These are my predictions for how it will pan out in the rest of R2. This is pretty much my first time doing predictions too!
EntryHazardous vs
Fangame10
One of the biggest disadvatages of EntryHazardous draft? It's one of the teams with mons that rely so much on their item, and are much less effective without life orb landorus, booster energy gouging fire, light clay morgrem, and wellspring mask. That is to say the double fake out core from Fangame will surely cause trouble. Even if they prepare for it with covert cloak, it is uncertain if it's worth the item slot. It would also be rough dealing with intimidate with such a physically biased team.
A big factor will surely be how to use Metagross well. It's rough that it is the only ice resist, but it's able to deal serious damage and break aurora veil with psychic fangs, with comfey support it's one of the biggest threats. Landorus has great damage potential and outspeeds so much, so I also expect that to make a difference. Lando wants tera ghost, as to discourage fake out while dealing great damage, but it will be hard to draw out its potential considering how ghost is really bad defensively in this matchup.
Fangame's team is very sturdy and I like that. Kyurem can pretty much spam blizzard since the only ice resist is metagross. The only relevant special attacker is lando-I, so I expect a lot of physdef investment generally. If there is any issue here, it's the lack of immediate speed; ninetales has the best base speed on the team and rillaboom has priority, outside of that everything is below 100 which can really be exploited. I imagine that maintaining a speed advantage with tailwind suicune would be very adversarial, so maybe there will be a greater emphasis on support via fake out and wide guard and fight with the speed disadvantage.
I think Fangame has a major advantage here, entryhazardous draft has major weaknesses to exploit overall. Its like 35-65.
budgie pup stew vs
Idyll
For budgie pup, their offensive pieces are in a really bad spot; hearthflame struggles to damage RB and incineroar while being outran by tornadus, and Basculegion has a type disadvantage into both raging bolt and wellspring. Iron Crown's terrain support is threatenened by Thwackey, and if they go offensive tornadus, that is vulnerable to priority even in terrain; it will struggle to set tailwind against quad fake out for sure, and for that reason it pretty much needs to go covert cloak defensive. Idyll just has so many tools to counter budgie pup's gameplan.
Basically budgie pup is COOKED... Their draft was pretty much hard countered. 25-75.
AKhant vs
Ultimathrash
I would consider this the closest battle remaining this round, as both teams have the potential to seriously damage the other if they can speed control. Ultima has more immediate speed, but Akhant has much better speed controlers, and that is a wicked dynamic to have. Something interesting is that both teams want to set hazards, as they are hard to remove and have a big impact.
Whimsicott will probably die pretty quickly, it is weak to many stabs for sure. I expect a tera ghost, as it has the potential to really mess up their momentum if they use fake out or poison move. Ultima is at a big disadvantage if tailwind is up, after all, and setting their own with squawkabilly would be harder for sure. Diancie has to watch out for Iron head gouging, but ultima doesn't have good steel coverage outside of that. Diancie's offensive potential with psychic coverage and high bulk make it a big target to take down, and stealth rocks are also important to consider. Diancie will likely be the main target whenever its on the field. Ursaluna is the biggest threat, but also the easiest to kill, at least pre-tera, and vaccum wave is pretty much the teams best method to kill Chien Pao. Medicham is the only member with good aptitude for choice scarf, but it would outrun Ultima's entire team and be a large threat, assuming they don't run any scarfers of their own.(or booster speed gouging)
Outside of Whimsicott, it is relatively simple to prevent Akhant's speed control options in theory. But theory can only get you so far. Ting-Lu's phasing can prevent trick room is a cool one, but killing diancie fast is also stable if they don't tera. Medicham is also far too frail to set with. pincurchin can theoretically be used to counter Brute Bonnet's spores, and has potential to be the fastest if you fight in the trick room, being able to set hazards is cool. Akhant is super weak to toxic spikes, which can be set with both sneasler and pincurchin, and spikes, which can be set by ting lu and pincurchin.
As a very dynamic matchup, both sides have powerful tools at their disposal and I will call it my highlight match. I would consider it to be 45-55, But I think that Ultima's immediate speed and hazard options give him a definite edge.
