Week 1​

• Follow all rules listed here.
• Schedule via Smogon VMs. It's easier for me to make decisions for activity calls when I can actually see what went down with scheduling.
• If you are unable to schedule with your opponent, please let your managers know ASAP so they can communicate that to me or the other team's managers for a potential substitute.
• Substitutions may be made after a week has started. When making a substitution, please tag myself, the managers of the opposing team, and all of the players affected by the substitute to ensure that everyone is made aware. Players who have already played in the week or were subbed out in the same week cannot be subbed back in.
• If a match remains incomplete by the time of the deadline, it will be subject to an activity call.
• Replays are mandatory. Not only are they useful for confirming wins, they contribute to usage stats and allow the people who couldn't watch the games live to watch them later.

wowow super cool seeing recti in sv7 this is a hl match for me, Indi has been really good in sv while recti hasn't played it in tour in a while. Recti plays super smart and ethical but i'm going to have to give this to indi without scout.

never seen urf play sv ever, he's probably good but so is slip unfortunately.

prunyy has never really impressed me but miyoko has been good lately.

gorilaa should win even having to derust a bit in ss, there will be no lack of test games on the strav team lol. Hctc is good but i think gorilaa is a tier above.

could go either way, strav is definitely more motivated than rps ss5 prison Waylaid LOL.

haven't seen ltchy play in too long to bold them. I think dreepy is good even though they've been facing fraud allegations lately (for no reason LOL), everyone has bad stretches but i think dreepy can start hot here.

overall: very well slotted heatrans team, i wouldn't have guessed it but it makes a ton of sense and makes them look a lot better in my mind. rps slotting is about what i expected including urfgurgle sv but i think they'll need a few weeks to get the ball rolling.

Rei is quite good imo but i'm choosing LpZ off of recent form.

overall: barras seem like they'd need a couple weeks to get sorted out, but have the potential to be quite a strong team. Thwackeys are strong and should do well off the rip with this lineup.

funny ass matchup, tom could easily take it but akeras has been farming (me) lately.

quite hard to say, luser gets significantly better with scout available but i haven't seen glitch play in a min. taking glitch because i think i prefer her no scout, later weeks i'd choose luser tho.
SS Bo5: feen vs SuperMemeBroz
feen is a super strong clicker in the clicker slot. on a side note, seeing smbz in a real tier again is super refreshing, keen to see his ideas again.
SM: Marshmelto vs The God of 1v1 ❄
tgo is my goat sorry marsh, super excited to see him play in tour for once.
ORAS: torterraxx vs Kaif
Kaif has impressed me more as of late.
BW: Palestine vs LittEleven
LittEleven bw is super fire, palestine deg or no deg realistically doesn't matter i think litt wins either way.

overall: rays sv seems quite strong, chams oldgens is the difference maker here though.

SV Bo7: Indi01 vs recti both of these teams have some of the weaker sv bo7 slots but I think indi has the higher potential to become a top dog sv player. recti's only breakout tour ever was in ss so this is a much riskier manuever
SV Bo5: Slip vs Urfgurgle while data does support it I don't particularly agree with urfgurgle's price; he might prove me wrong but I got my dawg slip on this
SV Bo5: prunyy vs Miyoko i think there were better sv slotting options
SS Bo7: gorilaa vs Here Comes Team Charm! gorilaa has been performing better and better throughout tournaments and he's slowly cementing himself as one of the top players in the pool; hctc crust won't affect their performance as much as people may think but i feel like they will at least lose to gorilaa
SS Bo5: stravench vs Waylaid 18.5k waylaid as SS5 is od LMAO but at least he's gonna get the wins he's supposed to
SM: Jamez vs Elo Bandit jamez lost last year vs elo bandit week 1 and it lead to the unfortunate tournament he ended up having. Last year he lost to a lot of strong ppl so I don't think his record was particularly as egregious as it could look, but his motivation may tank especially if the rest of the team does not get wins
ORAS: SwordIsBored vs Roginald top 20 oras vs... roginald? surely there were better lineup options whar
BW: Itchy vs dreepy honestly none of the people on heatrans i feel like particularly synergize with itchy and since dreepy was retained I can only assume they had big plans for em; so I trust

SV Bo7: Lumii vs RTM one of the most interesting matchups of the whole week, but given how the dragapult team turned out, lumii is one of their 3 slots that need to win every single week if they wanna be able to be a competitive team
SV Bo5: bern vs happysh quite a higher pricepoint for a reason, this is one of the slots horrors need to perform
SV Bo5: UwU1v1 vs King Griffin very on the fence but I'll give it to uwu
SS Bo7: lolebruh vs rumia of all teams that could've taken lolebruh I'm glad at least he's on a team with delemon, it might be one of the saving graces of this team
SS Bo5: Mcthelegit vs Nick nick does not gaf at all about mons recently but im sure if he has decent teams he can beat a weaker opponent
SM: Kry vs Felucia this one I cannot really foresee going the other way; mez hasn't had a standout performance in a very long time while kry is just performing better and better every tour
ORAS: Mubs vs A Hero's Destiny while 22.5k mubs is an unacceptable pricepoint, I think giving him a high pricetag is one of the few ways to guarantee some threshold of activity from him; im rooting for wesley tho

SV Bo7: Nuxl vs bea i dont think bea is an sv7 player quite yet; they'd perform so much better in sv2/3 while they risk being very slightly outskilled by everyone in the bo7 pool. It's one of those tough consequences of not spending big on a bo7 slot
SV Bo5: neomon vs Fancy1 fancy just has more raw win output as of recent
SV Bo5: fake tom numbers vs Akeras fake tom is one of the key players for the megarays imo, I personally would've wanted to buy him and I think he's likely to put up a better record than his price indicates
SS Bo7: luser vs glitched battle of the ages im just rng picking the result
SS Bo5: feen vs SuperMemeBroz smbz has been getting shakier and shakier with each tour while feen just had a consistently good performance last year (albeit not against the strongest of competitors). panchams would be the team for smb to have a good record on tho

SV Bo7: Indi01 vs recti (70-30) - Recti has not spent time thinking of SV in a long while, with his last performance being back in champs. He has also historically been susceptible to the type of unset black magic Indi01 is the master of. Recti needs to embrace his core skillset to take this match.
SV Bo5: Slip vs Urfgurgle (60-40) - Have either of these played sv ?I expect Heatrans will ultimately end up with a much better CG Ecosystem.
SV Bo5: prunyy vs Miyoko (20-80) - A fresher face in the community vs one of the best clickers in sv3. I think Miyoko's got this.
SS Bo7: gorilaa vs Here Comes Team Charm! (30-70) - Why is waylaid not ss7? Either way, I expect HCTC to take this.
SS Bo5: stravench vs Waylaid (10-90) - It's waylaid
SM: Jamez vs Elo Bandit (45-55)
ORAS: SwordIsBored vs Roginald (100-0) - Top 10 oras player SwordIsBored has returned to dominate the ruby and saphire streets.
BW: Itchy vs dreepy - I have faith in dreepy airlines to beat a player who will probably need some time to de-reust.

I am confused at the slotting here: Expected NTGenius in ORAS and Sword in SV from Heatrans. The SV on RPS is very very unconvincing, and I'm not sure how far murm support will go.

SV Bo7: Lumii vs RTM (45-55) - I am very excited to watch this series, and its probably closer to a 50/50. Still, I think RTM is a baller and they can eke out the win.
SV Bo5: bern vs happysh (40-60) - Bern's records have not been looking great recently. Happysh however will need to actually communicate with his team as he preps to ensure a drifblim-free PL. Bern can take this, but I'm putting it in Happy's favor for now.
SV Bo5: UwU1v1 vs King Griffin (70-30) - While King Griffin was playing bo15s and studying for something called "exams", UwUniel was travelling the long path of DPP, rising from a Level 1 Ambomb all the way to the new level 100 tyranitar mafia boss.
SS Bo7: lolebruh vs rumia - Delemon support
SS Bo5: Mcthelegit vs Nick (30-70) - As much as it pains me to bold against my brother Mctl, Why is he in ss? He can probably still outclick tho, but is very susceptible to get out-mainer'd in the mainer tier.
SM: Kry vs Felucia (80-20) - Durant can miss its moves
ORAS: Mubs vs A Hero's Destiny - Everyone knows that the higher your price is, the better you perform in oras 1v1!
BW: BoltSapphire vs Iron Crusher - Aicy been back for longer, they got this
Monopoke: TBD vs Opchurtle100 - Doug did

Overall, pults will need to really figure out their system as the weeks go on. I do think they can figure it out, especially with delemon and lumi support spreading through their players. RTM stands as the kingpin of the horrors, but the rest of their sv infrastructure is less convincing.


Metro Boomin' Megarays vs Playful Panchams
SV Bo7: Nuxl vs bea (70-30) - Bea is coming back after a semi-long break, and Nuxl is just good. He's proved himself as a top SV mainer at this point and I expect him to pick up momentum very quickly.
SV Bo5: neomon vs Fancy1 (40-60) - I have faith in neomosnter but josh got this! Fancy is a genius of the metagame and is insanely slept on fnr.
SV Bo5: fake tom numbers vs Akeras (60-40) - Thomas Numericals finally enters PL. Will he atone for his sins? Who knows, but he's been very convincing as an SV player with a good handle on the tier. I believe in him to beat the slayer of california and folder of papers, Akeras.
SS Bo7: luser vs glitched - I thought on this one for a while and I got no idea. This is extremely balanced.
SS Bo5: feen vs SuperMemeBroz - I'm ngl i had no idea SMB plays ss. He has stronger backing, however.
SM: Marshmelto vs The God of 1v1 ❄ (20-80) - Two Indians, who wins? I got TGO in 4.
ORAS: torterraxx vs Kaif (20-80) - It's Kaif
BW: Palestine vs LittEleven (10-90) - It's Litt + Degless steen.
Do people care about monopoke?

Both teams look really strong honestly. Panchams are very balanced, with good pickups across CG and OGs. Their SS-ORAS-BW is looking great. The SM slot is clearly the weaker point of both teams, with Classic Finalist Marshmelto going against chronic ladderer TGO1V1. Sv looks balanced on paper, but Panchams probably have a lot more going on for them that will create a stronger cg ecosystem.

  Tox1c has consistent ORAS results and better teambuilding. SEROO is newer to high-stakes ORAS and less polished.

  Rei is an established BW threat with better game sense and metagame control. LpZ is a decent pilot but not on the same level.

  Lumii is elite in SV and has an excellent Bo7 skillset. RTM is solid but more effective in Bo5 or side tiers.

  Bern has better experience in high-pressure settings and is technically sound. happysh is promising but less seasoned.
• SV Bo5: UwU1v1 vs King Griffin → UwU1v1
  UwU has more impactful results and a broader range in SV. King Griffin can be unpredictable, but consistency favors UwU.
• SS Bo7: lolebruh vs rumia → rumia
  rumia has a deep SS resume and thrives in longer sets. lolebruh is strong but not as refined in Bo7.
• SS Bo5: Mcthelegit vs Nick → Nick
  Nick is one of the more adaptable players in SS and generally outpreps opponents. Mcthelegit is underrated but raw.
• SM: Kry vs Felucia → Felucia
  Felucia is a seasoned SM player with an edge in matchup crafting. Kry is decent but hasn’t broken through in this tier.
• ORAS: Mubs vs A Hero's Destiny → Mubs
  Mubs is extremely consistent in ORAS with top-tier builds. AHD is experienced but less dominant in this tier.
• BW: BoltSapphire vs Iron Crusher → BoltSapphire
  Bolt has an excellent grasp of BW’s nuances, while Iron Crusher, despite his experience, is more volatile

  Nuxl is a top-tier 1v1 player and extremely difficult to beat in Bo7s. bea is improving fast but faces a steep challenge.
• SV Bo5: neomon vs Fancy1 → Fancy1
  Fancy is extremely creative and calculated in SV. Neomon has some upset potential but is less consistent.
• SV Bo5: fake tom numbers vs Akeras → fake tom numbers (podra does not agree, akeras solos)
  Fake Tom is solid and reliable in SV. Akeras is known to be high-risk, high-reward, but tends to fold under pressure.
• SS Bo7: luser vs glitched → luser
  luser is one of the best SS players in the game, especially in Bo7. glitched is not quite at that level.
• SS Bo5: feen vs SuperMemeBroz → feen
  feen is a mainstay with sharp instincts. SMB is good, but feen’s prep and experience give him the edge.
• SM: Marshmelto vs The God of 1v1 ❄ → The God of 1v1 ❄
  The God is a dominant SM presence. Marshmelto has some flashes of brilliance but isn’t at that echelon.

  Kaif is arguably one of the best ORAS players ever. torterraxx is competent but outmatched here.

SV Bo7: Indi01 vs recti - I did not fully expect Bo7 Indi. I think that SS Bo7 stravench + SV Bo7 gorilaa makes more sense here with LeCehlou or LRXC being the SS Bo5. That aside, I'm bolding Indi here, he's quite the good player.
SV Bo5: Slip vs Urfgurgle - Urfgurgle is fundamentally a really strong 1v1 player. I think he should be able to win this.
SV Bo5: prunyy vs Miyoko - Miyoko recently made GC finals, while prunyy does not have that level of SV achievement yet.
SS Bo7: gorilaa vs Here Comes Team Charm! - I just think that HCTC has more SS knowledge in a very knowledge based generation.
SS Bo5: stravench vs Waylaid - Knowledge level of the gen is probably around equal, but Waylaid is a better clicker.
SM: Jamez vs Elo Bandit - Bandit has been consistently doing well in SM for the last few tours, while Jamez has not.
ORAS: SwordIsBored vs Roginald - I'm a bit more worried about the Rhyps ORAS support right now than the Heatrans ORAS slot.
BW: Itchy vs dreepy - Pains me to bold against one of my best friends, but Itchy has not played BW since quite well before the Thundurus ban. I assume that they will take a couple weeks to return into form.

SV Bo7: Blanched vs DripLegend - One of the highlight matches this week. PL8 Thwackeys Bo7 vs PL9 Thwackeys Bo7. I think Blanched just is a better player than Drip by a good margin though at the moment.
SV Bo5: Kala chasmah vs Vertigo - Vertigo is good but I have a feeling that Kala wins this through just having more time to prep lol...
SV Bo5: Anonymous1634 vs xdRudi.exe - I am not familiar with Anonymous1634's game. I hope to see them succeed in this tournament though, but for now I will be bolding Rudi.
SS Bo7: Nunnbetter vs zo - Nunnbetter surely gets back in form this tournament. Especially with Close support. Surely.
SS Bo5: Fragments vs DannyDoritos - Fragments just fits this team's pick. Sorta feels like some sort of PL6 Heatrans runback here.
SM: Mishlef vs RADU - I have no idea why Mishlef tried to play SM but I don't see it going well.
ORAS: Tox1c1v1 vs SEROO - Recent experience difference here. Also has RADU support, while Tox1c1v1 does not have as much support.
BW: Rei vs LpZ - I am expecting Rei to play well this tournament in BW, as I see him as a pretty underrated player right now.

SV Bo7: Nuxl vs bea - This is a matchup that could be a pretty funny flip, but I just think Nuxl is the stronger player here.
SV Bo5: neomon vs Fancy1 - neomon not playing bo7 is nice to see, but I think Fancy can outclick here.
SV Bo5: fake tom numbers vs Akeras - Tom is quite good at SV, but this feels like a matchup that Akeras can flip randomly.
SS Bo7: luser vs glitched - I think luser wins this by a good margin, but this is still two good SS players going at it in Bo7. I do not trust glitched's clicking right now, but that can change very quickly if she wins this one.
SS Bo5: feen vs SuperMemeBroz - I trust feen more as a clicker. It'll be a question to see how much support feen can get here, but I think it'll be enough to beat potentially glitched teambuilding for this slot.
SM: Marshmelto vs The God of 1v1 ❄ - I am not familiar with TGO's game really. It'll be interesting to see how ladder gaming translates to playing SM in tour, but I think Marsh takes it.
ORAS: torterraxx vs Kaif - I do not trust Kaif to start tours with wins. I trust him to sorta come back and go neutral to positive though. Although I got proven wrong with this line of thinking in OGPL. Anyways, should be a good mu, probs the ORAS highlight of the week.
BW: Palestine vs LittEleven - This is probably the hardest bold I've had to make this week, but it's still unknown if DEG is supporting steen this tournament. Litt probably wins this by a bit if not, but steen is a good clicker and hey I've kinda bolded against him all year last year to little success so might as well flip it here lol. Should be really tight here and is definitely going to be one of the best BW games this season, given that Litt is a strong BW player as well.
