Minor notes regarding the VR:
  • The nomination list will be added to the bottom of the VR so that everyone can see what has and hasn't already been nommed, in addition to what rank the mon has been nommed for, as well as who nommed it.
  • The nomination deadline for next cycle shall be added above the VR, above the nomination list, as well as pinned to the VR discussion channel in the discord, so that way everyone can see and understand both when the next cycle ends, and by proxy, how long they have to submit nominations before having to wait another two months.
  • Regarding Pokemon nominations themselves, a nomination doesn't have to be incredibly thorough or eloquently worded, it simply helps to have these elements with them to reinforce your case, particularly for the lower ranked and Untested Pokemon, as they have little foundation or exposure to help them stand out on their own. Thorough enough evidence and reasoning may even help to get a Pokemon that has yet to be ranked to forego Untested Rank and skip right into the main ranks.
  • Regarding Untested Rank, it has been agreed by majority VR Council vote that nomination cycles for Untested Rank Pokemon will be voted on monthly, instead of bimonthly (every other month), in the interest of trying to keep the population of Untested down to a minimum.
Second, we've implemented the Sets VR into our resources! You can now begin nominating individual sets to be ranked for the Sets VR, as well as Pokemon for the main VR.

Notes regarding the Sets VR:
  • Similar to the main VR, the Sets VR is also on a 2 month nomination cycle, and shall also have its nomination list presented beneath it, as well as its nomination deadline being shown and made clear.
  • When making nominations for the Sets VR, please keep in mind that a set's rank should never surpass the main VR ranking of its user. Conversely, not all sets of a Pokemon will be as viable as the user's rank (see: Choice Scarf Tapu Lele).
  • The Sets VR will not have an Untested Rank, so please be sure to be thorough when nominating new sets that currently aren't on the Sets VR, or else they may not end up getting ranked!

Lastly, the VR Council is now in control of determining what can and cannot become a sample team! Submit sample teams here for us to analyze them and make a judgment call!

Osra Bulky Offense
Tapu Lele @ Psychium Z
Ability: Psychic Surge
EVs: 252 HP / 60 Def / 196 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Psychic
- Calm Mind
- Reflect
- Moonblast

Charizard @ Charizardite X
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 252 HP / 160 SpD / 96 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Will-O-Wisp
- Flame Charge
- Flare Blitz
- Outrage

Pheromosa @ Fightinium Z
Ability: Beast Boost
EVs: 160 Def / 188 SpA / 160 Spe
Modest Nature
- Bug Buzz
- Ice Beam
- Focus Blast
- Lunge

Tapu Lele and Charizard act as the main core of the team, covering a majority of the metagame between just the two of them, while Pheromosa handles a good number of Pokemon that would otherwise counter the main core. Only downside is that you end up having to make a lot of guesses at team preview.
  • Tapu Lele covers: Charizard-X/Y, Dragonite, Gyarados, Porygon-Z, Zygarde, Greninja, Altaria, Donphan, Kommo-o, Primarina, Tapu Fini, Venusaur, and more
  • Charizard-X covers: Charizard-Y, Dragonite, Magearna, Metagross, Greninja, Jumpluff, Lopunny, Magnezone, Meloetta, Mew, Aegislash, Gardevoir, Genesect, Kommo-o, Naganadel, and more
  • Pheromosa covers: Porygon-Z, Slowbro, Zygarde, Greninja, Jumpluff, Landorus, Donphan, Naganadel, Tyranitar, and more.
Tapu Lele's spread is built to withstand a Charizard-Y's Blast Burn, while at the same time giving it as high of a chance at living a Charizard-X Flare Blitz as possible (just under 20% KO chance vs 252 atk). Its move composition is focused on its high power STAB moves, as well as setting up with the moves Calm Mind and Reflect, thus allowing it to handle just about anything that doesn't outspeed and nuke or hit super effectively.
Charizard-X's spread is tailored to outspeed even max speed Dragonite, so that way it can cut Dragonite's Atk with Wisp before Mega evolving and finish it off with Mega Outrage on the next turn. The spread also withstands a Greninja Specs Hydro Cannon, in addition to Lopunny-Mega's combination of Fake Out and Giga Impact. The moveset is pretty straightforward with Flare Blitz and Outrage acting as its main STABs, as well as Wisp being a useful utility for physical attackers. Flame Charge, however, is a bit more of a niche move, being mostly for the sake of breaking Jumpluff's Substitute and outspeeding on the next turn to avoid autolosing to it, though it also helps for SubFlail Lopunny and Pinsir, and a few other matchups. You can realistically replace Flame Charge with other options like Dragon/Sword Dance, Belly Drum, Counter, etc, and still be fine, I just find that Flame Charge has the broadest niche of all its potential filler moves.
Pheromosa is the main Pokemon that saves the core from being broken down as easily, particularly against Slowbro, Landorus-Therian, Porygon-Z, Greninja, Tyranitar-Mega, Aggron-Mega, and Garchomp. The Spa is to make sure it 2HKOs Slowbro with Bug Buzz no matter what (with Modest over Rash, because a Scald could OHKO you otherwise), the Speed is to just barely outspeed Greninja, and the Defense is to withstand a hit from Aggron (among other Pokemon) after Lunge, so that it can follow up with the Z-Focus Blast to KO.
Regarding Sample Teams:
  • Descriptions are mandatory. This is not meant to be a team dump, we're looking for strictly the best, most well-rounded teams that can be used to at least moderate success by just about anyone. If you aren't willing to tell us what the team does, then we more than likely won't even consider it for a sample team. This includes explaining EV spreads, move selection, what can be swapped around, metagame coverage, etc.
  • Please only make one submission at a time (don't make multiple posts, either). You will be contacted and informed either why your submission didn't make it in, or that you did in fact make it in. Once contacted, you may make another submission for the VR Council to vote on (though you probably won't get another one in if you've already gotten one in).
  • Sample team submissions will be voted on and picked apart by the VR Council as soon as the submissions are posted, no waiting for cycles!

Second, we've implemented the Sets VR into our resources! You can now begin nominating individual sets to be ranked for the Sets VR, as well as Pokemon for the main VR.

The sets VR thing looks pretty cool, but how about combining the set compendium and the sets VR: like have a pokepaste link on the description of each set, here’s a sample Pokemon

Flyinium Z, S
Dragonium Z, A+
Choice Band, A

Probably make it Pokepaste but it doesn’t work for me :(.

The point of the Sets VR is for general sets, most of which aren't only viable with a singular EV spread. Choice Band Dragonite, for example, can very easily switch between fast Band or bulky Band.

Tol

Retirement house
Osra is there any reason to put “bulky offense” or something of that nature in the submission?
If you did that for a 1v1 team it would prolly be something like “Thehehe 3 Totally Disjointed Pokemon” so could we just not do that part?

You don't need to worry about making a title for the team, we'll cover that, no matter how difficult you end up making it for us :psysly:

Nominating Liechi Togedemaru for C-

Togedemaru @ Liechi Berry
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 Atk / 28 Def / 228 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Substitute
- Nuzzle
- Reversal
- Zing Zap

Max Attack Adamant hits as hard as possible. 28 def lets you beat non-Earthquake mega Gyarados:
252+ Atk Mold Breaker Gyarados-Mega Crunch vs. 0 HP / 28 Def Togedemaru: 229-270 (84.5 - 99.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
Great matchups against both Charizard forms (except bulky wisp X). Togedemaru wins matchups vs A ranks Porygon-Z, Tapu Lele, Greninja, and Meloetta, B ranks Genesect, Primarina, Tapu Fini, Tyranitar-M, Aggron-M, Celesteela, Chansey, Crustle, Heatran, Kartana, Archeops, Diancie-M, Manaphy, and many others thanks to +1 200BP Reversal alongside paraflinch.
An amazing ability and great control over status make this pokemon a weapon of mouse destruction in 1v1.

Some Sets VR Nominations:
Greninja LO -> B+ (Not that used or that phenomenal)
Meloetta: Differentiate between Z Celebrate and Laser focus
- Z Celebrate -> A Laser Focus -> A- (slightly worse than z celebrate imo)
Lopunny SubEncore Ur -> B- (strong set)
Mawile PhysDef Ur -> C (Imo should be acknowledged, even if not optimal)
Victini Choice Scarf B- -> C+ (absolutely shouldn’t be above Normalium)
Deoxys-S Sub PP stall C- -> D/Ur (Beats choiced mons with low pp moves ig)
Azumarill Z Charm Ur -> D (worth acknowledging, solid defensive mon that can do well vs Zards, Gyara, and Jumpluff)
Araquanid Normalium Ur -> D (Both Z Stockpile and Z Laser Focus are decent)

Some thoughts on sets VR

1. Some sets should be more specific to EVs (eg. phys/special dnite, phys/special bulk Zard X/sableye) and some should be more specific to the strategy used by the pokemon (eg. Z Move rhyperior uses icium and rockium, Splintered Stormshards Lycanroc uses Snarl, Dragonium Salamence uses Iron Defense)

2. Scarf Togekiss should stay C, as it is an unreliable set that is vastly inferior to its other options.

Walk Tall (Pinsir) @ Pinsirite
Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Bulk Up
- Giga Impact
- Quick Attack

This team is built around the core of Meloetta and Heatran, which can beat most things in 1v1. Meloetta's moveset is the now-popular monoattacking normal set with Laser Focus. This set can beat some Charizards (X), Non-Crunch Gyarados, Jumpluff (uproar), Greninja, and many other things in the tier. Hyper Beam is its most powerful STAB attack and is usually the target of your Z Crystal. Calm Mind boosts both power and survivability and allows you to break walls. Uproar is a move that goes through Substitute and as such has many uses. Laser Focus is to beat out fellow Calm Mind/Amnesia spammers like Magearna and Necrozma as well as Kommo-o. Pinsir's set is less complex. Basic EVs and move list, Giga Impact reaches stupid levels of power with Aerilate, Bulk Up beats Gyarados and Metagross (a combination of staying nonmega and bulk up can cheese some usually unwinnable matchups like Donphan and Sawk), Earthquake beats Metagross and the Magnes, and Quick Attack is a priority STAB that doesn't make you recharge. Heatran is also reasonably standard, Rock Tomb for Charizards, Overheat as (you guessed it) an extremely powerful STAB move, Earth Power for the mirror, and HP Ice for Dragonite and Mega Garchomp.
Some possible move switches are mostly on Heatran, although Psyshock on Meloetta can occasionally be useful. Heatran can use Flash Cannon to beat Gardevoir and Tapu Lele, as well as some Tyranitar sets. It can also use Will-O-Wisp to beat Crustle. Substitute, while it used to be useful on Pinsir, no longer has a use with the banning of the things it beat, namely Snorlax.
The EV spreads may look complicated, but here is an explanation of each.
Pinsir: Just maximizing speed and attack. Not much to see here.
Meloetta: To quote Landon, as it is his set: "204 HP + 252 Def allows Meloetta to tank a Adamant, Lopunny-M Fake Out + Giga Impact. The Meloetta is also capable of tanking on many physical attackers like, max atk, Adamant, Lando-T and Donphan. 52 Spe allows Meloetta to ouspeed 8 Spe Zygarde."
Heatran: Maximum special attack for the most possible power, then 180 speed evs to outspeed Blazikin's Heatran, a popular set. The rest goes into bulk.
Automatic Losses: ya just lose if you see these.
Smart Crustle Players
Some Golem Sets
Some Dragonite

Nominating Choice Band Zeraora for B-/C+

Zeraora @ Choice Band
Ability: Volt Absorb
EVs: 252 Atk / 8 SpD / 248 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Plasma Fists
- Close Combat/Fire Punch
- Outrage
- Iron Tail

Max attack adamant to obviously hit as hard as possible, which is most evident in the kommo-o damage roll, and the 248 speed is for Weavile, although if you don't care about Weavile 224 for Greninja. Alternatively you could go jolly to beat Lopunny and Gengar with 192 speed (TL;DR adamant has significantly better chances to beat Kommo-o and bulky Tapu Lele, while jolly beats Mega Lopunny and Mega Gengar).

Close Combat is for Mega Lopunny, Mega Tyrantar
Fire Punch is for Scarf Genesect, Z Move Ferrothorn, Scizor
edit: Close Combat beats Heatran, fire punch also helps against Whimsicott and Serperior (not makes you instawin but helps), and I didn't include the steel types that overlap between the two, being stuff like non scarf Kartana, Magnezone, non scarf Excadrill, and Lucario. Also fire punch beats Durant.

Band is mainly to help remedy four moveslot syndrome on zeraora; the only real thing you can beat with band that life orb couldn't is maybe bulky Tapu Lele, but the thing is life orb has to run fake out to match the damage. This means that by running fake out, you're not running one of your moves, which means you're losing matchups. I presume you already know the matchups (pretty much the same as life orb). Again, the only difference I can think of is defensive tank Lele because you can't fake it out.

Cons: You're not running fake out so you can lose to studies without protect that you would normally beat with fake out (Golem, Sudowoodo). Obviously you're going all out attacker, I just want to say band just the best for all out (physical) attacker, not the best Zeraora set.

Basically a set with life orb can beat anything band can, but not all at the same time.

Team is built around Furfrou this mon solos like half of the VR and Meloetta and Gyarados murder the other of the VR. Only mons that 3-0 this team are shit D- Mons. So uh meloetta covers Furfrou's weakness of Magearna Lele Zygarde Lopunny Porygon Slowbro Venusaur. Gyara foddierzes the other mons. What else do you need to know, Meloetta + Furfrou beats half of the VR and Gyara beats everything else(The D- Mons there like 5 of them smh.) make this a sample so furfrou can see the sunlight.
Saying Furfrou beats a lot does nothing, you need to show that it beats a lot. You also have some seemingly particular EV spreads, what do they do? Why the specific move selection? We'll still vote on it, sure, but when we're the ones who have to do most of the heavy lifting to figure out what the team does, odds are it will either be very prolonged or denied.

The same goes for your submission TGC United , though yours at least covered more than pazza's. Lacking explanation of Meloetta's and Heatran's EV spreads, though.

Close Combat is for Mega Lopunny, Mega Tyrantar
Fire Punch is for Scarf Genesect, Z Move Ferrothorn
edit: it also helps against Whimsicott
If you're wondering what exactly iron tail is for, it's for Gardevoir, non full tank Lele, Clefable, and Diancie (fairies).
Outrage is only resisted by steel so it hits a lot of things unresisted and obviously kills zard x (yes you have to predict)

A few things about posting possible sample teams:
  • Please don't make the name a shitpost. We need an actual somewhat descriptive name for each team, and whether that name is provided by the submitter or by VR council is completely up to you. Choose wisely.
  • When describing your sets, please describe EVs completely and for each mon. Say if they're for something specific, or if theyre just for straight offense.
  • Try to keep as many /'s out as possible in your posts. Also stray from posting two sets for a singular mon with your nom. Instead of these, just mention the alternative options in your descriptions of the teams.
  • If something counts as a "counter" on your team but lives by rolls, mention the rolls in your descriptions.
  • Please also list any counters (3-0es) to your team in your descriptions. It makes VR council's lives much easier and will speed up the process of voting on your sample team as we no longer have to search as hard for counters.

As from the name of the team, meloetta and magearna are the main mons, they both cover a huge chunk on the meta and work really well side by side.
Meloetta:
Meloetta counters mons that magearna loses to like
Both zards, zygarde, landorus therian, heatran, victini, and others
the hp and defense on melo allows melo to tank a 252 adamant landorus therian groundium z and either z celebrate or z hyper beam, the 16 spd paired with the 248 hp allows meloetta to tank char ys blast burn, and the 16 speed allows melo to outspeed char x and y at plus 1 speed, and the spa is leftover evs.
Magearna:
Magearna counters mons that meloetta tends to lose to like
Dragonite, Mega Gyarados, metagross mega, aegislash, tyranitar mega, sableye, mawile mega, and crustle
The hp and def evs on magearna allow it to tank an adamant incineroar flare blitz and kill back with its strong fairium z, the speed evs allow magearna to outspeed adamant golem and donphan and crustle, and the spa is leftover evs.
Charizard mega x:
This mon helps clean up melo and magearnas weaknesses, some include
Magearna, metagross mega, magnezone, aegislash, genesect, whimsicott volcarona, spa dnite, and more

Overall this team has little to no weak spots at all and covers pretty much the whole meta rn.
Weaknesses:
Mixed shell smash carracosta
Bulldoze golem
Laser focus meloetta

Thanks for the submission James! I have found some more pokemon that seem to be a problem for your team, however; swapping some moves and evs would allow you to beat some of the pokemon that trouble you while still beating everything you have before. Correct me if I'm wrong on any of these matchups. Wrote this at like 2 am xd

List of mons that beat your team based off vr: bulldoze golem or max speed, groundium golem, jumpluff, taunt + mburst + head smash + heavy slam aggron (all of which are top 5 used moves on agg), sub + flail pinsir-m (flail pinsir wins w/ eq . fleur fails does 48% at -2), mixed carro and deoxys-s. those are the more common threats, here are the more rare mons/sets: waterium/sub/workup gren (personally i use this set and a few others do, but not very common and sometimes taunt is ran over workup, which loses to mag), incineroar (the most common spread at 1630 usage is Jolly:120/176/0/0/36/176, which happens to speed tie your melo. so it's 50/50 as u can z celebrate into beam or he ohkos w/ z), soak pyukumuku (has to run a min of 248 hp and 144+ def for zard x. pyu can stall out the fleurs w/ recover, although mag can win sometimes, it would be hard. all around not a very used set at all), tail glow manaphy (w/ max hp and enough speed to outspeed your zard, manaphy would win. again, a set you will prob see very rarely), and stall type: null.

I have a few suggestions for your team that would make you beat some of the threats I mentioned above.
1. I would run at least 220 speed on mag so you reach 221 and outspeed golem, phan, and incineroar. I'd reccoment running Bold 248/0/0/16/24/220.
2. Correct me if Im wrong, but it seems SpDef Zardx is unnecessary. Your evs seem to be for gren and naga which are both taken care of by melo. Special Dnite is taken care of most of the time by Magearna. Dnite would have to get 2 high rolls and hit twice w/ fblast to win. I have two different set options that would be good to run over the current SpDef set. Impish 168/88/188/0/0/64 Flare Blitz, Outrage, WillO, Roost. That set allows you to beat golem and aggron. you could run flame charge over blitz to then beat flail pinsir and have a better chance vs jumpluff, but you would then lose to magearna. additionally, you could run a simple Jolly 0/252/0/0/0/252 w/ Flare Blitz/WillO, Outrage, Flame Charge, Belly Drum/SD. That would allow you to beat jumpluff, flail pinsir, deo-s, the tail glow manaphy as mentioned above, and stall type: null. It also gives better matchup vs pyukumuku, watch out for counter though. Running WillO would make sure you dont get 3-0 by bandnite. Idk if there are any matchups where zard needs Blitz over Flame Charge to win.
3. I would run Bold w/ 248/0/120/76/16/48 on melo. What this does is it lets you outspeed 4 speed zygarde, fast incineroar, and pinsir (outspeeds pinsir after z celebrate). The evs do the exact same things the other did except it doesnt always ohko zard y. It now only has a 68.8% chance to ohko uninvested zard y, but luckily zard x takes care of zard y.

Watching Mace's video has reminded me that I needed to make a nom post for my bois-

Dhelmise @ Grassium Z
Ability: Steelworker
EVs: 252 HP / 64 Atk / 92 Def / 100 SpD
Brave Nature
- Power Whip
- Giga Drain
- Metal Sound
- Swords Dance / Hidden Power [Fire] / Shadow Ball / other filler

The set's actually pretty neat. Z-Power Whip cleans out Water types like you'd expect, Giga Drain helps for matchups like Donphan and Golem, where they're more than capable of 2HKOing you, but end up losing to the HP restoration from Giga Drain, and Metal Sound makes Dhelmise beat Zygarde and Landorus-Therian (non-Flyinium). The filler slot is open for interpretation between Swords Dance for Meloetta and Hidden Power for Ferro/Kartana/Durant, though just about everything it could possibly use for a fourth move will only ever be useful for a very limited number of Pokemon.

Relevant wins are: Gyarados-M (Crunchless), Meloetta (with SD), Slowbro-M, Zygarde (Metal Sound, Giga, Z-Giga), Jumpluff, Landorus-T (Metal Sound, Giga/Z-Giga), Donphan, Lopunny-M (non-Flail), Primarina, Tapu Fini, Tyranitar (44% KO chance with max atk Crunch), Zeraora, Questionable Aggron matchup, Ferrothorn (HP Fire/Shadow Ball), Kartana (HP Fire), Sableye-M (SD, non-Foul Play), Blastoise-M, Clefable, Questionable Deoxys-Speed matchup, Diancie, Durant (HP Fire), Golem, Krookodile, Questionable Latias matchup, Manaphy, Medicham-M, Swampert-M, Vivillon (Rock Slide, non-Flyinium), Whimsicott (HP Fire/Shadow Ball), Carracosta (Waterium), Gallade-M, Nihilego, Pheromosa (no bulk), Porygon2 (SD, non-Foul Play), Sawk, Scizor-M (HP Fire), Questionable Tapu Bulu matchup, Terrakion, and you can look into for yourself at this point, it just beats a lot-

Nomming to C, like I originally did in the VR Council channel.

Gigalith @ Rockium Z
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Stone Edge
- Earthquake
- Rock Blast
- Laser Focus

Just a straightforward set, really. Some things that make it stand out from other Sturdies, however, is that it also has the ability option of Sand Stream, giving it a neat Spdef buff, in addition to extra passive damage. Laser Focus is also a neat little bop to setup like Porygon-Z, Tapu Lele, Meloetta, and possibly Magearna with a better spread than what I'm lazily dropping here. Laser Focus also makes every hit of Rock Blast crit, which is neat. Also has Curse as a possible option over Laser Focus or something.

Relevant wins are: Charizard-X/Y, Dragonite, Questionable Magearna matchup, Porygon-Z, Tapu Lele, Greninja, Meloetta, Gardevoir-M, Jumpluff, Mew (Mewnium), Aegislash (Sturdy, non-Magnet Rise), Altaria, Genesect (no bulk), Primarina (no bulk), Questionable Tyranitar matchup, Venusaur-M (non-Sleep Powder), Zeraora, Chansey, Crustle (Curse), Heatran (non-Flash Cannon), Naganadel, Necrozma, Pinsir-Mega, Togekiss, Victini, Volcarona, Archeops, Blaziken-M, Blissey, Clefable, 50/50s Stall Deoxys, Diancie, Durant, Haxorus, Hoopa-U, Incineroar, Kyurem, Latias-M, Salamence, Vivillon, Whimsicott, Avalugg, Blacephalon, Latios, Nihilego, Pheromosa, Questionable Porygon2 matchup, Rotom-Heat, Zapdos, and everything else is C rank or lower-

Initially thought Gigalith wasn't as good, but doing these matchups showed me it's capable of even more than I once thought! Definitely worthy of either C or C+.

Alomomola @ Normalium Z
Ability: Hydration
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Def / 252 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Play Nice
- Rest
- filler
- filler

Certainly not the strongest of these noms, but not helpless, either. Main premise of Alomomola in general is that it's just absolutely obese and capable of stalling down a lot. The spread is just a super generic spread that could also be touched up on.

Relevant wins: Charizard-X (non-SD/BD), Dragonite (Mirror Coat/Physical), Gyarados-M (non-Taunt), 50/50s Magearna, Greninja (50/50 between Confide vs non-Grass Knot or Mirror Coat vs non-Dark Pulse), 50/50s Meloetta, Metagross-M, Slowbro-M, Zygarde, Landorus-T (non-SD), Altaria-M, Donphan, Lopunny-M, Primarina, Tyranitar-M (non-Taunt), Aggron-M (Scald), Chansey (Toxic), Crustle (Scald), Ferrothorn, Garchomp (non-SD), Heatran (Scald), Mawile (non-SD, Scald), Naganadel (Mirror Coat), Pinsir-M (non-SD), Sableye-M (non-CM), Victini, 50/50s Volcarona (counters low spa), Archeops, Blastoise-M, Blaziken-M (non-SD), Blissey (Toxic), Durant, Golem, Haxorus (non-SD), Hoopa-U (non-Taunt/NP), Incineroar (non-SD/Taunt), Krookodile (Scald), Kyurem (Toxic), Latias-M (Toxic), Manaphy (needs Confide + Mirror Coat), Salamence, Swampert-M, Whimsicott (non-Taunt/Encore), Avalugg, Blacephalon (non-Taunt), Gallade-M (non-SD/Taunt), Heracross-M (non-Bulk Up/SD), Latios (Mirror Coat), Nihilego (Specs), Pheromosa, Porygon2, Sawk, Scizor-M (non-SD), Skarmory (non-SD), Terrakion (non-SD), Buzzwole, Camerupt-M, Empoleon, Entei, Excadrill (non-SD), Keldeo, Lycanroc-Dusk, Marowak-A (Scald), Pidgeot-M, Pyukumuku, Rhyperior, Umbreon (needs Scald for Taunt), Volcanion, accidentally went into the C ranks on this one oops- everything else is C- and lower

Initially wasn't really feeling it for momo, but doing matchups has made me realize the pink fish is actually pretty neat- C or C+ minimum, imo

Crobat @ Poisonium Z
Ability: Inner Focus
EVs: 144 HP / 88 Atk / 176 Def / 4 SpD / 96 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Toxic
- Cross Poison
- Roost
- Taunt

Crobat is pretty neat, really wish it got a better poison attacking move than Cross Poison, though- Main premise of the set is being able to bust fairies with Acid Downpour while also stalling opponents down with the neat defense buff from Z-Toxic (which has No Guard accuracy, thanks to poison typing). Taunt is also a big yeet to stall and Fairium Magearna, as well as allowing it to 50/50 Charizard-X. Used Inner Focus over Infiltrator because you outspeed and poison anything that would feasibly want to use sub against you, anyways. You can also switch out Z-Cross Poison for Z-Sky Attack, (also be sure to give it as much atk as possible) which nets you kos against Greninja (which you would need to readjust to outspeed), Charizard-Y, Porygon-Z, many Tapu Lele, Kommo-o, and probably more-.

Relevant wins: 50/50s Charizard-X, Physical Dragonite, Gyarados-M, Fairium Magearna, Tapu Lele, Slowbro-M (non-Rest), Gardevoir-M, Jumpluff, Landorus-T, Kee Berry Mew, Altaria-M, Donphan, Lopunny-M, Primarina (non-Physdef), Tapu Fini, Venusaur-M, Chansey, Ferrothorn, Kartana, Necrozma (Stored Power), 50/50s Pinsir-M, Togekiss, Volcarona (non-Firium), Blaziken-M (non-SD), Blissey, Clefable, Stall Deoxys-Speed, Durant, 50/50s Incineroar, Krookodile, Latias-Mega, 50/50s Manaphy, Vivillon, Whimsicott, Avalugg, Heracross-M (non-Bulk Up/SD), Pheromosa (non-Specs), Porygon2, Sawk (non-Scarf), Tapu Bulu, and everything else is C and below

Crobat is cool, C minimum, maybe higher

Gliscor @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Spe
Impish Nature
- Curse
- Roost
- Earthquake
- Rock Tomb

Gliscor was a fun set I made a long while back, right after virtual console moves were freed. Main premise is just bulk and pray they don't have Taunt- It actually beats Ice Fang Gyarados, thanks to its immense bulk, so long as they don't hax or have Taunt. The 4 speed is coincidentally just enough to outspeed Pinsir after Rock Tomb. Rock Tomb is also a bit of a variable move, though I find it useful to have that EdgeQuake type coverage, in addition to just something in general being able to hit mons immune to eq, though you could switch it out for Toxic or something, if you're so inclined.

Relevant wins: Charizard-X, Physical Dragonite, Gyarados-M (non-Taunt), Metagross-M (non-Ice Punch), Zygarde (non-Rest), Jumpluff, Landorus-T, Magnezone, Donphan, Lopunny-M, Tyranitar-M, Venusaur (non-Charm), Zeraora, Aggron, Ferrothorn, Garchomp (Band/Non-Dragonium), Heatran, Kartana (non-SD), Mawile-M, Pinsir-M, Togekiss (not guaranteed), Physical Victini, Archeops, Blaziken-M, Durant, Golem, Haxorus, Physical Hoopa-U, Incineroar, Krookodile, Swampert-M (non-Ice move), Vivillon, Whimsicott, Gallade-M, Heracross-M, Nihilego (non-Specs/HP Ice), Rotom-Heat, Sawk, Terrakion, everything else is C rank or lower.

Gliscor is cool, though its coverage of the more "meta" mons is a bit lacking, I'd suggest either C- or D for this one.
Also ryyjyywyy has been bugging me about nomming Klang for S, but is apparently too lazy to do it himself, so uh, Klang for S. (don't get your hopes up, fam)

Victini @ Psychium Z

- Taunt

Gyarados-Mega @ Gyaradosite

Adamant Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Crunch

Gardevoir+Victini and Gyarados+Victini both form pretty solid cores on their own, but they work extremely well together. I structured this team around Gardevoir, and found that Victini worked well as a teammate, taking care of the Fire and Steel types that it struggles against like Magearna and Charizard. Gyarados picks up all of the miscellaneous Pokemon that threaten both Gardevoir and Victini. Gardevoir is calced to outspeed Haxorus and live Porygon-Z's Hyper Beam with the remaining EVs allocated into SpA. Victini's EVs live Naga's Draco and Adamant Zard X's +1 Outrage with 93.7% reliability each. This risk is taken to maximize SpA and more reliably beat bulkier Zard Xs. Gyarados outspeeds base 110s after a Dragon Dance and lives two P-Z Uproars/Adamant Zard X Outrages with good reliability (decreasing them from 2-5% chances to 0% takes a surprising amount more EVs. What I have hits a reasonable benchmark).

1). Clefable can beat Gardevoir reliably and Gyarados psuedo-reliably. While Victini has an altogether favorable matchup against it with Taunt, a well-played Magic Coat or two can beat Victini. Not a 3-0, but something to look out for.
2). Life Orb Greninja - with the coverage of Gunk Shot/Hydro Cannon/Grass Knot - can beat every member of this team. That said, Life Orb Greninja, even without that specific combination of coverage, is a sight for sore eyes. If you have trouble with this, you can always run more Speed on Gyarados, though.

Oh my, I've made a definite mistake. Really thought Tini lived that but turns out my EVs were bad. I've updated it with some better EVs. Thanks. Also, after some discussion with the VR council, I'm no longer sure that that team is necessarily sample material. It's good, but has a few underlying issues.
