Each poke in depth...

620.png

Mienshao@choice scarf
Ability: Regenerator
Nature: Jolly
EVs: 4 hp, 252 atk, 252 spe
High Jump Kick
U-Turn
Acrobatics
Stone Edge

Every team needs a choice scarfer, in my opinion, and mienshao is not only one of the best, but he's one of my favorite pokemon in any tier, so this was kind of a given. Scouts, revenge kills, and occasionally late-game sweeps.

609.png

Chandelure@leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
Nature: Timid
EVs: 4 hp, 252 spa, 252 spe
Substitute
Wil-O-Wisp
Fire Blast
Shadow Ball

Surprise, it's the sub-set! I can't believe how many people get caught off guard, and switch to a would be counter that ends up either dying or taking a significant amount of damage because they have to break the sub first. Also good for spin-blocking and switching into the fighting moves that plague me, although a well-guessed stone edge is always a concern. This guy is hilariously effective against sucker punchers too ;)

197.png

Umbreon@leftovers
Ability: Syncronize
Nature: Calm
EVs: 252 hp, 4 def, 252 spd
Foul Play
Wish
Protect
Heal Bell

The Blissey of UU, cleric of this team, and frequent MvP. Walls all kinds of things, helps to keep the party healthy or offer semi-safe switch ins by healing off the incoming attack, and most importantly, heal bell for when crobat and/or rhyperior get burned or something horrible like that. Foul Play hurts a lot of things for a surprising amount of damage without any investment, and it's so adorable!

464.png

Rhyperior@leftovers
Ability: Rock Solid
Nature: Adamant
EVs: 248 hp, 16 atk, 244 spd
Rock Blast
Earthquake
Stealth Rock
Dragon Tail

Tank, stealth rocker, and on rare occasion, racks up stealth rock damage or ruins non-sub setup sweepers with dragon tail. It's unfortunate that there are so many violent grass moves out there, including HP grass on things I'd WANT to use Rhyperior to switch into, like Zapdos, but what can you do. Sometimes I wonder if Gligar would be a better option, for the extra fighting resist, neutrality to rock and grass, etc, but this team already lacks offense as is, and I've never had much success with Gligar, so I dunno.

009.png

Blastoise@leftovers
Ability: Torrent
Nature: Bold
EVs: 252 hp, 252 def, 4 spd
Scald
Roar
Rapid Spin
Foresight

Rapid spinner, and occasional phaser. Sometimes he feels like a wasted slot, and other games he saves me from some real bad games. Sometimes I don't feel like SR is an issue, and other games I have to switch to crobat so much SR is a real horror, so I keep him around, and even though scald doesn't burn for me as much as it does against me, sometimes it does help.

169.png

Crobat@Black Sludge
Ability: Inner Focus
Nature: Jolly
EVs: 176 hp, 192 atk, 4 spd, 136 spe
U-Turn
Brave Bird
Roost
Taunt

They call this the stall-breaker set for a reason, and this guy ends up being an unsuspected MvP a lot of the time. Crobat scares a lot of threats in the tier, completely ruins anyone trying to use any kind of scrafty set, and makes life miserable for calm minders and clerics.

Overall I've had a lot of success with this team, and very rarely feel like a loss is due to being out-teamed, and more to being out-played. As for threats, on paper Kingdra seems like he should be a big nightmare, but usually he doesn't give me a problem. Suicune and Slowbro are much bigger issues, although with Suicune a lot of the time I get lucky and they switch in on Chandel while he substitutes, and then can ruin Suicunes day with a shadowball or two. A well played Slowbro/Grass core gives me fits, and I've been tempted to try something like a choice specs Raikou as more of a cover-all creater of holes in the opposing team instead of Chandelure, but it would seem that whenever I do that, I end up missing the spin-blocking and fighting immunity. The only real good answer to Slowbro is Chandle, who can out-speed and OHKO, but if I switch into a TR or a Scald it's bad news. Crobat doesn't like to switch into scald or psyshock, so my only real option is to throw Umbreon at them and force them out, or Blastoise for a roar if they're the CM version. Slowbro is often one of the last pokemon in a team I ever kill, and he offers a relatively safe switch-in to the majority of my team. So, yeah, I dunno, thoughts and advice and other such rating shenanigans may now commence...

This is a solid team.

One thing I find really odd is Acrobatics on Mienshao. There is literally no reason to use a 55 BP attack, especially since Mienshao has Aerial Ace already. Reckless could replace Regenerator as well, since you have a rapid spinner and a status healer there isn't much need for it. Reckless also turns Hi Jump Kick into an even more massively powerful move.

I also think Chandelure would be better off with Pain Splitover Will-o-wisp and a Life Orb instead of Leftovers. Your team needs more firepower, and this helps remedy that. Chandelure definitely doesn't need Timid nature either, and Modest will help turn some 2HKOs into OHKOs (and 3HKOs into 2HKO, etc).

I think I actually meant to use Aerial Ace, but must have pressed A down return in the PO teambuilder or something, didn't even really catch that haha, thanks.

I'll try the Chandel changes, see how it goes, but Wil-O-Wisp has literally saved me games by burning sucker punchers, or the occasional earthquaker who wants to switch in and wipe me out (rhyperior, for example.)

You're team seems to heavily influenced by strobe, am I right? I've personally fallen in love with the stall breaker crobat and scarfed meinshao because of it too. I can't really offer much though if your team has trouble breaking through gligar you could run hp ice on meinshao with a niave nature.

Strobe? I don't know who or what that is, but it is somewhat based on a couple different teams I had trouble with on PO ;)

Gligar isn't too troublesome usually, I run aerial ace mostly for scarfed Heracross. It's the bulky waters that I have the most trouble with, generally... Especially Suicune.

I would replace Foresight with Toxic on Blastoise. Foresight can give your opponent a free turns if you mispredict it, and its not hard to play around spin blockers through other means. Toxic will help a lot in dealing with opposing bulky Water types, and walls in general which can cause you trouble.

If Rhyperior is a Physical Tank, why doesn't it have heavy investment in def/HP? Try changing Rhyperior to an impish nature, max defense max HP Rhyperior with Stone Edge, EQ, SR, and Roar/Dragon Tail. I've been trying out this set, it walls nearly half the metagame. ;)

You are pretty weak against Kingdra, specially since you are not running Toxic on Blastoise. Your team doesn't have a resistance do Dragon type moves, and i also think that Roar is not gonna be helping you out a lot since you only have Stealth Rock on your team, so i suggest Toxic > Roar. I also think that Bronzong over Rhyperior would help a lot since you don't have any dragon resistance and Umbreon already stops things that Rhyperior would over Bronzong(Zapdos / Raikou). Furthermore, Aerial Ace on Mienshao would just help against Heracross, but it doesn't give your team a lot of problems since you have stallbreaking Crobat, so i would try Drain Punch because it helps a lot against things like Umbreon that stops you from going for HJK since they have Protect.

gl :]

I did switch foresight for toxic on Blast, u-turn for super fang on crobat, and at least for my PO team, I switched Rhyperior for Metagross (lol@PO for that one haha.) Has been mostly doing extremely well, but I find I get trolled hard by Sabeleye

You said you have trouble with Sableye, correct? Well, Sabeleye has putrid Special Defense, and Special Attackers usually don't mind willowisp. Also, using fire types (like your Chandelure) can absorb WoW with their typing and 1shot Sableye with a STAB attack. If u see a Sableye on your opponents team, make sure u keep Chandelure alive. Hope this helps.
