NU Swiss Tournament​
Rules:
  • Standard SS NU
  • Double Elimination
  • All rounds will be best of three, you may switch teams in between games
  • Any changes to the tier that occur in the middle of a round will not apply until the next round
  • You are expected to know and follow all general tournament rules
  • VMs are only thing that matters for activity. Use this guide to ensure you don't lose via activity or coinflip.
  • Replays are NOT required until the later rounds.

This is a Type A tournament for the official NU circuit.

This will be a Swiss format tournament in the standard Sword and Shield NU metagame. A Swiss tournament is a two-part tournament where everyone starts in a sort of round-robin. After Round 1, instead of being eliminated or advancing to a higher part of a bracket, you are paired with someone that has the same record as you. After a few rounds (depending on number of signups) the players with the best records will advance to a playoff bracket. Therefore, you will play every week until playoffs are established.

4-0 Bracket

EternalSnowman vs. EviGaro - closest of these 3 matches by a lot, i'll take evi bc shes a good player who apparently must also have good teams if she's 4-0 here; unsure if she'd take the time to build for this tour or who she might be getting passed from. esm is super consistent in circuit tours tho, getting to finals (or maybe just rly close) in UU and RU and now being undefeated here. could def go either way
dunoks vs. turtledoggo1 - turtledoggo going all the way baby. ive seen him beat a lot of good players in recent tours so hopefully he gets it done here too and has the chance to prove himself in playoffs
OnArceus vs. Quartosa - fucking goat!!!

TheGreenRoman vs. Hax Believer - somehow idk either of you unfortunately, but gl and grats on 3-1 start
Elias PSY vs. GoldCat - goldcat is the better player, cool to see him taking an interest in NU in addition to RU; if he preps for goodra he should have a very good chance
Drud vs. AnnaMyers - he did nult right? i know nothing abt annamyers, think they're very new
Xiri vs. Parpar - beast at nu, #1 in circuit points so far iirc
Ren-chon vs. (Winner of kythr vs. Akaru Kokuyo) - kythr ren-chon both very good players, think kythr will have more/better team (support) due to recently actively playing or prepping for the tier in BLT
Sensei Axew vs. Abejas - sensei's better player by a bit and ik he cares abt this tour since he hit me up for challenges every round
Fant'sy Beast vs. MendeeZ - deez? deez what? i wanted to bold him but fant'sy beast made playoffs of ru classic and probably shouldve won r1 too so i def rate him highly whereas i know less abt mendeez

TheFranklin vs. 4ngelMartinez - see goldcat section, no idea who his opp is but franklin's very good
daniYSB vs. Mr.Bossaru - absolutely fire matchup, bossaru's lowkey a beast at this tier but dani is super super good and should have this locked up with some defensive teams that do well against boss' tendency to stack up on offense killers like pilo kanga
TeamCharm vs. GW - another excellent mu. gw has good nu individual results so im inclined to favor him by a bit despite charm's deep nu open run but this will def be one i want to see live
Cam vs. zben - zben can always lose because he uses super wack shit but he's been farming lately, has either the most or 2nd-most points in UU classic qualifying

if ur below this my understanding of swiss format is that playoffs is unlikely tho youd have to ask host
 
calling act my opp not responding since we're extend (I said: "I'll be available Monday all day and Tuesday morning and evening" np for the translation)
