SV 1v1 Bo7 #1
Beraldo (0-0) / gorilaa (0-0) / delemon (0-0) / eblurb (0-0) / Akuu (0-0)
eblurb's hardest opponent here is delemon, which he 4-0d in pl in a great fashion in finals. main thing is just who's hungrier to win, i think whoever wins that series between the two of them is going to go x-0 while the other goes 3-1. umpl wasn't really a tour with the same stakes as wc so i think eblurb will try and he has great support with bo to catch him up to speed on meta. akuu is solid but always gets thrown into tougher pools so i think he breaks even at least. gorilaa doesnt have the same showings as others in the pool but is still a decent player but hard to predict him to do super well in the harder SV7 pool. beraldo is a wildcard but he got the deathpool and hasn't played the tier before so not much else i can say with that lol.
SV 1v1 Bo5 #1 TrainerPla (0-0) / Lialiabeast (1-0) / bea(0-0) / Krytocon(0-0) / Miyoko (0-1)
kinda similar to sv7 pool i think either bea or krytocon is gonna x-0 and the other goes 3-1. i give bea a slight edge since she's been motivated lately and wants a runback from umpl against kry. krytocon is still solid and i think he should go positive here. the rest of the pool is really hard to predict here lmao. none of the rest of these players have really had any super noticeable circuit performances and even though they all played in PL none were playing current gen. i wouldn't be surprised to see any records on the others so i'm just leaving that alone for now.
SV 1v1 Bo5 #4 lolebruh (1-0) / Career Ended (0-0) / bo_bobson27 (0-0) / DEG (0-0) / Raahel (0-1)
this pool is overall pretty strong, i think bo clears simply based on him being the sole proprietor of setcomp for such a long time that he's able to pull up with swag that people aren't expecting. career had a pretty nice spotlight in PL and had some good sv wins even when he was a super sub for the most part. his support now is better than PL, so i think he also has decent chances at 4-0ing the pool. deg is a wildcard kinda. he keeps spamming me to build should i do it??? anyways he's a strong builder and his sv building should be fine enough for pools. just a matter of motivation for him. lolebruh is newer but idk if he'll be able to perform super well here since the rest of the pool he hasn't played yet is a lot stronger than raahel. raahel doesn't have the resources to put up a huge fight here, and basically loaded the same teams all 3 games in the one series i've seen him play so far.
SV 1v1 Bo5 #6 lemonstre1 (0-0) /AlyssaVGC (1-1) / Marshme1to (0-0) / Liimpy (2-0) / LaViejaRaulito (0-2)
this pool is a tossup. randomly generated who's going positive or negative. if marsh doesnt go 4-0 then liimpy does blah blah blah. marsh has had decent teams for other tours but idk how much support he'll have through south/how much he's building. liimpy isn't someone i expected to do that well at first glance but he's had a decent showing so far so good for him. alyssa could easily win out but i think both the people she plays next are better than her win so could be interesting to see. i've seen lemonstre around in like 1v1room a decent amt but they're more of a traditional ladder player than tour player so we'll see how they handle that shift in atmosphere.
SS 1v1 Bo5 #1 Scizor Boladão (0-0) / Close (0-0) / Aliss(0-1) / bored_glitch(0-0) / Tarre25 (1-0)
close is my goat and i think he clears this pool. he's been motivated in a lot of tours lately and he's just fundamentally one of the best players we got. 3-0d the player most in recent memory would think would clear out the pool, bored glitch. predicting between aliss and glitch is weird but i think aliss goes positive for sure. has good SS support and even tho she lost her first series she hasn't been around tier in a while and surely got rid of all the rust. glitch goes even at worst and is still a solid player. tarre and scizor are kinda tossups and SS has so much weird mainer interactions that i think they get knowledge checked at some point. or at least punished for using 2023 logan cores!! also copying SS previews in this pool is largely unviable since most if not all of these players were in PL and have been around to notice teams being used multiple times.
SM 1v1 Bo5 #2 Elo Bandit (0-0) /187 Fan(0-0) / Satanic Beast (1-0) / RaJ.Shoot (0-0) / Crossaint (0-1)
edgoat is gonna do rly well here. i think it's between him or elo for winning out but i favor him since he's been pretty motivated even tho bird died ;w;. regardless edgar is one of the most consistent SM players we have right now and always comes through (do not look at horrors vs skewdas in most recent PL). bandit is one of the most passionate SM mainers and has played in like every 1v1 team tour almost?? he also played in this PL which gives him more game experience than rest of the pool minus edgar. idrk fan that well but i think he's a solid player as well and wouldnt be surprised seeing him go positive. raj shoot has frosty support so i think he could do fine in the right circumstances, and i usually give 6v6 players more of an edge into mainers but with this pool the mainers are pretty specialized so it can definitely be an uphill battle for him. crossaint literally loaded an ORAS sample vs edgar, and like, not much more for me to say LOL.
ORAS 1v1 Bo5 #1 LpZ(0-0) / Mubs (0-0) / Inkreativ(0-0) / crying (0-0) / Long Spirit (0-0)
lpz has had a really strong showing as of late, which was pretty unexpected but since ORAS is decently easier to follow than other tiers from an outside perspective it makes sense. ink is just overall a solid oras mainer that usually brings solid teams so i feel like he goes positive but breaks even at worse. mubs is kind of a wild card since he's usually just dead but i'm looking forward to see what kind of stuff he appears out of nowhere with. crying and long spirit are also weird to predict, long spirit doesnt have a ton of support and crying is loading weezing lmao.
BW 1v1 Bo5 #2 PA (0-0) / SuperMemeBroz (0-0) / neomon (0-0) / Taka(0-0) / Palestine (0-0)
bw death pool hype!!! if deg isn't dead then he should be able to support steen again and steen has had great records lately. rest of the pool is a tossup since the matchups are fairly even but i think i favor smb and taka over pa and neomon. SMB brings heat that usually pays off and he had a solid record in PL and turned around a rough early season. taka has all the bw mainers combining into this slot so hopefully there's not too many cooks in the kitchen and teams turn out well enough for them. PA and neomon are kinda interchangeable in terms of records but i haven't seen PA bw before so interested to see how that works out.
Thiago Nunes and I scheduled for 5pm GMT-7, they didn't show up and after over half an hour neither did a sub so Elo Bandit said I can call for a win by activity, plenty of witnesses
