Tournament Format:

This tournament is cut into two stages - Top Cut Swiss, followed by a single-elimination bracket.
What is Top Cut Swiss? A tournament format adapted by Smogon for its OLT Playoffs after OLT5, the people of this tournament will participate in a swiss portion for 5 rounds. Players will participate in this only until one of two conditions have been met:
  1. They have won three games, or
  2. They have lost three games.
The players who have lost three times are removed from the tournament, and the remaining top half of players will play a more standard single-elimination bracket to determine who is the winner. Those players who meet either of these conditions will no longer participate in the swiss portion of the tournament, though only the losers are eliminated.

Tournament Rules:
  • General tournament rules and regulations can be found here.
  • The banlist for this tournament is the same as the 2v2 Doubles ladder of the Smogon University server of Pokemon Showdown and can be found here.
  • Best of five, single elimination.
  • If metagame changes occur during the middle of a round, they will take effect in the subsequent round.
  • Battles must take place on Pokemon Showdown!.
  • Sw/Sh cartridge win conditions are in place; there are no ties.
  • Replays are recommended to prevent disputes.
