Shiva starts out with a huge Blizzard, freezing the few remaining pieces of fence and also hitting its foe hard. Helios responds with a Fire Blast, somehow doing much more damage than a Blizzard!

Shiva tries to put out the fire with a Water Pulse, but as it is preparing the move the fire disappears, making her decide to simply hit Helios instead! Helios angrily uses a Bug Buzz, and it obviously wants to eliminate this thing soon because it does critical damage! Shiva decides to just go with its specialty and create antoher Blizzard, just as Helios also repeats its original move; however, all the snow blinds him and causes his Fire Blast to miss!

Let's finish this, shall we? Just keep on Fire Blasting until he faints! You should be able to upp it off before shiva can get anything off on you!

Both traienrs know that their pokemon are about to faint, and order their final commands. Helios, no longer slowed down by the icy wind, shoots one more Fire Blast. Shiva closes her eyes in anticipation, knowing she can not survive the hit and already preparing to faint.

And it misses! After a minute, Shiva opens her eyes, sees the grass behind her on fire, and knows this is her last chance. She uses Explosion and when the smoke finally clears, both bokemon are on the ground!

Arcanite, send out your last pokemon. Then, rewindman, send out your last pokemon and orders. Then, Arcanite orders.

Lol, cool.
Anyway shine! let's get down to business. Lets go for some status. Lead with a Toxic to start racking up damage. Follow it up with a yawn to put that puppy to sleep. Finish it up with a Wish in order to heal up at a future time. Note, if at any time you see your opponent come at you with a close combat, use detect in order to dodge it!

Toxic - Yawn - Wish,
replace action with detect if opponent uses close combat.

Ok look Firion, a cute little fluffy Eevee! What? It's a back attack! Waaah! Alight then, it's so small, it probably wont ike it when you intimidate it! Next, go for a Close Combat, and then follow it up with a Howl!

After that impressive double KO, both trainers send out their final pokemon. They are ready to fight, knowing that there won't be anyone else after them. Who will win?

Firion the Growlithe immediately runs up and snarls at its foe, Intimidating it. Shine, the Eevee, is so scared that she does the only thing she can think of: use her skunk-like abilities to spray Firion with a disguisting Toxic. Looks like this Eevee's father was a Skuntank !!

Regaining some of her composure, Shine Detects a Close Combat coming in the near future, and successfully dodges it! Firion, frustrated at the miss and its fallen companions, simply sits in place to Howl at the rising moon, as its kind is known to do. Shine knows how bad this could be and really Wishes her foe won't end up hurting her too hard!

Firion, time for some Close Combat! Then Leer at Eevee, and then more Close Combat! If Eevee protects, Howl some more!

Alright shine, this is what I want you to do. Lead with a loud Yawn attack, we're going for double status here. Follow it up with a shadow ball to target his now weakened defenses. We don't that last close combat to hit us. instead of detecting it, use Quick attack to dodge! He'll have to get real close to use the attack, which should allow you to easily get out of the way!

Yawn - Shadow Ball - Quick Attack (to dodge the last close combat)

Firion decides he wants this to be done soon and immediately runs at Shine and hits with a Close Combat, doing a lot of damage! Shine tries to pass it off as she merely Yawns, but she obviously is injured from the attack. Firion of course notices this, and Leers at his poor foe, attempting to make her feel even worse. In response, she does the last thing that she can think of, launching a small Shadow Ball at him. Despite her expectations, it actually does a decent amount of damage, although nothing like what she had just taken.

Then, Shine's trainer commands her to use a Quick Attack to get away from any dangerous attacks. However, since it would be unfair to get a 2 energy Protect, Firion's Close Combat just does half damage and the Quick Attack does no damage (since it was used to get away)

Firion continues taking damage from Toxic and is going to fall asleep soon. Shine heals from the Wish from the previous round. The field is still in awful condition, most of the grass is uprooted and there's not much fence still standing.

rewindman, you're up!

Alright Shine, lead with an adaptability boosted Quick attack, followed by a Shadow Ball then one last Quick Attack. However, if he decides to attack with a close combat, go ahead and use detect that turn, which only should be action one because he will fall a sleep for the rest of the round.

Quick Attack - Shadow Ball - Quick Attack
(replace first action with detect if opponent decides to use close combat)

Shine starts the match with a Quick Attack, being so fast that I couldn't even get in any flavor text beforehand !! Firion responds by lazily spinning in a blinding Flame Wheel, which hits as he then falls asleep!

Taking advantage of its now sleeping foe, Shine attacks with a couple more small attacks: a Shadow Ball and a Quick Attack. They both combine to do a decent amount of damage, and the combination of all these hits interrupts Firion's dream and wakes him up, reminding him about the present battle. However, he gets up very slowly and ends up missing his chance to do anything until the next round!

Arcanite, you're up!

Time to Reversal your fortunes! Then go heal up with Morning Sun! Then go for another reversal! (If he detects/protects, Use Morning Sun while he protects, and Reversal instead of Morning Sun!)

Alright shine, start off by leading with a loud Yawn , hopefully this will slow down his reversal so it is not nearly as painful. From there, use a Quick attack in order to knock him off his feet while he heals up. Disturb his concentration so he can't get nearly as much energy as he would desire from the sun. Finally, go ahead and Detect that last reversal, letting toxic damage accumulate and forcing him to go to sleep during the next round.

Yawn - Quick attack - Detect

Are you sure? I'm adding up everything and I'm not getting 29. Did I miscalculate something (an actual attack), or just add things together wrong, or what? If there's something specific please let me know, I would prefer to fix any errors before I end up reffing another round based on wrong HP totals

The problem is not in last round, but the round before that. Growlithe should have only taken 10 damage from shadow ball then 6 damage from toxic, leaving him at 72 hp instead of 64. Which means by the end of last round, he should have had 29 hp.

Oh, I see what I did. I had made an error in my spreadsheet (I took damage off for the Quick Attack that was used to dodge despite specifically saying it didn't take damage, oops), and then the future HP totals were based off of that incorrect one. I'll go edit those posts and then remember to use 29 instead of 21 for the next round, already fixed it on my Excel sheet.

Thanks both of you for pointing this out :toast:
