Back to the Basics is a really old-style double-elimination RBY tournament: everything legally obtainable is allowed. That includes Mewtwo (and Mew). That includes Double Team. We're going to battle it out like it's 1999...literally (only with Netbattle instead of the PBS).

Other rules of note:
* Sleep clause must be enabled.
* Self-KO clause must be enabled.
* Species clause is in effect.
* 6-on-6, no Stadium mode (Stadium didn't even come out until 2000).
* No Surf Pikachu/Raichu or Amnesia Golduck, as these were from Stadium.
* PP Ups must be on, unless both players wish to have them off.
* Beyond that, anything goes!

Winners' Bracket:
Mizuno vs [kd8]otome
Obi vs Giga Punch

Losers' Bracket:
Warthog vs Sandslash
spies vs Pilocus
Groudon80 vs Darkbolt
SSBM Roy vs Carl
 
Err for some reason Pilocus can't use NB for a while (until August 12th iirc), we were trying to get it done through another way but I haven't found him lately.
 
The RBY bot works fine on IRC.

And it would be great if SSBM Roy used IRC once in a while the way the NetBattle situation is. I sent him a PM today so I'll see what happens with that.
 
Okay, cool. What's up with Warthog v. Sandslash, and Obi v. Giga Punch then?

Also you guys can use the pokerealm server they aren't so bad!
 
Sandslash and I are setting up a day to play on Pokerealm. We'll let you know Surgo if a set day and time is set. Ill send another PM to him.

and for the record it was Sandslash that initated us setting a time.. tbh I forgot this tourney since the losers brackets were catching up.
