Admin Thread | Spreadsheet | Replays and Usages

Week 1​

  • Follow all rules listed here.
  • Schedule via Smogon VMs. It's easier for me to make decisions for activity calls when I can actually see what went down with scheduling.
  • If you are unable to schedule with your opponent, please let your managers know ASAP so they can communicate that to me or the other team's managers for a potential substitute.
  • Substitutions may be made after a week has started. When making a substitution, please tag myself, the managers of the opposing team, and all of the players affected by the substitute to ensure that everyone is made aware. Players who have already played in the week or were subbed out in the same week cannot be subbed back in.
  • If a match remains incomplete by the time of the deadline, it will be subject to an activity call.
  • Replays are mandatory. Not only are they useful for confirming wins, they contribute to usage stats and allow the people who couldn't watch the games live to watch them later.
  • Matches must be done on the smogtours server

I'm kinda scared how this is going to pan out with stravench not able to sign up, but here's to someone emerging as a top name in the DPP 1v1 pool hihihihi

Multigen 1v1 Bo3o5: gorilaa vs RADU - should be a great showing of mg, let's get 2 hour 15 game series going
SV 1v1 Bo7: frogfacts vs Kala chasmah - both showed they can be good at bo7 before, gonna trust that frog can look solid early
SS 1v1 Bo7: neomon vs Close - neomon in SS was good when we saw it in WC, Close should go positive in the weeks he's actually playing tho.
SM 1v1 Bo7: The God of 1v1 ❄ vs rumia - hey both of my previous SM teammates are fighting. Going with rumia due to better recent showings but should be good
ORAS 1v1 Bo5: Ineros vs prunyy
BW 1v1 Bo5: Palestine vs ZackPalace - tough match to start the tour with for ZackPalace, not gonna count him out tho
DPP 1v1 Bo5: YouanMingxue vs Mc
ADV 1v1 Bo5: Marshmelto vs SuperMemeBroz - hype ADV w1 is nice. Idk how smbz went for 3k but I trust he will lock in for this tour and do well
Natdex 1v1 Bo7: Blanched vs The Hisui Region - as long as Blanched watches out for monopoke he should be good
SV UU 1v1 Bo5: lemonstre1 vs Bomb21XD - bomb made champs in 1v1 OU now he has homefield advantage

A really good matchup, this week could really go either way for this teams as there are several close matchups.

Multigen 1v1 Bo3o5: Mishlef vs Rei - This is an interesting matchup due to the difference in tiers they play. Should go to set 3
SV 1v1 Bo7: Anonymous1634 vs Rec - This should be a mu that anon got pretty solidly, maybe indi01 and rec will combine to cook some insane shit this tour tho.
SS 1v1 Bo7: Frailty vs Nunnbetter - good ss series, let's see if half the team knowing ss will be a positive for building or not, im assuming yes for now
SM 1v1 Bo7: DezShizzels vs feen - I miss dez oras it takes me back, sm dez is fine too
ORAS 1v1 Bo5: glitched vs trace - espurr got introduced in oras that should give an advantage
BW 1v1 Bo5: Tricknology vs SEROO - escaping ORAS jail isnt easy, SEROO will try here before he's sent back

ADV 1v1 Bo5: bern vs Joaf - bern in ADV will be fun to watch
Natdex 1v1 Bo7: zo vs seraphz - let's see if zo investment in nd pre tour pays off, it should
SV UU 1v1 Bo5: Mist vs Indi01 - It would be really funny if Indi01 just decides to just play UU the entire tour, will probably not happen

Im curious if the porygons tier slotting is just for this week or if they are gonna pivot after this week

Multigen 1v1 Bo3o5: A Hero's Destiny vs DripLegend - Drip is fundamentally a few tiers of gameplay higher than AHD rn, while also having a better support environment.
SV 1v1 Bo7: bea vs Fancy1 - Panchams Civil War. I count fancy as top 2 sv7s rn so I'm giving it to him.
SS 1v1 Bo7: Nick vs crow crumbs - I do not think the 19.5 was worth it
SM 1v1 Bo7: bellchime vs crucify - Lumi's first true foray into sm 1v1 vs William Frogging Crucify.
ORAS 1v1 Bo5: torterraxx vs NTG Cuz IDK - Will need to see Tort de-rusting process before i can bold him
BW 1v1 Bo5: OhioGengar vs bello figo - I've generally seen better play from bello than gengar so far
DPP 1v1 Bo5: evakiyama! vs DannyDoritos - Not sure who the other person is but its good to see fresh faces. Danny hence wins off just experience diff
ADV 1v1 Bo5: LHF vs pengu - I dont think either of these people has ever played 1v1 before

Excited to see the newcomers play. Gogoats win condition seems to be "Bellchime and Bea win and hopefully we get other wins" but this doesnt work vs a top heavy draft like the giddeys.

Multigen 1v1 Bo3o5: gorilaa vs RADU - Italy civil war! In terms of raw knowledge Radu outclasses Gorilaa, but when the preview loads up the great ape definitely has an upper hand. Very excited for this match.
SV 1v1 Bo7: frogfacts vs Kala chasmah - I expect frog to adapt to, and innovate in the custapless meta better than kala. Frog needs to control his mentality and he wins this.
SS 1v1 Bo7: neomon vs Close
SM 1v1 Bo7: The God of 1v1 ❄ vs rumia - TGO needs to build teams to win
ORAS 1v1 Bo5: Ineros vs prunyy - Last I saw Prunyy play oras he was definitely Not Bad
BW 1v1 Bo5: Palestine vs ZackPalace - Deg needs to not be a bum
DPP 1v1 Bo5: YouanMingxue vs Mc - MC gets 4 random teams frog found in a teamdump and wins

SS 1v1 Bo7: Frailty vs Nunnbetter - Frailty more in form by a massive margin
SM 1v1 Bo7: DezShizzels vs feen - Unfortunately the feinster will not be able to beat the 2nd best bald sm player.
ORAS 1v1 Bo5: glitched vs trace - I had to do a double take when I saw this. Anyways all I saw from trace in pl was clikcing 60 seconds into every game. On the other hand, glitched will have memorised every set that has ever been ran in oras 1v1 by wednesday.

I don't understand this slotting at all, why did we self buy just to put ourself in UU XD? The allure of custap too strong.


The MG matchups this week outside of Gorila v Radu seem rather lopsided. I see a few players who should realistically be slotted into Bo3o5... just not there? Lot of weird slotting decisions as well. Let us see how it plays out.

Multigen 1v1 Bo3o5: Mishlef vs Rei love to see mishypoo stepping into the Big Leagues but he just hasnt had the same level of experience playing some of these tiers compared to rei whos been around the block in every gen. Harsh to say but rei will be a tough opponent throughout the tour while I think mishlef will find it difficult to find his footing
SV 1v1 Bo7: Anonymous1634 vs Rec sleeper sv mu these are the players i like to see in the sv slot, anon gets his teamtour debut after some dominating individuals i hope he has fire in him after westral
SS 1v1 Bo7: Frailty vs Nunnbetter nunn is just a coinflip really either he dominates or goes 0-x depends a lot if he feels like playing but i think hes teaming with people he doesnt mind having around so he will be scary.
SM 1v1 Bo7: DezShizzels vs feen can i bold neither?? feen fresh in sm with no strong sm support in the back vs trash ass dez shizzels
ORAS 1v1 Bo5: glitched vs trace it'll be fun to see glitched oras i think the meta is unexpanded in a way that'll allow glitched to move through more easily, trace is strong but I dont think seroo is the kind of guy who can support oras from the shadows and he doesnt seem interested in oras much atm.

DPP 1v1 Bo5: LB vs Call me PK i think dpp the kind of tier where LB can get passed some random ass teams and just outbullshit his way to a victory while cmpk will stumble on his own techs since he knows the tier better but not well enough

Natdex 1v1 Bo7: zo vs seraphz another instance of big knowledge diff in natdex i think people that tried not to spend much in here will have a hard time
SV UU 1v1 Bo5: Mist vs Indi01 sleeper most hype mu in the whole week (besides me gorilaa) this is two really great sv players i think people are not paying attention to the kinds of records mist has been putting up. indi especially i like to see play uu. im glad this is the UU mu while anon and rec are the regular sv it makes the tour more hype IMO

i predicted two ties imtrash
