4 stat boosters, a rapid spinner, and Torterra

Intro:

I was getting really tired of just playing OU over and over again. It got boring as Hell. One day I decided to make a UU team. It didn't start off as much, I just went by which Pokemon I liked most. I looked up some move sets on Smogon, and the team wasn't that bad, but I knew it could be better.

One day, I was looking at some RMT's, and one had a Spiritomb lead which really inspired me. I wanted to make a team with spiritomb as a lead too. I didn't use a set anywhere near his though. I wanted to use the most potent sweeper in UU, and I believed that to be Charizard. In order to use Charizard, however, I needed someone who could get rid of entry hazards. Otherwise Charizard is deemed useless, thus Donphan. I also like Donphan for his abilities to set up SR himself. Next up is what I heard to be the most dynamic duo in UU. Toxicroak and Houndoom. I still don't understand why they are considered such a dynamic duo other than the fact that Toxicroak can handle all the water moves brought upon Houndoom. He can also handle all the water attacks brought upon Charizard and Donphan, which is why I love Toxicroak so much, buy I am considering just getting rid of Houndoom all together. My last pokemon is simply just a Milotic counter. Torterra! Everything about him is bent on destroying all the Bulky Water Milotics in the world!!!

SPIRITOMB @ Wide Lens~~~Pressure~~~Modest~252 Def/ 248 SpD/ 8 SpA
Hypnosis
Nasty Plot
Shadow Ball
HP (Fighting)

This Spiritomb helps so much. She uses a hypnosis on the other guys lead. Then, while he is sleeping she gets a guranteed nasty plot, which boosts her to 400+ SpA, enough to rape an entire team. The ghost/fighting combo is resisted by absolutely nothing, which is why I use it. The EV's in Def and SpD just give her enough bulk to stay around. My only complaint with her is her lack of recovering ability and speed, so she can really only knock off 2, 3 if you want to count the sleeping lead, pokes a game

Donphan @ Leftovers~~~Sturdy~~~Adamant~HP 52/ Atk 252/ Def 204
Rapid Spin
Stealth Rocks
Earthquake
Ice Shard

This Donphan is sort of a "stereotypical lead". I use it to set up rocks, which can really cripple an enemy team in UU, and get rid of any entry hazards the enemy may have. Getting rid of entry hazards is huge, because without it, charizard will be at 50 % health, thus no belly drum, thus no sweep. Its not really an attacker, but it can do some serious damage with priority ice shard, and STAB earthquake to the other team, and can be a pretty potent late game sweeper.

Charizard @ Salac Berry~~~Blaze~~~Jolly~ Spe 252/ 252 Atk/ 4 SpDef
Substitute
Belly Drum
Fire Punch
Earthquake

Everybody knows him as Bellyzard. I don't know much about UU, but I know this thing has the power to be in ubers. He is very easy to use. Bring him in
on something he resists, and a pokemon that will have to switch out. That means bring it in on a choiced or encored move, or a wall without any attacking moves that can do serious damage to it. Make sure the switch occurs after all entry hazards have been taken care of. On the switch use substitute, then on the attack use belly drum. That will activate the salac berry, doubling charizards speed, then he goes to town. Alternate between Fire punch and earthquake depending on the poke, and he can sweep an entire team.

Toxicroak @ Life orb~~~Dry Skin~~~Adamant~ 252 Atk/ 252 Spe/ 4 Def
SD
Cross Chop
Sucker Punch
X Scissor

This guy has some serious potential. Bring him in on one of his many resistances, use a SD, then go to town. Cross Chop is for the strong STAB, sucker punch is for priority, and can do some serious damage. X Scissor is on this set primarily to stop sceptile. What I've noticed is somehow, sceptile can walk all over this team despite my 2 fire types. X Scissor can do away with them just fine though, which is why I use it.

Houndoom @ Life Orb~~~Flash Fire~~~Hasty~ 252 SpA/ 252 Spe/ 6 Atk
Nasty Plot
Fire Blast
Dark Pulse
Sucker Punch

I got this set from another RMT, and I really liked it. I rarely see dugtrio's, and when I do I figure I can switch into Torterra, who can take the imminent earthquake quite nicely, and then finish it with a wood hammer. With one nasty plot, Houndooms STAB's reach unreal heights. Dark Pulse can 2HKO a bulky water Milotic with Dark Pulse, and can OHKO a max SpD, max HP venusaur with fire blast!

Torterra @ Leftovers~~~Overgrow~~~Adamant~ 142 Atk/ 212 Spe/ 156 SpD
Wood Hammer
Earthquake
Leech Seed
Protect

I love this Torterra. The object of this guy is simple, KILL DEFENSIVE MILOTIC! Basically, Milotic like to haze away all my stat changes. When I see one come in, I switch straight into this guy. The EV's allow him to survive one ice beam after SR damage, so if he decides to go straight for the attack I will always survive barring a crit. Then, I use a wood hammer, which is a guaranteed OHKO even without the Overgrow boost. The Speed EV's allow it to outspeed Milotic if it has 8 Speed EV's. Keep in mind all of this is based off the other guy using exactly what it says on smogon. If it has one more speed point, we tie in speed... one more SpA point, he might OHKO me with SR support.

My teams major threats:
Milotic~~~ Haze just kills my team because 50% of my team relies on stat changing moves. He can also wall out the rest of my team because I really have nothing to take it out other than torterra, and maybe houndoom if I can get a nasty plot up before the milotic enters the game

Sceptile~~~ This guy just walks all over my team, and I dont even know how. I have 2 fires, and toxicroak, but he somehow manages to always get in after my fires, and toxicroak are gone. Then his sweep is on easy street

Phazers~~~ I don't see them much, but when I do, they eat me. My team pretty much relies on their boosting moves, and phazers take that away.

I really don't want to create a team on the real game without having it perfectly polished , and with your help, I think I can achieve that. Also, I apologize for not having pictures. I will edit it as soon as I learn how so it can ne easier for you to read, but you just need to put up with it for now.

Arena Trap says howdy.

In all honesty, Milotic at numero uno will destroy your Donphan and get SR up again via a teammate. I suggest dropping Bellyzard, despite the immense power, with a Swords Dance Scyther.

Scyther @ Leftovers / Life Orb
Jolly
Technician
252Atk / 4SpD / 252Spe
-Swords Dance
-Aerial Ace
-Brick Break / Bug Bite
-Quick Attack / Bug Bite

It will still remove your Sceptile weakness, while being powerful all the same.

And to add pictures, use IMG tags. [img.] [/img.] Ignore the periods there.

whoops, completely forgot about arena trap, and I was actually considering using a scyther, but i wasnt sure if it was strong enough... Thanks

Milotic, Venusaur, Arcanine. The most used UU F/W/G core. And you have a weakness to it.

Milotic Surfs against Donphan, Charizard and Houndoom. Ice Beam decimates Torterra, whose Wood Hammer does not OHKO. Milo is the biggest threat of the three.

Venusaur uses Leaf Storm as another way to beat Donphan. But that's all it does. Don't worry about this guy.

Arcanine can murder Toxicroak, whose ability gives a Fire weakness, with Flare Blitz, Flamethrower, etc. Torterra also dies to Fire. Sort of a threat, but not a huge deal.

These three aren't a problem unless they are all put together, in which case they beat everyone but Spiritomb. Unfortunately, they tend to be together quite often. Here's my ideas.

Give Houndoom Thunder Fang, to 2HKO Milotic, assuming you catch it on the switch. Preferably over Sucker Punch.
Perhaps replace Torterra with a Venusaur of your own. It's very bulky, so it'll take an Ice Beam from Milotic and Leaf Storm Back. Also resists almost every Sceptile attack.
With Charizard's EQ, and Houndoom's Flash Fire, you have some insurance against Arcanine, so no need to make huge changes there.
Venusaur isn't a huge deal, so no problem.

However, I STRONGLY recommend making Bellyard your lead. SR automatically means no Belly Drum. Even with Donphan, that's still a huge deal. As your lead, here's how it works out. You Sub wile they SR (or switch, or Ambipom's U-Turn), then Belly Drum while they switch. Almost no lead has a severely damaging attack that they use turn 1. Anti-leads are far less common than in OU. It allows for a much better sweep, as you'll normally even get to keep your Sub. I honestly can't emphasize having BellyZard as your lead enough.

Overall, I like the team, and good luck with it. :)

Thanks very much slim man. The team has gotten a lot better since the switch. I didn't realize how good a venusaur was until I tried it out, and it dominates!
