Now that all the cups have wrapped up, we are going to move onto playoffs to determine the winner of the fourth NU Classic! Winner of the tour gets points towards the end of the year NU Circuit, for a chance to make playoffs and win the ribbon at the end of the year.

Each series is going to be a Bo3, with each higher seed getting to choose a tier to eliminate out of ORAS, BW, DPP, ADV NU.

  • This will be a single elimination, best of three tournament.
  • You must play on Pokemon Showdown.
  • Replays are mandatory.
  • Playoffs work in a best of 3 series where the higher seed strikes one of the 4 formats from play upon scheduling. The lower seed then gets to pick the first gen played and the loser of that game picks the gen for game two.
The standings as they are now are:

And as you can see from above, since we have 4 players tied for the last 3 spots, we are going to have to first go through a tiebreak!

For this tiebreak, since all the players have the same amount of points, and aside from shadestep all made it to the same rounds as each other, in order to remove any unfair advantage it will work like this. [READ THIS IF YOU ARE IN THE TIEBREAK] The player on the right side of the bracket can choose one "safe" tier that cannot be eliminated, and the player on the left can then remove any tier from the other three. For example, if the matchup is: Rabia vs soTsoT, soT can choose to protect ORAS NU, and then rabia can choose to remove one of BW, DPP, or ADV. This will all be done at scheduling.

And for how the format of the tiebreak will work, we will start with two random pairings of all 4 at first, and then the winners of those two will move on, and the losers will fight subsequently. Then the loser of that fight will be out, and the winner will move on. Basically, win and in.

Deadline for the first set will be Wednesday August 28th, and the second set will be Friday August 30th.

Round 2

1. FLCL vs 4. Chill Shadow
2. Finchinator vs 6. soTsoT

1. FLCL vs 2. Finchinator​

soT and skelos are going to move onto the next round, in terms for seeidng soTsoT Skelos if you guys dont mind i can just coinflip to determine the 6th/7th seed, or if you guys wanted to play a bo1 of one of the generations to decide it thats fine as well.

shadestep and i are gonna need an extension until friday to get our games done due to schedule conflicts really not leaving us a time to get the battles done before the end of wednesday
 
Was on earlier when we scheduled, but did not see him and I did not go out of my way to find him as I had other tours to play for as well. I asked rozes for a brief extension, which he granted, and proposed a new time to soTsoT, so we will be playing early next week hopefully.
