[SET]
name: All-Out Mixed Offense
move 1: Leaf Storm
move 2: Sucker Punch
move 3: Low Kick / Nature Power
move 4: Hidden Power Fire / Hidden Power Ice
item: Life Orb
ability: Chlorophyll
nature: Hasty
evs: 112 Atk / 220 SpA / 176 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]

Splitting EVs between Shiftry's average attacking stats may seem like a bad idea, but this is not the case as Shiftry's high Base Powered attacks such as Leaf Storm, coupled with the speed boost granted by Chlorophyll, make Shiftry quite the formidable wallbreaker, able to get past common defensive cores such as Ferrothorn / Jellicent and Gliscor / Jirachi / Rotom-W. This Shiftry fits best on sun teams as it*can take on problematic Pokemon to sun teams, such as Heatran and Tyranitar with Nature Power or Low Kick, Latios and Latias with Sucker Punch, Dragonite with Hidden Power Ice, and Terrakion and Landorus. Hidden Power Fire OHKOs Ferrothorn, Skarmory, and Forretress with sun up, preventing them from setting up hazards which hamper Ninetales' ability to switch in. Shiftry also has a strong, STAB priority Sucker Punch that is useful outside of weather. It is even capable of OHKOing Latios, Starmie, and Chandelure. Nature Power is an option over Low Kick; Shiftry losses the OHKO on Tyranitar with Low Kick, but*Tyranitar gets 2HKOed with Leaf Storm followed by a Nature Power. Nature Power also ensures a 2HKO on Specially Defensive Jirachi, whereas HP Fire is a 3HKO.

Adding to Shiftry's utility on a sun team, it also functions as reliable anti-weather lead. Here are some damage calculations against all of the weather inducers seen in OU:

Low Kick vs 252/0 Tyranitar 115% - 135%

Leaf Storm vs 252/252+ Politoed 84% - 100%

Leaf Storm vs 252/0 Politoed 117% - 139%

Leaf Storm vs 252/252+ Hippowdon 94% - 111%

Hidden Power Fire vs 252/0 Abomasnow 90% - 106%

It's note-worthy that Shiftry can comfortably stay in on Choice Scarf variants of Politoed, as a max Special Attack Politoed falls short of the OHKO against Shiftry with Ice Beam by 2%. Shiftry must be wary of Choice Scarf Abomasnow and Chopple Berry Tyranitar though.

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

EVs and Life Orb obatian the damage above, while the Speed is enough to outspeed +2 Cloyster, and +1 base 110s by 2 Points with sun up, along with Timid Politoed without sun
Stealth Rock is useful to break Dragonite's MultiScale, and to weaken Volcarona down to Sucker Punch KO range. Donphan and Forretress are good defensive options to provide Stealth Rock, while Mamoswine and Infernape are good offensive options.*Ninetales is an obligatory teammate*Shiftry has trouble getting past Chansey / Blissey or Dragonite (without HP Ice), so Scizor or Scarf Terrakion can be used as partners to deal with them.*DDNite not locked into Outrage could be troublesome to revenge kill because of Extreme Speed*Heatran is a good partner as it provides SR support and is able to take on Scizor, ESpeed Dragonite and SDef Jirachi while generally fitting well on Sun Teams

Looks good. Though after Slowking and Reuniclus are gone, Conkeldurr can take this team to town.

Also, Tyranitar has Sandstream, not Sand Veil

Hi! This is a pretty cool set and I think it deserves an OO mention atleast

[SET]
name: Sunny Day
move 1: Sunny Day
move 2: Fire Blast
move 3: SolarBeam
move 4: Shadow Ball / Hidden Power Ground
item: Life Orb / Leftovers
nature: Timid / Modest
evs: 72 HP / 252 SpA / 184 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
  • Can get past usual Chandelure checks such as Politoed and Tyranitar
  • Provides a sun team with valuble backup sun, or a weatherless team with a way to combat opposing weather
  • Does better against bulky waters than most of the standard Chandelure sets (strong SolarBeam, weakend Scalds)
  • Fire Blast is still strong so this set isn't reliant on setting up Sunny Day
  • Shadow Ball serves as reliable STAB and is great for hitting Latias, which walls Chandelure otherwise.
  • Hidden Power Ground is for Fire-types who resist SolarBeam and Fire Blast, but it's only really useful for Heatran, as a sun-boosted Fire Blast can still KO most Fire-types in OU
[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]
  • Speed EVs enable Chandelure to outspeed Timid Politoed, while the extra HP will help Chandelure with taking Scalds or something
  • Hidden Power Ice can be used to hit dragons, but only use it against Salamence / Dragonite, as a sun boosted Fire Blast will hit Lati@s/Haxorus harder
  • The last slot can be used for a reliable Fire-type attack such as Flamethrower
  • Forretress is a good option for a spinner as it also serves as Flash Fire bait
  • Since Chandelure could get worn down by SR / LO damage, Chansey could be used as a Wish passer, as it appreciates Chandelure removing Sand / Hail. Chandelure can also switch into Fighting-type attacks for Chansey.
  • Paralysis support to aid a sweep
  • Ninetales can be used as a partner so Chandelure can hit Water-types with SolarBeam right away*

All with Timid nature and Life Orb *btw:*

SolarBeam vs 252/0 Politoed 95% - 113%*

SolarBeam vs 252/192+ Tyranitar 68% - 81%*

SolarBeam vs 252/0 Tyranitar 91% - 107%

SolarBeam vs 252/0 Rotom-W 114% - 134%

SolarBeam vs 252/252+ Jellicent 63% - 75%*

SolarBeam vs 252/0 Leftover Jellicent 87% - 103%

Jellicent's Scald in Sun vs 4/0 Chandelure 32% - 38%

Good team, but what do you do about bulky water types? Also, three Psychic types, although some of them you need for trick room, but Psychic is not good typing defensively. Have you considered a bulky ghost type like Dusclops? And I know you already had this on your team previously, but Porygon2 would be a good option.

You have a good team overall, but I see a huge weakness to bulky waters. You might want to give 1 Pokemon Toxic to lower that problem or change 1 Pokemon to a Pokemon that counters bulky waters well.

Great team but I would suggest using adamant over brave on Excadrill as after you use fling you might need that extra 10% speed that a brave nature would get rid of. Also you don't need a minus speed nature if you are already holding an iron ball.

Reuniclus

I think Focus Blast is the far superior coverage option over Shadow Ball on your Reuniclus. Personally, I like three attacks and Trick Room I feel like Reuniclus has to switch out too often otherwise.

I also really like you Excadrill! Brave, Fling and Iron Ball are all awesome surprise and probably net you quite a few rage quits lol.

The Excadrill set is wierd and I dont know how it works with Sandforce + Iron ball, I guess they cancel out but I would get rid of Rapid spin for a move for more coverage since your team isnt terribly weak to hazards.

I always go for reliability. Plus shadow ball hits other pyschic types, who can wall my team pretty good.

And the Excadrill has gotten me some pretty funny responces over skype lol

Iron ball doesn't affect attack power and I never really found my self in a situation where I desperatly needed to spin. I guess I could go X scissors or RS for drill.

  • Splitting Shiftry's average attacking stats may seem like a bad idea, but with high base power attacks such as Leaf Storm, and the Chlorophyll speed boost, Shiftry can serve as a formidable wallbreaker*
  • Does a lot for sun teams as Shiftey can remove problematic Fire-types, like Heatran and Chandelure with Nature Power, Latios with Sucker Punch, can revenge-kill DDNite with HP Ice, a solid check to Terrakion and Landorus, HP*Fire virtually OHKOs Ferrothorn, Skarmory, and Forretress, preventing them from setting up hazards
  • Low Kick OHKOs Tyranitar, however Tyranitar gets 2HKOed with Leaf Storm + Nature Power. Nature Power also ensures a 2HKO on Wish Jirachi as well, whereas HP Fire is a 3HKO
  • Great wallbreaker, as Shiftry can get past common defensive cores such as Ferrothorn / Jellicent and Gliscor / Jirachi / Rotom-W*
  • Also functions as a great anti-weather lead
    Low Kick vs 252/0 Tyranitar 113% - 134%
    Leaf Storm vs 252/252+ Hippowdon 100% - 119%
    Leaf Storm vs 252/0 neutral Politoed 125% - 147%
  • Max Special Attack Choice Scarf Politoed falls short of the OHKO (83% - 98%) on Shiftry with Ice Beam
  • Shiftry has a strong STAB priority Sucker Punch capable of OHKOing Latios, Starmie, and Chandelure to make use even outside of weather
[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]
  • EVs obatian the damage above, while the Speed is enough to outspeed +2 Cloyster with sun up, along with Timid Politoed
  • Giga Drain is an option, but it fails to OHKO Terrakion, Hippowdon and Politoed

  • Ninetales is a obligitory teammate

Ummm not to rain on your parade but Iron ball overrides Trick Room and therefore your Excadrill will still be slow as balls. I know cuz i tried that with Dragonite until I later read in Bulbapedia that stuff like Full incence overide Trick Room and will make pokemon slower anyway.

Nevermind,it does work,ignore this post
