Welcome to the BDSP OU Summer Seasonal II!​

If it's too hot in your country to bathe in the sun without burning up (or your in the Southern Hemisphere and its too cold!), then this tournament is for you! As a reminder, this is a Type A tournament, valid for the circuit!

Tournament Rules:
  • General tournament rules and regulations.
  • 2023 BDSP Circuit information.
  • The banlist for this tournament is the same as the BDSP OU ladder of the Smogon University server of Pokemon Showdown and can be found on Smogon's strategy dex.
  • Best of three, double elimination.
  • If metagame changes occur during the middle of a round, they will take effect in the subsequent round.
  • Battles must take place on Pokemon Showdown!.
  • Sw/Sh cartridge win conditions are in place; there are no ties.
  • Replays are recommended to prevent disputes.

I am AstilCodex, also known as Codex, also known as the lower tier specialist, and BDSP Unofficial PU Tier leader. I am writing you to schedule our match in the ongoing BDSP Summer Seasonal in which we paired for Round 1. My GMT is -4.

This are strange circumstances that have brought us to face eachother in said tournament, since as you may already be aware of, we have shared words in a said server created by a certain former user of Smogon, that he left willingly for yet unknown reasons. Thus, our pairing for this event has been somewhat unfortunate due to the some may say small pool of players that have signed up to the aforementioned tournament. As you may have seen, I apporached to you by the Discord platform a few minutes ago but unfortunately your reply has not come up yet. Hence why I am writing you here.

Our meeting will consist in this clash of captured and enslaved pseudo-creatures which will combat each other, in this frivolous diversion activity called Pokemon battle.

I am looking forward to beat your ass.

I, Mr. Xilefi, also known as Félix, also known as the BDSP OU tier specialist, and one of BDSP OU Council member, as well as one of the BDSP Forum moderator, effectively received your mail to my address. I want you to know that I took full knowledge of its content and thus, will be able to answer to you accordingly. If I misinterpreted the purpose of your message brought to my place, please I wish you to let me know.

Those are indeed the most bizarre circumstances that caused us to face each other in the said tournament you talked about in your said message. I also have been noticed, by the said shared words we shared in the said discord server, hosted by the so-called company and created by the said former Smogon user, who left the aforementioned server without any explainations about his intentions, how we have been, by the most unfortunate and unconsiderate and unlikely sequence of events, paired together in the aforementioned, and said, and mentioned ealier, tournament : the BDSP OU Summer Seasonal 2023 Tournament. I may owe you an apology for my unresponsive lack of answer earlier in the night (I am, as you may know, GMT+2).

This meeting, that consists in a clash of captured and enslaved pseudo-creatures that combat each other in this frivolous diversion activity called Pokemon battle, looks rather appealing in the sense that, as you may know, I am myself in possession, between other many things, of those captured and enslaved pseudo-creatures, that I kindly call Pokemon, and was actively wishing to find them a usage for my personal entertainment.

Therefore this is why I am sharing with you in this exact moment my intention to accept in the most diligent manners this meeting consisting in reducing to mere ashes the smallest glimpse of hopes and ambitions you may have this very unproductive activity called a Pokemon battle.
