Tournament rules:
  • General tournament rules and regulations can be found here.
  • The 2021 National Dex Circuit information can be found here.
  • Best of three, double elimination.
  • This tournament will use the standard National Dex ban list, which can be found here.
  • If metagame changes occur during the middle of a round, they will take effect in the subsequent round.
  • Battles must take place on Pokemon Showdown! or the SmogTours server
  • Sw/Sh cartridge win conditions are in place; there are no ties.
  • A list of National Dex specific mechanics can be found here.
  • Replays are mandatory.

Reminder that if ppodd wins the first series, Darkness 789 will fall into losers bracket and another series will have to be played. If Darkness 789 wins the first series there will be no need for another set of games.

According to all known laws of aviation, there is no way Beedrill should be viable.

Its waist is simply too thin to support its fat little attack stat.

The Bee, of course, flies anyway, because bees don't care what Council thinks to be viable.
 
I know we've clashed before but I had fun playing you (four times) this seasonal. Congrats on the win Darkness 789. I am very pleasantly surprised you branched out to different playstyles and executed them comfortably. If you keep it up you can be a terrific player for years to come.
