[OVERVIEW]
Fairy
========
Fezandipiti can serve a very nice defensive role on Fairy thanks to it being the only Fairy-type Pokemon with access to both a pivoting move and a reliable form of recovery, along with its ability to take on the Ogerpon formes and absorb Toxic Spikes. However, unlike most of Fairy's defensive setpieces, Fezandipiti struggles to pressure Steel- and Poison-types like Scizor and Pecharunt that can exploit it to set up.
[SET]
Fezandipiti (M) @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Name: Bulky Pivot (Fairy)
Ability: Toxic Chain
EVs: 252 HP / 80 Atk / 16 Def / 160 SpD
Careful Nature
IVs: 16 Spe
- U-turn
- Beat Up
- Gunk Shot
- Roost
[SET COMMENTS]
Fezandipiti finds a spot on Fairy teams thanks to its Poison typing, access to U-turn, and solid special bulk enabling it to comfortably take hits from the likes of Choice Specs Dragapult and Raging Bolt while bringing in teammates. Beat Up pairs well with Toxic Chain, enabling Fezandipiti to reliably spread poison onto switch-ins like Hippowdon and Moltres along with checking Ceruledge. Gunk Shot enables Fezandipiti to handle Grass- and Fairy-types like the Ogerpon formes, Meowscarada, and Flutter Mane. The EV spread enables Fezandipiti to survive a weather-boosted Ivy Cudgel from the Ogerpon formes and OHKO them back with Gunk Shot, with the Speed IVs bettering its slow pivoting while still allowing it to outspeed Jolly Azumarill.
Flutter Mane greatly appreciates Fezandipiti handling opposing Flutter Mane and providing safe entry; in return, it can remove threats like Choice Specs Greninja, Gholdengo, and Hatterene along with checking the likes of Toxapex and Skarmory with coverage moves such as Thunderbolt. Iron Valiant similarly appreciates the safe entry Fezandipiti provides and can handle Steel-types such as Hisuian Goodra and Heatran as well as take care of Ground-types like Clodsire and non-Choice Scarf Landorus with Ice Punch. Azumarill and Primarina value Fezandipiti's ability to check Grass-types like Meowscarada and Rillaboom with Gunk Shot and in return can take on Fire- and Ground-types such as Iron Moth, Moltres, and Gliscor. Hatterene can support Fezandipiti by taking care of Poison-types that effortlessly take Gunk Shot like Toxapex and Okidogi with Psyshock; Magic Bounce also prevents Will-O-Wisp from the likes of Galarian Weezing and Sableye from crippling Fezandipiti. Klefki can set Spikes to wear down checks like Swampert and Archaludon as well as check the likes of Scizor and Iron Boulder with Foul Play. Enamorus provides a helpful Ground immunity along with breaking Steel- and Poison-types such as Archaludon, Bisharp, and Pecharunt with coverage options like Earth Power.
