but KOing with Sludge Bomb got you a Beast Boost, so then Continental Crush could OHKO Lando, allowing you to OHKO the Zapdos too since you don't need to double target the Lando / use Heat Wave. I don't know if it changes the result completely but Lando under Tailwind looked a little threatening

That's how the game works my dude. Check game 3 of Kaori vs A.Fella, or my g1 vs Pearl, where same weird odds twisted the results, but we all agreed that those were good games. Luck is always a factor, and you both still played pretty well.
