Welcome to the 1v1 Winter Seasonal!

Tournament Rules:
  • General tournament rules and regulations can be found here.
  • The banlist for this tournament is the same as the US/UM 1v1 ladder on the Smogon University server of Pokemon Showdown, and can be found here.
  • Best of five, double elimination.
  • If metagame changes occur during the middle of a round, they will take effect in the subsequent round.
  • Battles must take place on Pokemon Showdown!.
  • Replays are not required but I encourage posting them for the development of the metagame.
  • Do not make baseless activity posts; get in contact with your opponent and report missed times / scheduling issues only.

Eriey Vs Huston, both great ladders, Huston is far better tho imo
Poison Adhesive Vs WhalemanCheng, too good players but I feel WhalemanCheng will take this one
Magma Vs Ayedan, I got Ayedan on this one 8/10 times
Freddy Kyogre Vs James155 (me) Jesus is this one of the only good matchups, I beat freddy last seasonal, and Freddy beat me in 1v1 wc, This should be the most interesting matchup imo, but i fee ima take this one
AllFourtyOne vs Discoplaysgames, Vg lord vs a ladderer that i have seen a couple time on ladder, Vg lord wins
bsu vs neomon, even everything that has happened to bsu, bsu still wins

Prediction time (doing full because Im not a coward):
pazza vs Raj.Shoot- actually not sure, pazza has the potential to be bad but also to be good, kinda same with Raj. Shoot so it will be close but Im saying pazza.
Olivine vs kowasabii - going of experience and Im pretty sure Olivine is pretty new, so kowsabii it is
Eriey vs Huston - now I know who both are, and I also know that Huston won last ssnl (hosted by osra). As a wise person once told me "ladder doesnt mean anything in tours". Now its mostly for stuff like PL and Wcup but that should also be applied here, and I know that Huston has the skill so Huston it is.
Poison Adhesive vs WhaleManCheng - not sure here as both are very experienced but Im going to say WhalemanCheng as I know he has played recently where as I am not sure on PA
DezShizzles- Kaif - I just cant be sure here, Kaif plays a lot but I also know that DezShizzles has been great (or at least decent), Im going with Dez, but dont be suprised if the winner is Kaif
ikiQ vs Tom842- Im basically not sure on anyone of these 2 but Im saying Tom as winner
ggopw vs Quote- A COUNCIL MEMBER WHO IS IN THE TOUR?!? WHAT IS THIS MADNESS? ok joke is out of the way but I see ggopw as a better 1v1 player than Quote but I wouldnt be suprised if winner is called Quote
Scraftionite vs Synonimous- I just know who Scraftionite is but I probably know synonimous if I saw a PS name

TonyFlygon vs akaFila - as much as I want to say tony, I just cant get rid of the feeling that akaFila takes it
Iron Crusher vs LoneCubone - I know IC, I know of LoneCubone but Im obviously picking IC here because I know of his skill

We vs Makkususu - I recognise We but not the other person, so Im going for We
Soulwind vs squidsarereal - Same scenario as last game, I know of Soulwind but not the othher guy
Magma vs ayedan - Holy Jesus, we have a game that is intresting, going with ayedan as I know he has been playing a bit mored than Magma (unless Ive just missed Magma)

Elo Bandit vs AnythingGoesLegend - Elo is basically a 1v1 legend and this is 1v1 not AG so Elo Bandit wins
Jirachiella vs toadandhishaxx - Hard game to predict but I think toad takes it in 5
Freddy Kyogre vs James155- There will be Hax somewhere that matters in this series probably and last time I think it was James who had the hax on his side? Well this time its Freddys win.
The Mushy Potato vs Chickenpie2 - yourim is good but so is cp2 and this time cp2 takes it
VG Jungle vs discoplaysgames- Im just not sure on if Disco has something to stop the VG techs, so VG it is (AllFourtyOne)
MaceMaster vs Ehvrim - a council member who goes into 1v1 tours? and 2 in the same 1? wild anyways its Mace vs someone who I think is kinda random so Mace will win
Harpp vs martha - Harppis random, not sure if martha plays 1v1 much but im saying martha as she has at least played some 1v1 afaik so martha it is
Djokra vs Smajet - Djokra has played a bunch of 1v1 so Djokra it is
Kjelll vs XSTATIC COLD - Its XSC. Do I really need to motivate more?
GeneralGunderson vs BigPimpin12 - 1. Its me (yes that is a negative point but shh), 2. I feel like I actually can play, so as long as I get my building skills back then MAYBE I can win
BSU vs neomon - 1. NORTH EUROPE GO! 2. BSU needs new teams, will BSU have enough time to learn these new teams tho?

I think I might want to make some predictions, sorry for the double post

Pazzaa v Raj - Pazzaa
Olivine v Kowa - Kowa has more experience
Eriey v Huston - I’ve been helping Eriey prep, Huston’s reliance on the Gearna/Gren/Zard Team might be his downfall (I’m predicting an upset here)
Poison v WMC - I think PA pulls it out game 5
dez v Kaif - dez Hasn’t played in a decent bit
iKiQ v Tom - Tom is one of the people im scared of on ladder, never heard of iKiQ
ggopw v Quote - mystical ro powers gonna let Quote beat ggopw. (Will be an upset)
Scarftionite v Synonimous - I cant tell, I’d need some data on scraftionite, but I’m leaning synon due to recent experience.
Wanonynous v Landon - unless Landon giga chokes and brings only whiscash every game he wins.
Tony v Aka - leaning towards Aka, have 0 on Tony
Iron Crusher already beat AC
SolarFlare v 187 fan - high key solarflare finna choke, and number fan isn’t a bad player
We v Makkususu - I truly have no clue who either of these players are.
Soulwind v squids (prolly dqni) - not sure
Magma v ayedan - ayedan is IMO one of the best 1v1 players, magma is good but I think ayedan takes it.
Roanba v Hijasu - hijasu is solid
Elo v AGlegend - easy money
Jirachirelia v Toad - this is such a close matchup, I think toad is going to tilt g4
James v Freddy - Too close to call
Yourim v Cp2 - every voice is a cp2 alt, cp2 is my bae, cp2 takes it 3-1 after losing g2.

Harpp v Martha - uh Martha is gonna pull some chad tech v das rando

Kjelll v XSC - xsc wins g1 and 2 and 3 or gets haxed g1 and tilts into oblivion but still wins g2,3, and 4.
Gunderson v Bimp - Tough call, does Gunderson prep for banded vic
BSU v Neomon - all bsu needs to do is play 1v1 for like a day before this match and he’ll win.
Ominous Draco v ACII - ACII takes it in 3
Drakus v Ryy - Ryy wins clean in 4 cus he gets haxed g2.
Ciel v Spitfire - Spitfire should take it
WailJesus v Zoro - Wail Jesus brings balance and zoro brings tech, zoro wins g3

I’m predicting 2 upsets
Round 2 is going to be interesting as heck.
