Welcome to the ZeroUsed Winter Open!​
The ZeroUsed Winter Open kicks off the 2022 ZU Circuit. This is a type B tournament and entering will earn you points for the overall circuit, which contributes to achieving the ZU Circuit banner!

Tournament Rules:
  • General tournament rules and regulations can be found here.
  • 2022 ZU Circuit information can be found here.
  • The banlist for this tournament is the same as the ZeroUsed ladder of the Smogon University server of Pokemon Showdown, and can be found here.
  • Best of three, single elimination.
  • If metagame changes occur during the middle of a round, they will take effect in the subsequent round.
  • Battles must take place on Pokemon Showdown! or on the smogtours server.
  • Sword and Shield cartridge win conditions are in place; there are no ties.
  • Replays are recommended to prevent disputes.

btboy  vs  Tuthur Easily able to overpower tuthur thanks to godlike skills in BW. Tuthur has no chance
Mr.Bossaru  vs  OranBerryBlissey10 You can’t defeat the NU goat he’s too powerful
PandaDoux  vs  Elfuseon Pangoro is RU, Panda needs to resort to the niche Pancham to take on Elfueseon
Corthius  vs  Beraldinho I hear Corthius is an NU player, he must not be well-versed in ZU.

kay  vs  MZ kay just jumped back into the meta; there’s a lot of catching up to do for missing the Aurorus/Alolan Sandslash bans!

btboy  vs  Tuthur i think tuthur takes this since he has better results and more expereince in the builder to choose from. Sorry bt :blobsad:
Mr.Bossaru  vs  OranBerryBlissey10 Bossaru probably is going to use the same team like he always does + Oran has way more experience in ZU.
PandaDoux  vs  Elfuseon Haven’t seen enough ZU footage from Elfueseon to make a clear call
Corthius  vs  Beraldinho Corthius is really good and haven’t seen much footage from Beraldinho
Procrastinasian  vs  TheFranklin Both are really good in ZU and been drafted to ZUPL, though I personally give the slight edge to Franklin due to his skill as a player. Definitely a battle worth watching
terreitor  vs  Ara ara I think terreitor is more experienced
Aaronboyer  vs  DugZa Ditto but DugZa is a pretty great player in general
kay  vs  MZ MZ is a great player but Kay has a lot more builder experience + results in ZU
 
Czim wants replays, so Czim gets replays; unfortunately the hax this round was nearly as bad as the hax last round (g3), but I deeply appreciate DugZa being a good sport and I had a lot of fun getting the opportunity to try out a few mons I haven't used all gen. GGs
