well, I study Pokemon as a profession.
You are about to go on a long journey through the world of Sinnoh. But you have rivals who will want to stop you from reaching your goal of becomming a Pokemon Master! But.. erm… I can’t remember their names. But there are 15 of them, and you’ve all been rivals since you were children.
Trainer! Your very own Pokemon legend is about to unfold! A world of dreams and adventures with Pokemon awaits.
Rules
1. This Tournament will be run by myself and RB Golbat. If you have any questions, please direct the mto either of us.
2. Due to the complicated nature of this Tournament, there will only be 16 participants. This will fill up quickly, so PLEASE only join if you are able and willing to meet very stringent deadlines. Substitutes will only be taken in the first round.
3. Each round will be placed at a different part of the game Pokemon Platinum Version. There will be restrictions in level, Pokemon availability, TM availability, and item availability. These will be dependent on where you are in the game. As the rounds go on, more things will obviously open up.
This is the example format for rounds.
4. All participants must submit their team each round. These teams will be forwarded to RB Golbat. This is in order to ensure that your team is in compliance with the restrictions of the round.
5. Only ONE Starter Pokemon may be used on any team, as well, this Starter Pokemon will be the only one you may use for the entirety of the tournament.
Starter Pokemon Include:
Turtwig
Grotle
Torterra
Chimchar
Monferno
Infernape
Piplup
Prinplup
Empoleon
6. Species Clause is not in effect for this Tournament. You may use 5 Tailows and a Turtwig first round if you so desire.
7. Regardless of whether or not you have access to them in game, this tournament will not allow any Pokmeon in the Uber tier.
8. Sleep Clause is in effect
9. Evasion Clause is in effect
10. OHKO Clause is in effect
11. Self KO Clause is in effect
12. There is no rule against scouting, however if you are in the tournament and you spectate a match that a participant asks you to leave in you may be disqualified.
13. All logs are to be sent to me for team verification and to eliminate the possibility of cheating.
14. Battles will be played on the Smogon University Server on Shoddybattle.
