2012 VGCS Winter Battle - Biosci wins!

My goal for this tournament was twofold. Firstly, I wanted to test out this team to see if I had tweaked it to take care of the handful of problems it had before. That part is definitely done. I cream teams that I consistently used to fail to before. Thanks a ton to everyone who helped me with that. Secondly, I want to beat my Autumn Friendly (the very first one) rank of 1893, and place of 51st. I'm preeeeeeeeeetty close to that, so I'm not that worried if I come in a point or ten lower tomorrow.

Hax and DCs be damned, this has been a great tourney!
 
Does anyone know koksux from afaik the United States? He has 1899 but he dc´s when he lost. Btw, I´m atm at 1809 atm hoping to hit 1850 today.

I dont know him, but I gave him a win. well not gave but I wont DC.
Horrible night so far for me in the tourney, suffered 4 losses in a row....
 
ToSSdt. why play this game if you just DC? I live through your lame strategy, and own you so bad. And you cant take a loss. Lets say you go to the live VGC, you aren't gonna DC and walk away there, so why do it now? Oh yeah thats right cause you cant be held accountable for being a terrible loser when no one sees your face. People like this ruin the game.
Any one rated above 1700 will not take a loss from me. I work so hard to get my wins, only to have every one DC.
Why do I continue to punish myself? Because Ive played this game so long, and I know I'm better then every single one of you lame kids that can't take a loss.
So sick of this.

Maybe its because of my WiFi connection, but iirc i didn't lost my connections... (you were that guy with over 1900, right?)
My opponents DC'd on me so many times when i was about to win, i know what you feel, but really, that DC wasn't my fault >_>

as much as I want to believe you I cant. I am most certainly not rated 1900, cause I take every loss I get. My trainer name is Jun Fan, when we battled I was about 1690-1720. I keep pretty detailed records. I had just taken a loss prior to our encounter, and 3 more following it.

Just to remind you of the battle, I lead renunicles and amoongus, had a scrafty and jelli to follow. Not sure of how the whole battle played out, cause it was a while ago, but after I lived through the double sleep, and returned the favor, I proceeded to move through your team with out effort, only to have you left with a salamence, with TR running, and I had 2 pokes left, maybe 3. Then out of nowhere connection lost....

I have had over 86 connections in this tourney. 12 or 13 Dc's. Only 2 dc's today. One before team preview, and yours.
Odds are that if we got through the team preview, the disconnect was no accident. Only 1 dc this whole tourney happened when I was losing, and it baffled me and my friend watching.
 
I honestly wish I recorded it via web cam, cause I was streaming it to my friend shinakuma999. But I didn't, so its my word vs yours.
 
Please don't double-post, shaim13, and anyway, I think I may stop participating soon. I think I'm starting to get into that point in the tournament where most of the high-ranking people are going to stay out of the line of fire or D/C. Just went against a guy in the 1730s that D/Ced on me this morning.

It sucks, doesn't it? If you want some good news, though, the players are being put into divisions, so it should be much easier to get into the Top 128, and if the Beginning Cup and other Division Tournaments in Japan are anything to go by, it should be good enough to get around the 1750's or 1740's. Where are you in points right now?
 
What division do you guys play in? I must be super lucky having 31 battles and no DC in masters, but that'll probably change I when start beating people at 1700+ and not get stupid hax like 3 missed megahorns in a row. Still hovering around 1640ish, maybe I'll aim for at least 1700.

It does. I just had a really crappy streak of losses, dropped about 105 pts. Down to 1620 with 77 battles.
Also, I love how they split it up into divisions. I'm in masters.
 
I really liked the decision of TPCi to put in the different divisions. although I do think the top 128 rating for the US and Europe will differ by A lot since the US is that much bigger.

I have been streaming all my matches so far and tbh I am enjoying every minute of it. hax is hax, but sometimes its in your favor and sometimes it isnt, just roll with it and dont dc and you'll be having more fun I suppose, no matter your rating.

Should I get into the top 128 of europe with my rating then thats nice but otherwise, hey, make a better team for next time and try again :D Ill say that I have no regrets at all :)
 
I just want to say sorry to a guy named NATHAN with a Cresselia, Aagron, Lucario, Dragonite, and Exploud ... i dont know the other one. We got paired up 2x in a row and and I beat you badly first game 4/0 second 3/0 XD.

It's like I said back in the Serebii forums. If you have a rating in the mid-1700s at least, it would be best for you to stop battling now. Guess how many people decided to listen to me.

Personally, I'm happy with where I'm at now. I only did 31 battles, and already, I'm at 1743 points. I lost recently to a guy with a Bulk Up Shed Skin Rest Scrafty, but I don't think it registered as a loss for some weird reason or another.
 
Does anybody know if this ends tonight or tomorrow night? I'm a bit confused. I'm in US Central Time.

Came down to the freaking wire. Crit sealed it in the end, although if my experience serves me right I would have KO'd without it.

This late in the tournament I'm hoping for a bunch of easy 1600s, and then this 1775 or whatever pops up. My heart was pounding in my chest the whole time! Wet is an extraordinarily honorable player for not DCing the moment it Crited.
