i actually quite like the panchams this week as i feel they match up quite favorably versus the megarays.

SS Bo7: stravench vs Here Comes Team Charm! - stravench is more in touch with 2024 ss, but hctc is loading ancient looking teams and still finding success. in a vacuum charm wins comfortably, but i believe in stravench to cteam aggressively and take advantage of charm's distinct building style.
SS: Nick vs Clementine - after 4 weeks of rotating through ss2 players with 0 wins rps are trying their hand with clementine again. I don't know whats going on behind the scenes in rpscord but don't think anyone on that team is active enough in ss to do real tour prep and build around usage. Nick's raw skill and experience should carry him through this matchup.

SS Bo7: lolebruh vs Mishlef - don't really know how well lolebruh's doing bc they keep random subbing out last second. i remember lolebruh's building being pretty exploitable during ogpl and mishlef is a terminally online cteamer so i think he got it. hopefully both players show up to the game this time!
SS: Liimpy vs xdRudi.exe - they seem to have picked up ss pretty quickly and are backed by mishlef's solid building, while i haven't been super impressed by the horrors ss teams. not a super exciting series and i could see it going either way but leaning towards the thwackeys

SS Bo7: crow crumbs vs zo - HL MU!!! while both players are 3-1 right now, i think zo's wins have been a little less impressive than bird's. i could see either player winning but learning slightly towards bird. both are pretty respectable players with pretty unique quirks in building and clicking. i feel that ssbo7 is a little too saturated with serial reusers so two people actively innovating is refreshing.
SS: Aliss vs Eeveekid10 - Free bomb21xd!! without the bomb cheese factor eeveekid is just decent at ss while aliss is one of the strongest in the pool. aliss doesn't seem like the type to choke favorable series like this.

as expected at this point the skewdas:arrokuda:, rps:golem-alola::kartana::scizor:and jadburgs :rayquaza-mega: are simply coasting to playoffs. the regular season jadburgs are actually such a fucking menace, only exception i can think of was euphonos heroically cutting the lead from 0-7 to 1-7 in the last week last year. the thwackeys:grookey:continue to be the 4th seed by default. muthafuckas tied the heatrans :air balloon: and it doesnt even matter LMAO. the standings are actually really close... at the bottom. if civil unrest did not happen in bangladesh (this is real btw not a joke kaif's literally been afk for like a week cuz no internet in bangladesh) and avarice didn't avarice it up, the panchams:pancham:had a solid chance to upset the rhyperiors. the pults:drakloak:lost to the previously 0 point horrors. i think delemon may have been a slight overpay...? either that or nathan. anyways wp on the thwackeys for doing the bare minimum i don't see the top 4 changing unless the panchams farm points from 3 teams above them that are besides the pults noticably better. they're really the only team i think that can actually compete for the 4 seed (lol), i'm out on the pults after this week unfortunately. lonzo best record hype!

process of elimination says that sooner than later linux user will lose. sorry! it's just true. jadsteen, alice, and dreepy (ish) i can all feasibly see somehow not losing, at least in the regular season. owen the genius only losing 1 ss game between him and alice is pretty funny, i thought that when the gen was over nobody would like or have any investment in ss but even tho custap regidrago and sacred fire are all somehow still legal the players seem to not hate it so that's pretty cool. load a rindo berry terrakion or a silvally tho. sanshokuinsumireko for some reason didn't start but has been pretty solid in sm. i mean why wouldn't he, after he escaped sv jail last year he's been someone i trust in sm and oras (gens where u can recycle standard mons/cores/teams and mostly go unpunished because of how good they are) (Ban dnite Lol). dreepy i think will lose at the end of the regular season, i just feel it in my bones. last year the group was very predictable (delemon/leru) with a random Lumi. Aliss got this.
