The Pound for Pound Tournament V!

In very ancient times, a common unofficial tournament that happened every year was the Pound for Pound tournament. In this tournament, one tier out of UU OU and Ubers were randomized along with the pairings, and people would play them until finals, where it was a bo3. It was a fun tour. Times have changed, official tours have changed, tournament culture has changed completely, so I'll change the format to be in all the grand slam tiers. A good tour to get your pratice for the Grand Slam that's around the corner, if you are looking to do well on it.

Rules
  • The tournament will be single elimination.
  • Players will play a best out of three series round. Semifinals and Finals will be a best out of five.
  • Play your matches on Pokemon Showdown!
  • Tournament rules on effect.
Clauses
  • Sleep Clause: A player cannot put two or more different opposing Pokémon to sleep using attacks that induce sleep to opposing Pokémon.
  • Species Clause: A player cannot have two of the same Pokémon on their team. For example, a player cannot have two Koffing on his or her team.
  • Evasion Clause: A player cannot use the moves Double Team or Minimize in their Pokémon's movesets.
  • OHKO Clause: Players cannot use Horn Drill, Guillotine, Sheer Cold, or Fissure in any of their Pokémon's movesets.
  • Timer Clause: If a player exhausts the timer, he/she loses.
  • Endless Battle Clause: Any moveset on any pokemon that is capable of intentionally causing an endless battle is banned from competitive play.

Specific Rules

  • Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon tournament.
  • Every round, one tier out of Ubers, UU, RU, NU and LC will be randomly selected for each game in the pairings, and the game must be a best out of three out of the randomly selected tier.
Example:

Round 1:
Player 1 vs Player 2 (RU)
Player 3 vs Player 4 (UU)
Player 5 vs Player 6 (Ubers)
Player 7 vs Player 8 (LC)

Round 2:
Player 2 vs Player 4 (NU)
Player 6 vs Player 7 (Ubers)

And then after we reach semifinals and finals, games will be a best out of five, with one game for each tier, just like in the Grand Slam playoffs.
