Platinum Walkthrough Tournament - Round 1
Here it is, the Spear Pillar. It's even more grand than you imagined it would be. You're hear for a very specific purpose, to stop Cyrus. As you approach the peak, you're stopped.
"Heh, better stop walkin', kid" says a voice.
"Yeah, did you think we were just gonna let you waltz up here and stop our boss from doing what he came here to do?"
You recognize the voices to be that of Mars and Jupiter. All seems hopeless until suddenly...
"Don't you think two on one is a little unfair?" says your rival as he comes up from behind.
The two of you stand side by side, ready to face the peril that awaits. After a long fought battle, you emerge victorious. Mars and Jupiter flee down the mountain with their tails between their legs... what dogs.
But it's too late, Cyrus has summoned both Palkia and Dialga to the human realm. He miscalculated though, and was sucked into an alternate dimension known as the Distorted World.
"You'll have to go in after him" says Cynthia, just recently showing up at the scene.
"The entire fate of the world depends on it."
You and your rival both enter the distorted world. It's cold, and dark. You realize that when you entered the portal, your rival is no where to be found... worried, you go off in search for him, but instead, you find Cyrus and Giratina-O. You quickly dispose of the former and lay in wait for the impending attack.
Giratina-O melds into the mist and performs a Shadow Force on you... did that Pokemon just fucking hit a human!? With your Pokemon recently weakened by Cyrus, you know your only hope is to catch it, you search your bag for that lone master ball. You were saving it for a special occasion, but you can't think of any better reason to use it. Giratina-O starts to fade, ready to strike with another Shadow Force, but not before you hit it smack dab on the head with your Master Ball. Its energy is sucked into the ball... one shake... two shake.... three shake... YES!
But before you can celebrate your newly caught Legendary Pokemon it is transported in a flash of light (damn 6 pokemon restriction). The Distorted world fades around you, and you are left standing on Spear Pillar, your Rival looking right at you.
"Heh, took you long enough to get back. I myself caught Giratina with ease."
But... but you caught Giratina... not him... How can two people have caught the same exclusive Legendary Pokemon? It must be a mystery of the distorted world.
"Anyway, while I've got you here, take some potions and heal up. I want to show you my skills."

You think in the back of your head "this guy has got to be kidding we just saved the fucking world and he wants a Pokemon battle?" but nevertheless, you accept his challenge... and begin your epic battle. It's just too bad you can't use that damn Giratina. >_<

All participants must submit their team each round. These teams will be forwarded to RB Golbat and LonelyNess. This is in order to ensure that your team is in compliance with the restrictions of the round.
1. Only ONE Starter Pokemon may be used on any team, as well, this Starter Pokemon will be the only one you may use for the entirety of the tournament.
Starter Pokemon Include:
Grotle
Monferno
Prinplup
2. Species, Sleep, Evasion, OHKO, Self KO Clauses are in effect
3. There is no rule against scouting, however if you are in the tournament and you spectate a match that a participant asks you to leave in you may be disqualified.
4. All logs are to be sent to RB Golbat and LonelyNess for team verification and to eliminate the possibility of cheating.
5. Battles will be played on the Smogon University Server on Shoddybattle.
