DOU Draft is BACK! This time we are kicking off a team style tournament consisting of trios! Team up with 2 other players and compete for bragging rights and a shared role in DOU cord. This will be a Swiss Tour. Teams that finish with at least X-2 set wins (winning weeks against other trios) will advance to a single elimination bracket. Total number of weeks and size of top cut bracket is subject to number of signups.
If you do not have a trio, you may and are encouraged to post in DOU cord to find teammates or signup as a free agent. For free agent signups, hosts will make teams based on the numerical order of signups. The earlier you signup, the more likely you are to get in as a free agent. If you find a team after signing up, please contact the host to have your free agent signup removed.
Tournament sizes are dependent on number of total valid signups (individuals who signup, join the Discord server and are verified in the Discord #new-users channel).
- Players will be placed in draft pools. They will be tagged when the draft begins with the sheet for their draft pool. It is advised to read the pinned message in your pool chat, the document, as well as the Draft Rules section of this post for bans.
- Once the drafts end and lineups have been submitted, the hosts will release the round 1 matchups via Smogon. These will be posted to the Discord in the announcements channel. Each round will always last one week.
- Drafting will take place in the DOU Discord, so joining it is required for participation!
- You have up to 90 points with which to draft 8 Pokémon. Costs are listed on your pool’s tab on the drafting spreadsheet.
- If a Pokémon is picked by someone else, you may not pick it.
- For the first round, there is a 12 hour timer. After the first round ends, there will be a continuous 6 hour timer within which you must pick, or you will be skipped, and will be required to make-up your pick when you are next online. Due to this being a team tournament, timers will not be paused. Please coordinate picks with your teammates or leave picks with pool mods to ensure you do not get skipped.
- In order to help speed up the first few rounds of the draft for everybody, tournament staff will impose a 24-hour check in. What that means is this:
- One competitor from each team must check in with their pool mod in the discussion thread in the drafting channel within 24 hours of the draft commencement announcement.
- This message can be simple "I am here for pool X and ready to draft."
- Any competitor who has already made a pick does not need to check in.
- Any competitor that fails to check-in within the 24-hour window will be replaced.
- Your timer will be halved every time you are skipped. It is recommended to leave picks (with backups) with your pool moderator to avoid this.
- It is the responsibility of the player to inform the other members of the pool if they have left a pick with the pool mod so the players can properly notify the pool mod it is your turn to pick. The pool mods are not responsible for watching every pick at every hour of the day waiting to input your pick.
- If you are skipped by the other players when you left a pick but did not inform them that you did, the skip is justified.
- If the pool mod does not respond in a timely manner, notify 1 online moderator for further assistance.
- If a Pokémon that is available in SV is untiered, please contact a host.
- Smogon’s Species Clause applies to your draft.

- Ghosting will not be allowed for the duration of this tour.
- Each team will be required to have 3 players.
- Each team will draft 3 Pokemon Teams. Every draft will be used each week and assigned to a player.
- Lineup must be submitted to me by 9:00 PM (modified for your time zone) on the Sunday of the week prior via Smogon DM by 1 team member in the following format:

- All Team Names must be appropriate to Smogon and may be denied based on host discretion.
- This tour will be a Swiss style tour. Total number of weeks and size of top cut will be dependent on number of signups. Trios that finish X-2 (set record) will advance to top cut bracket.
- All games must be played in the 6v6 Doubles Draft with Tera Type Preview on either smogtours.psim.us or psim.us.
- General tournament rules and regulations apply and can be found here.
- All games are best-of-one, with sets being best-of-three with all team members completing one game.
- The following rules and clauses are in place:
- Endless Battle Clause: Players cannot use any moveset on any Pokémon capable of intentionally causing an endless battle. Thus:
- A Pokémon may not carry Recycle and hold a Leppa Berry in conjunction with Heal Pulse and Milk Drink, Moonlight, Morning Sun, Recover, Roost, Slack Off, Soft-Boiled, or Wish.
- A Pokémon may not hold a Leppa Berry while carrying Recycle and Pain Split.
- A Pokémon may not hold a Leppa Berry while carrying Recycle and Fling
- Evasion Clause: Players cannot use the moves Double Team, Minimize, Snow Cloak, or Sand Veil.
- OHKO Clause: Players cannot use the moves Fissure, Guillotine, Horn Drill, or Sheer Cold.
- Species Clause: Players cannot have two Pokémon with the same Pokédex number on the same team.
- Gravity Sleep Clause: Sleep moves with below one hundred percent accuracy may not be used in conjunction with Gravity.
- Endless Battle Clause: Players cannot use any moveset on any Pokémon capable of intentionally causing an endless battle. Thus:
- Dark Void and Last Respects are banned.
